When attempting to use the Remote Desktop Client to connect to a Windows 2003 Server I receive the message: "The screen cannot be captured at the moment. This could be due to fast user switching or a minimized/disconnected remote desktop session". I've seen this error documented on other forums for TeamViewer and the vendor says the latest version resolves it. There is also a workaround documented here: http://ram.kossboss.com/teamviewer-error-screen-captured-moment-due-fast-user-switching/ , but I can't implement it because I can't find the service by the TeamViewer name or access a stand alone installer of the RDC. I'm hoping Pulseway techs monitor this forum since I…

Hi there, I wanted to change the agent on a machine so it did push alerts only and no emails. When I went into "account details" I unchecked the "email" checkbox and tried to hit "save" but it said my email address is invalid....this is because the TLD for my email address is .CONSULTING ....I am assuming that the agent validates the email address based on the TLD, and .CONSULTING isn't on the list. Can someone look at this please? Thanks in advance!

Hello, I have found that running chocolatey install or uninstall commands via Powershell through the webapp results in the client showing "offline" in Pulseway. I have experienced this with Windows 7 Professional and Windows 10 Enterprise. After checking the system I dont see any errors in the Application or systems logs and the Pulseway service is still running. I used a command like this "choco install skype -y" which should just install the skype package from the chocolatey repository. After restarting the pulseway service on the client it appears online again, but for me this is quite a problem since I update third party packages via remote powershell and chocola…

Since my client agent version update to 4.8.4 I have not been able to view Windows Updates in different apps. I have Android and Windows for the monitoring and I've even tried the web application. I have mixed environments with Windows 7, 8 and 10 and the issue exists for them all. It may not be version 4.8.4 that is the issue. Could be a Windows Update that caused the issue. I keep most of my systems completely up to date including all optional updates. Any help will be appreciated.

Hello, When trying to install the Pulseway manager 4.8.2 today on a number of PC's and received the following error: The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message. .... (see attached screen shot for reset of the message). I'm new to Pulseway, having just installed an Enterprise Server instance (version 4.8) so am unsure whether this is a bug, or a deployment or newbie issue. I only just noticed that the agent version on your website is 4.8.2 and I'm assuming that our server is 4.8, given that I can still install the 4.8 agent without error. So with this error occurring using 4.8.2, do I need to upgrade the server, or is this minor version incom…

I sometimes work behind an auth proxy. Sometimes I forget to select the proxy option in Remote Desktop before I attempt to log in. Next time I try and log in, after setting the proxy settings, it never logs in. I start task manager and kill the pulseway processes, but it makes no difference. The error is the 407 proxy requires authentication error. Curiously, if I start the Dashboard, it works fine.

I just started installing Pulseway on a handful of servers on Friday and when my backup solution (Altaro HyperV) ran I received an identical error from all the servers that had Pulseway installed. All other servers backed up normally. A second attempt at a backup on one of these servers resulted in the same error. I am running PulseWay on my Mac laptop, running 10.10. Agent version 4.7.6. This doesn't happen all the time, but when it does it won't stop until I reboot the machine. About once a week, and I haven't figured out why yet, PulseWay's Helper crashes. When it does, launchd attempts to restart it. I then crashes less than a second later, and this goes on forever until I reboot. I've tried using launchctl to unload then reload the Daemon, but that is ineffective. The only thing that returns the system to normal is a full reboot. There is also a heavy load on system resources when this happens, as the crash reporter loads for every crash and slogs down the system. I'd re…

Hi, with Remote Desktop version 4.7.6 I noticed some bugs: When Remote Desktop is opened for some time, the Num Lock on my local keyboard gets set to whatever is set on remote machine and cannot be changed as long as Remote window is opened. Also typing into local programs is not possible if remote window is frozen (which seem to happen after leaving remote window active for few hours). Closing Remote window helps.ALT+TAB does not work in remote window, neither inside it, nor out of it (I expect it would switch windows either inside remote session, or to switch off of remote window, but nothing happens)And to wishlist: Copy-Paste file transfer to/from remote computerand ma…

We are trying to set up SSL certificate monitoring, and it's working fine for our standard certificates, e.g. test.company.com and prod.company.com. When viewing the certificates in the app we get the number of days left before expiration. So far so good. However, as soon as we add our wildcard certificate, *.company.com, to the configuration, the "Certificates" page for the server in the app just shows "Loading monitored certificates...", eventually yielding "Data not available." As soon as the wildcard certificate is removed from the config, we can view the others just fine.

Pulseway's sensor monitoring feature may cause VSS locks during notifications checks and may interfere with VSS backups. To prevent VSS locks you can disable hard disk sensor monitoring from Pulseway Manager -> System. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support

Dear Professional: Pulseway Version 4.75 (build 5) On one machine, Pulseway PCMonitorSrv.exe runs 40 to 50% CPU usage for maybe 80% of the time in a kind of cyclic fashion ... not always at 50%, sometimes at 5%. One single machine exhibits this behavior for about 5 or 6 months now. The machine (and others) have been running PCMonitor/Pulseway successfully since the beginning. Several machines (clients & servers) have run fine for years. Ordinarily, I would kill process tree and move on in the hope that the bug or issue would be corrected in a release wave. So, by now I come to the conclusion that I have a mis-configuration or some other issue I need to fix on my…

Had 3 Win servers crash last night and on reboot they came up Windows Repair! Yikes. Server 2012 R2 Server 2008 R2 Noting that a 2008 R2 standard server is incorrectly identified as Windows 7 In the Pulseway monitor. as a matter of fact I have at least 3 servers that say window7 when they are 2008 R2 Standard!! these servers were setup in veeam as APPLICATION AWARE backups. We reboot few times and no luck with veeam backup. After disabling PULSEWAY client veeam worked fine and no crashes since then. Can you advise. Thanks Clark
