Notifications

Email notifications are disabled by default in Pulseway. To enable them start Pulseway app on your computer and click the "Change Account Details" button on the Account tab. You will then be able to enable email notifications in the Account Details dialog.

This is something that can be easily done and would benefit us greatly when tracking assets and warranties. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/558124

Hello, I was wondering if it is possible to get a notification if a file exceeds a certain file size. In my case I want to get an alert when a file or a folder exceeds 5 GB. Is that possible? I only found an option to either monitor the whole harddisk or get an alert when a file changes in size

Been using Pulseway since it was PC-Monitor, for at least 3 years now. I noticed earlier this year (maybe about the time it was change to Pulseway) that notifications about my WINDOWS machine changed from being SMS alerts to my phone, to emails. I made no changes at all (in fact I haven't touched it since it was installed. It really is that good). I assumed this was a policy decision at Pulseway towers, and forgot about it. Can I set it up so that it notify me when print queue is > 1 for any length of time? Basically, I want to be notified if my printer is being used and not necessarily limited to duration of # of print jobs. Thanks in advance!

Hello! I am using Office 365 as my email solution and I am not able to receive your email notifications since yesterday (23.09.2012). Your emails were marked as SPAM and since today all email notifications are lost. It is even not possible to receive your validation email. Is this an isolated problem of mine or does anyone else see this? MJR

How does the S.M.A.R.T disk notification work? I have over 200 desktops with this checked to send me a notification if triggered. I have had multiple hard drives go bad without one notification. I have even installed Acronis hard drive monitor on a drive and it comes back with errors, but still nothing from Pulseway.

So the issue I'm having is with the mobile app on Android. I can log into the app and see notifications there, but I don't receive any notice through normal Android notifications. On the web client, I can see the device listed under Monitoring Devices with Push Notifications - No, but I cannot find where to enable this in the settings of the web app or mobile app!

Is it possible to become an email notifications if the monitored pc is offline (like Bluescreen)

I would like to be notified when a network device logs onto my wifi network. I can assign these devices static IPs based on MAC addresses. I know I can check to see if they are off of my network by pinging their IPs. However what I try to detect is the opposite. Any clue? These devices are my WDTV media players, android phones, and my TVs.

Been searching everywhere trying to figure out how the email notification feature works in PC monitor but I'm getting nothing. There are alot of info on how to set it up but no info how the actual email engine works? The reason I ask is because we've recently migrated our email server. I originally thought that PC monitor emails the mail server based on the MX record it gets when it polls the domain name of the email address that we specify (e.g. notification@domain.com) from the DNS server so we've update or internal MX record to point to the new exchange server and configured it as a whitelist on our receive connector but we are still not getting any email alerts. I am getting a Notification for low disk space from one server, where I have removed all configured Storage Notifications. This is on a Windows Server (2012 R2) I had two storage notifications set up. One for C: drive and one for E: drive. The E: drive one was set for notifying when storage dropped below 25%. I wanted to change that to "less than 10GB" so made that config change. However, I kept getting the Notification for "below 25%". I have now removed all Storage Notifications, and I'm still getting the "below 25%" notification. Is there a further 'clean out' that I can do to stop this 'phantom' notification? Cheers, Geoff.

Hello forum, Lately I encountered a machine that couldn't monitor CPU-temp. There were just no devices in the hardware list when I tried to set the notification. The machine in question is an HP ProLiant DL380 G4 and the OS is installed directly on the machine, not using Hyper-V or similar software that could mess up these kind of sensors. Hi, We have just installed the software and have been looking at the Event Log Notification feature. We want to be able to send a notification if a backup routine is successful. Looking through the event log i can filter by the Event Source, but there are around 10-15 events fired per backup routine with the same Keyword & Event ID. The unique identifying log is by a value within EventData, as we only want to be notified if the backup fails. Is there anyway of adding to the filter to look at the contents of EventData. Hi, We are monitoring around 15 servers using pulseway. But I want to configure different email ids for sending the notifications.( not the main emailid which is registered with pulseway). 10 servers notifications to 1 email id & remaining 5 servers to a different emailid.Is it possible to configure in this way ? Hello, I would like to get PC Monitor to notify me for any new Error events added to the Windows Application event log. If I try to leave the textboxes for Keywords, Event Ids, and Sources empty I get an Error message: "No keywords, event ID's or sources specified." Is there a wild card character I can use? I tried entering an asterisk(*) in the keywords textbox but it does not appear to be working. Thanks Chuck

I have this feature set to trigger a notification upon > 90% CPU load for 2 minutes... however, the list of running processes that are returned with this notification are always very low CPU usage (< 5%). This suggests that either the Pulseway agent is not monitoring ALL running processes or it is not measuring CPU load correctly...?

My Kamailio has gone down twice in the last two weeks and i have not been getting notifications through Pulseway. Above is the Kamailio service in a running state and below is my configuration set up, for that service to be monitored. Any guidance in fixing this problem would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Marius, I'm loving this software day by day. The only thing that I find difficult is that when I need to change something in the configuration I need to operate on the PC client. I'd love to have a control panel on the mobile to help me modify my configurations. For example to add or modify notifications for events. Thanks Daniele
