Bugs

Please report any bugs here

  1. We are randomly getting "Agent Missing" errors on machines even with the AV reporting to be installed in Pulseway (Application tab) and its fully working in Bitdefender GravityZone

It seems as though the option of reboot if required under patch policies is not working correctly. There are instances where the service installs a patch or a 3rd party update to a product that I know for sure does not require a reboot but the machine will still reboot. Also, is there a way to split out the 3rd party patching from the windows updates? We have users that miss patching windows and it forces their machine to reboot multiple times. One for windows updates and another for 3rd party even though it is not required. Why would the system not install both windows updates and 3rd party patching if both are needed and then do 1 reboot IF REQUIRED?

  3. This was promised to be fixed long time ago and is still isn't. Every time I switch users on Windows 10, I get the reconnecting screen and never reconnect back, I have to close the Remote Session and Reconnect again. If I log out the user, I get the Reconnecting screen and never reconnects back, I have to close the remote session and reconnect again. If I restart the computer it doesn't reconnect back either. When will this be fixed for good?

  4. Hello all, We are having an issue when we add new systems to Pulseway using the custom iso installer in that it doesn't seem to acknowledge that the system is newly added. Because of this PW doesn't run the workflow designed to run at install and it's creating quite a hassle for us seeing as we set up about 100 computers a year. It worked without any issues up until recently. We'd run the iso, PW would see the newly added system, and the workflow would be triggered. Now, we run the iso, the system is still added to PW, but nothing happens. There is no notification that the system has been added nor is the workflow triggered. If I then manually run the same ins…

  5. Since 24th Jan, when I delete a notification via Pulseway dashboard it come back with same timestamp within in few seconds. However, I am able to delete notifications permanently via the mobile app. Anyone else having the same issue ? Also, for past 2 weeks pulseway ticketing is very slow, when you try to create a new ticket or add notes etc.. the load time is very high.

I have the software installed on my iPod and it was working fine yesterday. Today when connecting to the PC, I get this error. I have re-newed my password on the desktop and had the password reset and created a new password... still the same error on the iPod, however I can login from my phone with no problems. The funny this is that I get the notifications on the iPod, but I can't login to see the servers.

Coulda sworn I'd posted this a long time ago, but I guess not. On a WS2008 R2 Core machine, when you click Import or Export, PC Monitor Manager vomits forth the .Net message at the end of this post. (Gee, .Net, are you sure this is ALL that's wrong??) Thus it's not possible to import or export with a Core box. Now, I'm no .Net expert, but I know there's no such thing as a Vista common dialog in Core! See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.Runtime.InteropServices.COMException (0x80040111): Creating an instance of the COM component with …

In Desktop 2.7 or Manager 2.7, create or edit an Event Log Notifications. Grab a corner of the dialog box and gradually make it smaller, watching what happens as you do so.

hi Guys, I'm loving this software! But i have a few minor issues... Last night I enabled Notification of Logon and Logoffs... After a few Windows RDP sessions to the computers and "X'ing" out of the rdp session (I need them to stay logged in)..I am now receiving random notifications of that "The administrator" logged in... and the administrator logged off... These notification are very random... So now I have to just leave that notification off for now. Is this a known issue? Is there a fix? Am I doing something wrong? Please advise. Thank you!

  13. I noticed that fast scrolling on iOS 5.1.1 on iPhone can crash app preety easly. This happens mostly when some data is loading/refreshing while you start scrolling. For example if i delete notifications and quickly jump into computers and fast scroll down (I've got over 40 machines) it crashes (it's visible the network is working then).

