  1. Suggest ideas on how to improve Pulseway

  1. It would be nice with a build in option to trigger notifications based on failed Agent Jobs. We are currently using this custom SQL Query in 'msdb': SELECT STUFF((SELECT N', ' + name FROM (SELECT name FROM dbo.sysjobs WHERE (SELECT TOP 1 run_status FROM dbo.sysjobhistory WHERE (step_id = 0) AND (job_id = sysjobs.job_id) ORDER BY run_date DESC, run_time DESC) = 0 AND (enabled = 1)) AS [n1] FOR XML PATH(''),TYPE).value('text()[1]','nvarchar(max)'),1,2,N'') AS [Failed] // Martin.

  2. As I create more scripts, they become hard to keep categorized, especially when the folders grow with the scripts. I would like to be able to move scripts from folder to folder and also to copy them to another folder. Drag and drop functionality would be preferred.

I would like to request the ability to export your current list of notifications to a file for archiving purposes. This way you can clear all current notifications but retain the information for reference purposes. Thanks for a great product!

  4. Started by Matt,

I would like to use the "request support" feature that was added to PC Monitor on some end user systems, but the icon is set to Only show notifications. Can you change the default behavior for the icon to Show icon and notifications? If not, does anyone have any ideas on how to make this easier for an end user to find? Thanks for your assistance.

My host disabled SSL completely not long ago due to the security issues that have come to light recently. Ironically, in doing so, they have reduced security in some ways. Any client that does not support TLS must not use any encryption at all. This is the case with Pulseway; I have the choice either to use SSL (which will not work, as I mentioned), or plaintext. I didn't see TLS mentioned on the Roadmap. Would you please consider it?

  6. In the active directory module we can see users that are locked out, is it possible to add users with expired passwords as well. Instead if searching for a user sometimes I just want to see a list of users, would it be possible to show all users Instead of searching for them? Reason being it's a quick way to help clients with expired passwords and a quick way to see any abnormal accounts in AD.

Are there any plans for Pulseway to be added to Zapier's directory of apps? Also, are there any billing integrations available? I'd like to be able to automate billing by group, e.g. Client X has 5 servers and 30 workstations monitored by Pulseway, and those quantities are automatically updated in QuickBooks.

Maybe this feature exists and I just don't see it, but it would really be handy if on my HTC the "normal" status updates would remove the "elevated" and "critical" updates as to clear the phone vs. having to manually delete each one.

Hi, when you shut down or reboot the server, you receive quite a lot of notifications about services going down. Is it possible to somehow detect that shutdown/reboot has been issued and suppress all notifications for monitored services until next start?

  10. Started by BartB,

I would like to request that CrashPlan backup monitoring be added to Pulseway.

  11. Hi, upon first-time configuration on new server I spend a lot of time to configure MONITORED SERVICES, one by one, having another window with SERVICES.MSC open and comparing services one by one, if it is running and whether to check it or not. I'd suggest better approach here: Improvement 1 would be to have a button under SERVICES tab, saying "Select all running services". Improvement 2 would be to have "Service status" shown under SERVICES tab Improvement 3 would be some sort of "Collective intelligence", where you'd have a button to "Select most common services", where info in background would be sorted on Pulseway servers, like, computer OS --> W…

  13. It would be good to be able to set a schedule when executing a script from a device. For example, if I wanted to schedule a script to run at night. This script would be scheduled on a per device basis. An example would be scheduling a reboot script for a server in the middle of the night. I don't want to have to create tasks to run these. Instead, I would go to the device to run a script the same way I would run a script now, but with an option to schedule this script for a later time and date.

Hello, I would really love to know when my computer was last seen online (Date and Time if possible). This information should be included when the computer is offline. It's useful to know when the computer got offline if you don't actually monitor it's power state. Any comments on this? Thanks.

  15. Typically, in a Remote Desktop hosting environment, we want to keep the per-user memory footprint as small as possible. 8 MB doesn't seem like much on a typical desktop or server, but on an RDSH, every byte counts, because RDSH capacity is generally determined by RAM. My understanding from another thread, here, is that PCMONTASK was added for the screen view feature, and that's all it's used for. Even at 8MB, this one task increases the memory footprint of an RDPINIT session here by about 50%, and is far larger than any of the other per-user "overhead" tasks we run here. By "overhead", I mean the mimimum background processes that are not what the user logs on in ord…

  16. Started by ShaunInIdaho,

Please support webhooks as destinations for notifications. This opens up integrations with many other services without the need for Pulseway to configure specific integrations for each one. The feature should be able to send a post to a URL when the specified event type is triggered. If possible, the ability to add headers to the webhook would make the feature even more usable (imagine cases where you want to send a message to teams, hangouts, etc...). Thanks!

I've found that my PC Monitor configuration changes tend to be retroactive. When something goes wrong with a machine, I think, "Sure wish I had a Notification set up for that." And that's when I do it. Currently, PC Monitor gives us a tool but it's up to us to make it useful. So we all have to reinvent the wheel. For example, in the Windows world, we all want to know when System/EventLog/6008 occurs (unexpected shutdown) but we might not think of creating a Notification until it happens. Many more are less universal, but would still have broad appeal. I'd like to see a PC Monitor Repository containing exports of useful PCM settings. User-submitted & MMSoft-submi…

I'd like to see in addition to Windows Updates being controlled by patch management, the ability to update and patch things like Adobe Reader, Silverlight, Flash etc. A lot of these items are attack vectors and it would be nice to be able to patch them as well.

  19. Now we get notification of everything. Our users want to be able to select (for example) just the critical and elevated notifications on the mobile app and windows 10 app. Should not be that hard to code..

  20. Started by Simon Hooper,

I have finally acquired a big tv to go on the wall of the office Its now happily running the Dashboard. Would it be possible to make the dashboard split screen? I.e Current setup on the left of the screen and on the right some sort of rss style ticker that cycles through the event notifications?I know this does it at them bottom, but I am currently monitoring about 120 systems so I would like a 'cleaner' alternative.

  21. We currently use TeamViewer as our remote support software and like to have Pulseway as a backup to that, but one thing that we like to do is record our sessions for both accountability and to have the ability to reference something we have done in the past to resolve an issue or to double check one's work. If Pulseway is to compete with this, I would like to see the ability to record these sessions.

  22. It would make the solution complete to be able to remote in to a system using the Mobile Apps. The Mobile Apps can do alot but still not everything so..

  23. Hi, I'm currently running through a lot of notification. Running through 30 different notification, I notice that I should focus on probably 6 of those and delete the others. Currently I can only delete 1 notification at a time. Do you think it will be awesome for us to have the ability to sort, multiple select and delete *some* notifications?

http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/azure/hh974476.aspx http://channel9.msdn.com/Events/TechEd/NorthAmerica/2012/SIA322 I would really like to be able to do password reset for customer email accounts! If customers do have have 2 servers to run dirsync with active directory you can only perform password resets via web interface. Since most of my customers are in office365 now this has become a huge pain in the @ss!

  25. Is there a way to password protect the uninstallation of the agent? If not, I believe that would be very useful and should be considered as a feature request.
