Windows installation and configuration

  1. A fresh install of the Pulseway Remote Desktop Client on a brand-new Windows 11 laptop gives me this error: The request was aborted: Could not create SSL/TLS secure channel. The first time I installed this app, I had no issues, but after a few months, this message started appearing. I was able to fix it after messing with certificates and uninstalling/reinstalling a few times with Revo. Are we not at the point where installing this app will take care of installing all necessary certificates, configs, etc? What is the best way to resolve this error?

    I am looking to control a PC remotely, so I installed this one. I normally use Google desktop that works fine, but I want to more to a more robust solution. My first test to see if the FREE version works before I go in and pay. I have it all installed and I can connect to the PC remotely, but it is an image and I can't control anything. Is this the way this software is supposed to work? I want to control the desktop.

    Today i installed Pulseway on a new server, but noticed the checkbox/option for Remote Desktop was missing (on the System>General tab). I then logged onto a previous system Pulseway was installed on and noticed that the checkbox/option has dissapeared from that system too. Has the remote desktop option been moved, or is their a way to manually install it?

    Hi All, I have a handful of computers and I only have remote access to them. Is there a way to import/push a config to a site without having to "log on/load the app/import config"? I can edit the config settings remotely but cannot import remotely. Can this be done? Thanks Tony

Hi all, We have an on premise server and since the start of this we've had the probe which is sat at our head office scan the networks over site to site VPN's and it has picked up all the equipment however when we went to enroll devices on the remote subnets they all appear as offline even though we can ping them FROM the Pulseway on prem server itself ? We've now gone and installed a PC at one of the remote sites, applied it as a probe and done a scan and even with the probe being on the same network and subnet they STILL show as offline? If i look at all the devices that i can enroll they ALL show as offline even though it clearly can see them online as it's s…

    I had a customers computer stolen from me. I didn't have Pulseway Installed. However, I did have CCleaner Cloud installed. CCleaner Cloud allows remote install of .MSI. I made a custom .MSI file with the help of the support team. It has all my creds and server info and doesn't install the icons. This is perfect. My only problem, and this is testing on a local machine before full perfection, is that the "PC Monitor" service doesn't automatically start after install. So how do I gain control. Is there something in the MSI i can edit to auto start the service? If I can, I can view the webcam and help police identify the user who stole my laptop. Please help!! …

    When I set up my machines to be monitored I used remote scripts to do the following: wget https://xyz.com/files/windows_agent_x64.msi -Outfile c:\ff\windows_agent_x64.msi msiexec /i windows_agent_x64.msi /quiet Now, the problem is that these machines are NOT picking up the info required from the Pulseway policy so not all of the desired information is showing in the webapp for each machine.     Hi. I've been trying to remove an agent from my account because my client replaced their PC. I have removed it from the Configuration section in the Web App and tried from the Dashboard but when my client switched their old PC back on the agent then registers itself and I get the warning email that I have too many Systems on my account. Apart from trying when the PC is switched on, is there a way to remove from my account? Regards, Andy

  12. I am trying to remove the service from a service that did not install properly. I tried using the sc.exe delete pulseway command and receive a message that the service does not exist. There is no Pulseway icon in the systray.

    I removed a system from our list of systems in the configuration tree. I reinstalled Pulseway on the pc (system) and registered it again but it does not appear as a system in the configuration list How can restore a system that has been deleted in configuration?

  14. Hi I had MPM installed on a Windows PC that had its harddrive wiped. I have a backup of the files that were on it. I never did export my settings while everything still worked. Which files do I need in order to get my previous settings back in a new installation of MPM on the same computer? Or how do I get my settings back?

    Ok, So I am trying to schedule Windows updates for some of our clients using the web app. However the only option it gives me is to install them immediately (At least to my understanding.) Is there any feature that lets me schedule them during a down time such as late at night.

    hi. i have a subscription account. I activate the screen view in all my servers but dont work. i activate the feature, restart the server but i have only this message in the ipad app when i try to see the screen: "Screen Error" "Screen not available" and a dismiss button. I make something wrong ? The session i try to see is a Administrator user in Remote Desktop session console or admin

    Most of my servers are headless and are accessed via RDP, i can only use screen view if someone is logged into the physical console. is there a way to wake up the console

    Hi all, Really liking this a lot! Definitely something I'm going to put forward at work (60/70+ servers). Obviously need a subscription to do screen view and probably going to get one for my home so I can test properly but in the mean time... so I can really sell it at work has anyone or can anyone point me in the right direction to set up and screenshots of screen view? As this would be a prime feature for what we're after! Also, like logmein is there the possibility to swap screens? We'll probably consider putting this app on a few PC's, most of which are dual/triple screens? Thanks, Ollie

    Im after creating a batch file which will automatically: - Remove any previous version of Pulseway / Mobile PC Monitor - Install Pulseway - Import our CFG file - Start the Pulseway service. We dont use GPO. I just need a batch file etc. This is how far i have got but doesn't seem to work. Any ideas people? net stop "PC Monitor" sc delete "PC Monitor" msiexec.exe /uninstall c:\windows\system32\Pulseway_x64.msi /qn c:\windows\system32\Pulseway_x64.msi /qn config=c:\windows\system32\Pulseway.pcmcfg configpassword=XXXXXXX

    Hey Forum, We have a lot of notification pairs that are hardly relevant because they are pairs. E.g.: a ping doesn't respond for ten minutes and than it comes back again. Personally I don't mind these because it gives me a better understanding of what's going on in my networks, but my employer heard from the reseller that a simple script can delete the notifications when a pair forms. I do have to admit that it would be nice if rebooting a server wouldn't make such a mess of these notifications. I was told to look into implementing it, but I can't quite find it. Does anybody have any suggestions? Is this even a real thing? - Jaapyse

  24. Hi, I'm looking how I can manage the notifications from within the PulseWay WebApp and specifically where I can manage the notifications definitions as found on the agents. I would like to reduce for example the notifications send in case of available update and only would like a notification in case of critical update as defined in the example hereunder. But I can't seem to find the same configuration parameters in the WebApp. I tried to configure it via the Patch Management policies but we still get notifications for important updates. Any help would be appreciated :)
