Hi, I just had 7 of my monitored servers go offline. Because they had no internet connection they couldn't alert me to the fact pinging had failed. Indeed the only notification I had (and a bit of luck really) was that I was running the Dashboard, which flashed a few of the machines (though nothing in red and no beeps to draw my attention). As such this seems a bit of a chink in PCMonitor's armour. A slight flaw in a brilliant system. If I'm missing something, please do let me know how I can be notified of servers that have gone offline (no net connection, perhaps even no power). If not, any chance of a fix/extra option? It would be very very helpful.…

I understand that I can get a notification if a server goes down, but I have a specific situation that I want to present to see if this will work. I have a server on a network that occasionally has issues. The issue is caused by our Internet provider and what happens is the network can reach the Internet, but no traffic comes in. Will I get notified of an issue in this case? Does PC Monitor rely fully on the data being sent from the client? Or does it attempt to connect to or ping the client from the outside ever?

  4. Hello, I have a quick question regarding offline notifications. I've seen evidence of the ability to set up notifications through the mobile app when a server goes offline for more than 15 minutes via the PC interface, However I have not been able to figure this out. Is this feature available on the free plan, or is it hidden somewhere for Pro plan and higher?

  5. You can now view asset info and installed applications for offline Windows systems showing the last known information.

does anyone know whether there is a way to get offline systems to be flagged as a critical notification for example in the notifications tab, then status the top tick box is for when a computer is offline, which that shows as red on the dashboard, but we have that many servers with pc monitor installed that we have the dashboard set up to only show critical alerts but it doesnt show the offline systems

Is Pulseway compatible with older versions of Windows (going back to 95)?

  10. On some systems I am unable to see any databases using the SQL Server module and the iOS app. I have several virtual database servers running different versions of MS SQL Server. On most I can see the list of databases. I have one installation of SQL Server 2008 that I am not able to see any databases from the iOS app. I can see agent jobs, server info and the like, it just reports none found. Here is what the app reports as server info: Product: Microsoft SQL Server Edition: Workgroup Edition Version: 10.0.4000 Platform: NT INTEL X86 OS: 5.2 (3790) I saw Marius's post about module dependencies and went and made sure I had the following installed: Microsoft SQ…

I am curious to know what you normally do to onboard a client i.e. 1. Install Pulseway on the computer 2. Create local admin account on computer 3. Push AV on computer 4. Run hardware/software inventory 5. Install specific applications 6. etc...

Hello, Is there a way to MANUALLY open a ticket from within the RMM? Since Pulseway doesn't offer "round trip ticketing" where a ticket can be automatically opened and closed by the RMM (if a ticket is opened automatically, then resolved from within the RMM the ticket is automatically closed) we are trying to reduce the "signal to noise ratio" by only having critical issues automatically open tickets in the PSA. However, since we do our billing from the PSA, I would like to have our techs be able to open a ticket by clicking a button on a device or alert in the RMM so a ticket is opened in the PSA with the pertinent information auto-filled and a timer started.…

I use the free version on 3 PCs. I've recently upgraded the operating system on one of my PCs. I now receive the message "Your account has 4 registered computers and the computer limit is 3. While . . . " However, only 3 computers are registered, only 3 computers appear in my user interface. Solution?

  15. Hey guys, i'm having an issue or 2 with a laptop i'm administrating in a Nursing home its a Lenovo ThinkPad X131e (3369) I3 4GB and 500GB hdd (80%free) Webcam: The webcam will only take one shot and then will stop responding to commands, on the PC client it will work fine the 1st shot after a reboot. I am monitoring several computers and I was editing some notifications and also changed the group name and now when I try to access the computers from the dash board to edit computer settings it rejects my password. Even on local computer, after clicking on "click here to allow changes" it rejects my password. I am pretty sure I did not change it. What am I doing wrong? Thank you.

Just got a computer in that had not chimed in in over 109 days. Then noticed the user had uninstall PC Monitor. Is there a way for me to password protect the uninstaller? Another question. If a computer is not on the internet and they install or uninstall software will I get the notifications once the computer comes online? Is there a way to have the webcam take an image when a pease of software is installed or uninstalled. We have field computers that are used by many differnt users finding out what user keeps installing software is becoming a problem.

Hello, I've reinstalled the software on a rebuilt PC and its been a while since I last used it. My account was recognized and validated but to make changes I need to log in. However, the password is not what I thought and I tried a reset but no emails have come through to my Gmail. Its not trapped in spam either. Should I just start a new account or is there something I am missing?

Hello I am currently trialing Pulseway and working on the patching module. Policies seem to work well enough but how exactly do I see all of the patch requirements of the endpoints? Also is there a way I can tell multiple devices to install a specific patch in bulk? Thanks Larnel

Hi. We now have various systems running the upgrade to Windows 11. Despite the global rule 21H2 --> Don´t Install Can someone please send (urgently) clear, complete instructions what to do, how? Group policy is out of the question as some devices are running as workstations. I hope someone from the tech team will take care of this entry. And no, users did not click "Update".

  22. I have an issue logged with Pulseway support and we worked on it for about an hour or so with no resolve. Basically you run the Policy and Patch folder is not created... nor do any applications install or update, as well as Windows Updates. Anyone else having this issue? As a work around to re-install a corrupt application or new, I used the mobile app, %computername%, patch management and then click Install Applications. Not the best of solutions but for now a work around if you are having issues also.

  23. We had a user who somehow got upgraded to Windows 11 over the weekend. She swears she didn't click on the update to 11 icon in the taskbar. In Pulseway, our patch policy she is assigned is set to install all updates including Optional. When I look on my Win10 laptop under Windows Updates > Optional, Win 11 is in the list. Does this mean users will get upgraded? If so, everyone needs to be aware. Pulseway, anything in the works to block this? I'm not afraid of 11, I just want to roll it out in a more managed way esp since we have to upgrade SSLVPN client after upgrade to 11.

  24. Will activating a device in Patch Management override the default behavior on the target machine? IE, if the client is set to receive all updates automatically and the policy is set to only check once a week will it stop the updates defined in the client without manual intervention? I assume that's the purpose but just want to be clear. What if updates are configured by GPO? Will it still override? Thanks

  25. Hi This morning all of my servers went through patching critical updates - the policy says install critical updates and reboot if necessary. When I checked the policy listed "updates marked important, no updates installed" but the machines all rebooted? - That seems weird to me as I would not expect and also do not want a reboot if no updates are installed. Is that a normal behavior?
