Zendesk is moving away from API Tokens to OAuth and support has confirmed to me that this means api tokens and username/password based zendesk integrations will no longer work. Curious to know how Pulseway is handling that.

System registered Notification

Hi,

I want to turn off the System registered notification.

I have unchecked Send an email notification when new devices are added to the account

In Admin > Configuration > Settings > General

The notifications still come through.

Are they enabled anywhere else?

I would like a notification when a new system is added. Why? This will then create a Ticket in PSA allowing me to add the asset to the correct account

Since about 2 month our notifications if a server gets restarted reports shutdown but no (green) online status again.

Veeam backup monitoring through WIndows Event logs

Hi,

My objective is to monitor Veeam backup and agent jobs in the most efficient way.

Since there's no feature to monitor Veeam backup, the only way I know is to make use of Windows Event logs. When I tried to setup a new policy I found out that Pulseway web app only allows you to monitor "Application, Security and System" event logs. Problem is Veeam event logs are stored in a separate section under Windows event logs (Application & Services logs -> Veeam Backup). So according to my understanding this wouldn't work for Veeam.

The other possible way of doing this is to configure to monitor Veeam backup event logs from the Pulseway Manger in a server. Though this would work, implementing this is a repetitive task when there are many servers to be managed. A policy compared to this looks way less time consuming and more easier to manage.

What I want to know is there a more efficient way of getting this done other than configuring pulseway manager to monitor Veeam event logs in each server?

Pulseway manager not recognizing USB backup drive attached

Using USB external hard drive as backup devices and each drive can be recognized if manually added to the notifications/storage screen but I need to know if there is a way to set this to be automatic when the drive is replaced either daily or weekly. Also, where would this be set globally for are servers being monitored. Currently have 8.6.8.

Hi Pulseway

I am trying to enable 2FA on an account. When i try to add the device as a trusted device, the device is gryed out and says: Two factor authentication requires push notifications which are not enabled on this device. App permissions are all allowed and notifications for the app is allowed. I have tried to uninstall the app and delete the device from the web-app and reinstall the app again. I cannot get the Samsung Galaxy A10 to be validated as a push-enabled phone.

What can i do?

"Antivirus real-time protection is disabled"

I noticed that rebooting a client (whether via Pulseway or locally) always triggers the "Antivirus real-time protection is disabled" notification.

My guess is that Kaspersky needs a while to startup, long enough to trigger "AV disabled" condition.

Systems: Win 10 Pro, AV: Pulseway Kasperksy

Is there a way to avoid these false alarms?

How long is the notifications history kept for?

We recently started using notifications for the (+-50) systems we monitor. I was wondering how long the history will be kept for.
We have a more atypical setup as the systems aren't servers but video editing workstations which come online/offline quite often, so the amount of notifications will grow quite rapidly.

CPU Usage Notification Feature

I have this feature set to trigger a notification upon > 90% CPU load for 2 minutes... however, the list of running processes that are returned with this notification are always very low CPU usage (< 5%).

This suggests that either the Pulseway agent is not monitoring ALL running processes or it is not measuring CPU load correctly...?

Notifications from only certain servers

Is it possible to setup Pulseway to only send out alerts for a particular user for particular servers? We have a SQL admin who only wants to receive alerts from his SQL servers which we have Pulseway installed on, and not alerts from the entire list of servers we have it installed on. I already have his access restricted down to just the SQL servers and I thought that would include alerts, but he's still getting them for all of our servers in the organization.

Would anyone have list of the available notification types? Here are a few I'm hoping exists.

Alert when someone signs in/logs into a machine.
Alert when someone signs out.
Alert wen machine is powered on.
Alert when password is changed.
Alert when someone uses the machine unexpectedly (without consent, such as remote users).

Please let me know if these are supported.

Monitoring log files for date change

I have created a Windows cmd file to copy files nightly on one of my servers. If there is an error, the cmd file outputs the error to an error.txt file, thus updated the "Last Write" date on the file. My command file is working great, and outputs the errors to the error.txt, and the date stamp on the error.txt file is updated each time this happens.

I configured the Pulseway Computer Settings via Notifications -> Storage -> Files. I added the error.txt and checked for notifications to be sent when the file last write date has changed. (see image)

This works the first time, but the second, no notification is sent. Am I doing something wrong? Any pointers on how I can make this work consistently?

We are monitoring around 15 servers using pulseway. But I want to configure different email ids for sending the notifications.( not the main emailid which is registered with pulseway).

10 servers notifications to 1 email id & remaining 5 servers to a different emailid.Is it possible to configure in this way ?

I have over 200 desktops with this checked to send me a notification if triggered. I have had multiple hard drives go bad without one notification. I have even installed Acronis hard drive monitor on a drive and it comes back with errors, but still nothing from Pulseway.
