General discussions about using Pulseway PSA

  1. I've been setting up contracts in the system for MSP (recurring), time & materials etc. The setup of the contract seems reasonably straight forward, but they never show up for selection in the ticket entry screen. The drop down in the ticket screen is always empty. I've reviewed the docs multiple times and can't see what I've missed. I sent a message to support, but haven't heard back from them. In the meantime, all of my ticket activity is generating lots of billable time entries that it looks like I will have to manually adjust out - it will be a pile of work. Any suggestions?

    Issue adding inventory items to a quote. - Create an inventory item, and only add Retail pricing. When you add the inventory item to a quote, the menu defaults to "Distribution" pricing. I then go to Lists in the admin menu and make Retail the default for inventory items. Well, it still defaults to Distribution price I then go back to admin lists, and make distribution NOT active. Well, when I add an inventory item to a quote now, there is nothing under the "Pricing Level" and you still have to use the drop down arrow to pick retail. BUG?

    Hi, When adding inventory, the "Expense" and "Income" account fields are only drop down, and you can not type alpha in the fields for auto fill. BUT, just about everywhere else in the PSA you can do this. BUG? Gary

    Hi Guys, Can we remove all our hardware assets? I tried to import ammended ones over the top so I didn't have to edit 200+ items individually but it just added them to the list rather than overwriting them. Cheers, Martin

  5. Hi, We use 3CX for our phone system, which integrates with a few different CRM packages. Is there any way to integrate the Pulseway PSA with 3CX phone systems? Has anyone looked at this, or tried the link? Thank you for your input. Gary

    When adding a taxable discount to an invoice the resulting tax calculation does not take the negative tax into account in the total tax calculated. How can this be remedied?

    Hi, Is there a way to close a ticket that was opened by a notification from the RMM? ie. Notification of a stopped service opens a ticket. I would like a script to start the service and then change the ticket in the PSA auto-magicaly. Is this available yet, or on the feature request list? Gary

    I'd really like to import my contacts to PPSA but don't have the option to do so. Is there a way to import via CSV?

    I don't think there's a way to do this? Please correct me if I'm wrong. Most of my quotes are as a result of tickets and usually involve equipment sales rather than actual projects so this would be REALLY nice to have.

    I have some multi-year contracts that bill annually on the anniversary of the commencement date. How can I handle this in the contracts module? I DO NOT want pro-rata billing from the beginning\end of the calendar year.

    How can I renew an expired contract? Do I just need to clone it and change the dates? Can I then hide the deactivated contract? It would be really nice if this were automated - something like a "rolling contract" type that renews automatically

    Hi From your PSA overview video I see you have the philosophy of moving away from device applications and concentrating on HTML only for the PSA platform. However, one of the advantages of, for example, a CRM app on my android phone, is that I can call up a contact and I am able to launch my sat nav application with the contacts details already filled in. I don't see a way to do this with the PSA. I'm currently undecided as to the practicalities of using psa instead of other integrated platforms, other than cost, as someone who is not always in the office and uses a phablet whilst mobile...     Hi All When trying to import from Connectwise I get the following error: Error! You are unauthorized please check your current credential details ! The Public and Private keys are definitely correct. The url I'm using https://api-eu.myconnectwise.net/v4_6_release/apis/3.0/ as my login server is https://eu.myconnectwise.com. Anyone have any ideas what's going on here?

    Hi Guys, Hopefully this will be a quick one. We used to be able to delete tickets from the PSA and it would remove the corresponding notification in the RMM, this has now stopped working for us, is it a quick fix that we can do ourselves? Cheers,

    The other day, I noticed the Outlook Sync tool under the Downloads menu and thought it would be great to be able to sync the calendar with Outlook. However, when I tried to install it, I received an error that it "cannot be installed due to a general Installer error 0x8007007E". I am running Outlook 2016 on a Windows 10 Pro system. I was basically wondering if anyone else has been able to use this tool successfully? Thanks for your assistance!

    I tried using exchange and it doesn't work. I tried using a working gmail with IMAP working and enabled, just to isolate the issue, but I can't get it to work. Support has suggested to changed the mailbox name to "inbox" but still not working. Anyone has any idea how to make this work?

    How do you restrict viewing of other client/customer data by end users when attempting to use "Security Roles" to allow them access to things such as the hardware assets and knowledge base views? We want to allow a client to view their hardware inventory (which we manage) from the portal, but they currently would be able to see data related to our other customers as well.

  22. I'm testing out the Pulseway PSA, and it seems that all tickets generated by RMM Notifications are assigned to my company vs. the correct client. Is this a bug or do I need to configure something for this to work as expected? I also don't see a way to associate tickets to a client in bulk.

  23. We have noticed that the notifications from machine through the RMM are just creating new tickets on each occasion when this is a duplicate notification, is this intended? Without the ability to merge tickets we have to manage these manually, on which note can we have a merge option please? Thanks Craig

When an opportunity has presented itself this has been raised on the system, however when we have then gone to start producing the quote, it appears that we are only able to add line items and not ad hoc items? There are many occasions that we will quote for non stock items on opportunities, can this be added? Thanks Craig

I would like to see the implementation of a "save and close" feature, whilst I appreciate it is only one click extra to save and then close, it would be really useful to have the option to click once and return to the list of work items, whether these be quotes or tickets to start working straight away on the next item.
