I have a VM agent that failed, I've tried to reinstall, but I get the 'Error 1001. The specified service already exists'. The program doesn't show up in windows programs to remove. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi all. We are deploying the preconfigured Pulseway v9.x agent with Intune (MSI file), and that works well. However, whenever we do an Intune "Fresh start" on a client that has the Pulseway agent installed and working, we get a duplicate entry for the client in the web app. I assume it's because technically the agent gets reinstalled by Intune and in the process gets a new value in HKLM\Software\MMSOFT Design\PC Monitor\ClientIdentifier. Now, because the new and the old install is indistinguishable from each other in the web app, it's almost impossible to know what entry should be removed and what entry should stay. Is there a way to identify these obsolete…

Hello everyone im trying out Pulseway right now but i wanted to give you a nice idea how you can push software to clients in an easy way. You could use chocolatey and then just open a powershell session and type for example choco upgrade all -y to upgrade all applications installed to latest version. You can type choco install 7zip -y to install 7-zip. and so on. You can read more at chocolatey website. You can also set up your own repo for software and updates. Im using proget to host my internal choco server. Just my two cents

Hi, So I am currently trialing Pulseway and looking for a bit of help. What I am trying to do is the following: Have an automated way of installing Pulseway for Domain and non-domain joined devices and it go into the correct reporting groups etc For Domain joined, I understand I can install through GPO and then import configuration For non-Domain joined, I obviously will need to double click the msi file manually, but what I would like to do is have a way of importing the configuration automatically also. Is there no way of having custom msi files per customer? For instance, If I Built 10 different MSI files for 10 different customers and…

Hi Is it possible to install the Pulseway manager without installing the agent. Would like to use the Manager on a laptop that doesn't need to be monitored, allowing me to change the config of agents on remote PCs.

I am installing the pulseway program on a Windows 11 24H2 laptop and when the installation is finished I open the program and the service does not start, I have already restored the computer twice, I installed it again, everything is up to date but the service does not start to register it, and I was looking for some log in the installation folders but I did not find any, could there be a problem because in past installations I installed the program without problem and now it is happening to me today. I tried to start the service manually but it doesn't work. It displays the message "The pulseway service on local computer started and then stopped." Some services are st…

Hi all, During the 5.4.4 update, I have seen a few systems that have not restarted the Pulseway service. I thought the systems were offline, but it was only the Pulseway service not running. Has anyone else seen this?

Hi I'm experiencing a problem after installation of the agent on some Windows Server 2008 R2 servers. After installation and configuration of the agent, when the service starts, it'll begin hogging all available resources on the CPU until the service/process i restarted. After this, the agent appears to run normally for at time, but then after an couple of hours it'll begin to use all available CPU again. The agent is configured to monitor processor, RAM and storage (General health), and then we have 2 performance counters for more advanced processor and RAM monitoring I also installed the same agent, with the same configuration on an Windows Server 2003 …

I'm new to Pulseway and need to deploy it to a number of customer servers, hand-configuring each one is going to take quite a bit of time, and the group policies section does not provide configuration of server modules. Can I customize pulseway.pcmcfg and use it as a new installation template? Am I able to trim down the config file to only the items I need to change/configure?

Hi There We updated our Thawte certificate and applied the update to our dedicated pulseway server. We have a 2008 server that goes offline when applying the new cert, when we switch back to the old cert the server comes back online. We have an environment with over 70 Servers and this Windows 2008 enterprise server is the only one that gives us the following error when validating its credentials. Please advise what steps to follow? We have checked time and date settings, ensured machine is up to date. All the best, Thomas

Hi there, I'm currently evaluating Pulseway and one of the important features for our use case is to see the Command line of individual processes. (eg if you run Task Manager and right click the columns, 'Command line' is an option there.) This is due to one of the applications that we run spinning up multiple instances - the command line helps us differentiate which instance is running what as they are started with different parameters. Is there any way of achieving this? I did a quick search but it doesn't seem like this topic has come up previously that I can see. Thanks in advance! Dan

Hi all I'm new to Pulseway and I was wondering what the fastest way to do a quick install is, other than mass deployment (which requires a server). More and more clients are opting for Office 365 without an on-prem server. For these clients, is it possible for me to roll a custom agent install, or at least save a configuration file which can be loaded with a command line switch or something, so that installation on a bunch of serverless workstations can be accomplished without a lot of clicky clicky through the setup GUI?

I am currently testing PC Monitor on a workstation. When I do a proper Start=> shutdown, I get an email (shutting down). When I get back into Windows, I get an email (up and running). When I pull the plug on the workstation (simulating a sudden stop), I don't get an email telling me it is offline. Is it possible for PC Monitor to send out an email for abrupt shutdowns? I've seen other simliar PC monitoring programs linking two workstations together allowing for systems to monitor each other and send out notifications if a system suddenly shutsdown. Thanks.

Hi all, I recently did a clean upgrade to Windows 10 on 2 WKSTs previously running Windows 7 with Pulseway installed. I am now at a loss as to how to re-add these units to my Pulseway instance. I see they are still showing up in the “Deployment Successful” tab under “Discovery & Deployment”. Is there a way to re-add these units without manually installing the Pulseway app on these WKSTs?

Error states: You have a policy for this group that doesn't allow the system addon command to be executed. Where would I look to change this policy? I have looked under configuration - orginizations and found the correct group. Where am I to find the setting to change under the policies located here?

Hi all, I'm trialling pulseway on the Free plan - I only have 2 machines I want to manage, but remote desktop is the killer feature for me replacing LogMeIn. I know I need a paid plan for remote desktop, but in the case of 2 machines, do I simply add another workstation (to give me 3, which will be fine) which moves me to a paid sub under the "Pro" plan? On the website, there's Free/Starter/Team plans, but no mention of "Pro". Is that the same as the starter feature set? Cheers, S.

Hoping I can get some insight here, or may just submit an official support request. Someone in our org who is in a Help Desk position needs to get Pulseway Remote Control installed on their machine so they can connect to end user workstations for troubleshooting. I've installed this many times but for some reason this time it's complaining about the appdata folder being redirected. In specific we are seeing a can't access error on a path \\servername\users\username\appdata\\pulseway remote control I am wondering if that double backslash is the issue here. We have plenty of other things installed and require app data access and they al…

A fresh install of the Pulseway Remote Desktop Client on a brand-new Windows 11 laptop gives me this error: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel. The first time I installed this app, I had no issues, but after a few months, this message started appearing. I was able to fix it after messing with certificates and uninstalling/reinstalling a few times with Revo. Are we not at the point where installing this app will take care of installing all necessary certificates, configs, etc? What is the best way to resolve this error?