  16. Scenario: 1) My device is set to have read-only access to the monitored computer (not sure if this matters) 2) I have the Windows Updates "feature" ENABLED on the monitored computer 3) I have notifications for critical/important updates DISABLED on the monitored computer. Under this setup, when I attempt to list the pending windows updates for the computer on my device (Android, if that matters) the list is always empty. Only when I actually enable the notifications for updates are they shown. I want to be able to see the pending windows updates for a subset of my computers without actually being notified about them (they are critical systems that can only h…

Hello, I have two Windows 2008 R2 machines. Which the BackupExec Remote Agent installed. On both of these machines is the PcMonitor Agent installed (Version v4.0, 4989). I try to monitor the service (with System|Services) but I get no notification if the service is stopped. The service name is "Backup Exec Remote Agent for Windows Servers" (BackupExecAgentAccelerator). This looks like a bug for me. Other service monitoring is working. Thanks for your help. Regards, Thorsten

  19. Started by Labsy,

Hi, excellent application, must say and we'll purchase it definitelly! One of the bugs I noticed is that PING sensor within application on Ubuntu 10.04 linux is much different from ping, issued via console. For example, PCmonitor reports ping alarm, because it it over 24 ms... ....but at the same time I was pinging the same target via console, getting latency times from 0,8 to 1,2 ms, not more. I assume PCmonitor ping uses some internal mechanism to ping, but it probably does some job at the same time, so it skips some replies. Or not. But the fact is, that (at least on Linux, tested on 2 different linux boxes) reported pings are not real.

  21. On one of my Windows XP (32-bit) computers, the current version of PC Monitor was installed, It had stopped functioning properly. and I found that many files in the PC Monitor folder had been lost. In addition, the PC Monitor entry in the Add/Remove programs list under the Control Panel was not present. As a result, I cannot run the program, I cannot uninstall the program and I cannot re-install or repair the software because I get error messages stating that "the software already exists", "the service cannot be started on this computer". I do not know the correct procedure to unregister the many dll files if there is one. I simply do not know what to do. Please help…

  22. At startup both daemon & agent are shown to be running. In Activity Monitor the PCMonitorAgent process is highlighted red and shown to be not responding (consistently after system startup) The only fix on my system is to first quit the process and then: NOTE: after quitting the process the agent is still shown to be running in the menu bar drop-down. - restart the process using: launchctl start PCMonitorAgent After these steps the agent starts and runs without reporting as not responding until the system is restarted. I have not come across any undesired effects from this process running or not; can still access the machine via my devices, for example, and all…

  23. I'm having issues with pcmonitor on and older vps running Debian squeeze. I've found that running it through valgrind keeps it stable. (No "SOAP" errors or "pcmonitor: double free or corruption (!free) 0x-blah..." errors) For eg: valgrind pcmonitord -v Optionally dumping output to /dev/null: valgrind pcmonitord -v > /dev/null & Im unsure why it continues to run through valgrind happily while it wont run solo, but it its been running for about an hour through valgrind with no issues. Install valgrind on Debian/Ubuntu: apt-get install valgrind If someone out there is having the same issue, and doesnt mind a hack-job rig, maybe this can help.

  24. Thank you very much for adding network monitoring to the linux agent, I love being able to see status for all my machines regardless of OS! I did see one item that I wanted to report as a potential bug though. When you click on Network (iPhone app) for a Linux machine, the network Receiving and Sending is displayed as Kb/s (kilobits per second) but when you click on the interface, the graph reports (correctly I believe) as KB/s (kilobytes per second). Please see attached screenshots. My OSX and Windows servers report/display the information properly, it is only my Linux machines with the new agent where I am seeing this. Thanks, Brian

  25. "https://ws3.pulseway.com/Server.svc that could accept the message. This is often caused by an incorrect address or SOAP action. See InnerException, if present, for more details." We have about 35 servers in out PC Monitor account. As of this morning PC Monitor reports one of our Terminal Servers to be offline. The server is a 2012 Windows Terminal Server on a 5.5 esxi box with a few other VMs. I've rebooted, added an exception for the program in the Windows Firewall, re-installed PC Monitor and tried to telnet to the ws3.pulseway.com server. I can not telnet to it however I can telnet to ws15.pulseway.com from this affected server. Server time is correct.
