Patch management is great for workstations, but I think it’s lacking for servers. The only thing Connectwise Automate did well was server patch management. For example, you could apply a patch to a test server, in the state test. If the patch was not disapproved within the time period you set, the patch would roll out to all the other servers in the group automatically. Jon

Can I set up a dashboard to remember the monitor on which it was closed? I have a workstation with three monitors. I've set up a full-screen app on monitor number three, but every day the dashboard runs on the main monitor number one. Thank you

Hey guys, I am aware that I can add an invoice-wide discount, but we really need a way to invoice line items. The only work around is to generate multiple invoices when you don't want the discount to apply to entire invoice. I want customer's to see the actual normal price, I don't just want to edit the extended price. Also, I like the new billing automation feature. But we also need to a way to add a (hopefully future line item) discount to the billing automation. We generally offer a discount on recurring flat fee services for the first 6 or 12 months of the term, and I need a way to put this in so that I don't have to manually change everything on each invoi…

Hey Guys, It would be great if we had some integration with https://chocolatey.org for windows package management, its basically like apt-get or yum for windows which seems a lot better IMHO then ninite type solutions. Having its own tab under group policy for example to install selected apps across multiple machines and keep them updated within patch windows for example. The following Features would be great to see added Select which items can generate notifications and certain hours, for example, i don't care if something failed to ping at 3am but i might want to know if a server goes offline at 3am. So i want to be able to pick and choose certain items and which hours those notifications are active. ping but do not notify (just to view when needed for troubleshooting)

It was would be awesome if you could in the pulseway rules, create a rule that if it see's an alert/notification/event log error X numbers of times within so many hours or minutes then run the rule specified. What this would do is allow me to automate a fix to a problem without having a false positive and running a rule that really was only effecting 1 person versus 10 people for example.

Had an idea for a self help portal for users using Pulseway. I was looking through the API and didn't see any hooks to allow this; but what if admins could define a list of scripts that users could self-run on their systems through Pulseway. A good use case for this would be installing common apps like Google Chrome or doing a series of regular tasks like emptying recycling bins or clearing various caches. Basically giving users access to a set list of scripts that they can run on their own computers through Pulseway. Pulseway WebApp in 6.x has implemented the centralized management of Group Policy via the Configuration section of Server Admin. This is a Great Start! Now it would be great if we could configure policy at the Site and Organization Level as well. With application rules similar to Active Directory where the Organization policy would be overwritten by the Site Policy which would be overwritten by the Group Policy. This would allow for easy policy changes across all systems at the Organization Level and more granular policy changes at Site and Group Level. I am finding the interface to be aggravating. In some places when i click on a ticket I get a pop out window that holds my ticket and time entries. I love it working this way. But then I go to the timesheets look at the list of the tickets there and click one and it opens in a new or the current tab. I dislike tickets opening in the current or new tab, but even more... I dislike the inconsistency where in one place it opens differently than another. Let's get the interface to be consistent. AND while your at it, maybe the new/same tab vs new window can be a configurable choice so that users won't complain that their favorite way of tickets opening isn't stuck doing the op…

Hello fellow forum readers! The new policies setting within Pulseway seems like a good step forward, great job on that! Now on to the request part of the post; It seems silly to just be able to assign a single policy to a customer. A better solution would be to allow multiple policy settings to a single Agent Group. This way you can specify a default policy for all customers, and finetune the policy for specific solutions. In the customer only policy it would be possible to filter out specific errors, which are a known feature for the particular Agent Group. Looking forward to a response, Alex Grolleman

Having a way to search computers by users would be an amazing feature add. This way, when larger clients call into helpdesk, we could search by that caller and expedite the process. Add to that, the ability to search for all computers that a specific user is logged into.

One thing I'm missing from Ninja that would be incredibly handy to have here at Pulseway is the ability to modify the system tray in depth. Theirs allows the ability to create hyperlinks, separate the information, a contact form, etc. The ability for the system tray to show different sets of information, customizable to the MSP would work fantastically.

I'm sitting here importing items from Quickbooks and I'm painstakingly clicking and setting each item that I want because the PSA is including categories as something that can be imported. IDK why they can't be used. It's also guessing at which QB services are Work Items and Services and is just backward at its guesses. Some frustrations with this process and the way its setup. I started and then realized I should show more and when I did everything I clicked or set was lost so I had to start over again 20 minutes later and I accidentally click something and deselected all the check marks. I often have to enable and disable mailbox forwarding for users in Exchange. Right now the only way to do this is via Exchange itself. I'd love to see this functionality added to the Pulseway client so I can go this on the go.

Hi Pulseway, I would like the possibility to add monitoring for Public Ports. The Pulseway Agent could ask the Pulseway server to test for open ports at the Public IP. I would also like a boolean value, so we could decide if we want a notification, if the port is open or closed. --- Summed up, I would like to monitor if some critical ports are open from the public IP, like SSH, RDP, etc. and get notified if they are. Of course I could write a Plugin the is based on a webservice, but it would be more smooth, with a build in feature. --- Br, Matin.

Hey guys! I have a couple of things that would greatly improve my own workflow and also improving the remote desktop client in general, so I decided to collect them all in one thread. Please share your thoughts. 1. Adding sections for tags, notes and last logged on user in the Remote Desktop Client GUI. This is illustrated in the uploaded picture within this thread. 2. Hello, I would love to see a rule added to the patching policy where you could filter patches by date. For example, only install patches that were released before a certain date. This would allow you pick a date that you were going to role out to your different environments and make sure you were installing the same patches on all systems (Dev, Test, Prod, etc) even if patches were released during the time you were moving from dev to prod for example.

This pertains to the PSA.. I know this is a SMALL thing, but it would be great if the phone number and email address default when inputting contacts could be customizable, or default to WORK. I imagine most of the MSPs that use Pulseway service businesses, and it would save a click or two when inputting a new contact.
