Pulseway supports Wake on LAN and Wake on WAN over Internet. The mobile application will send a magic packet in LAN while on WiFi. As well, our cloud servers will send the same magic packet to the public IP address on UDP 9 (you can change the port number and assign a different port number for each computer using the Pulseway app installed on your PC, go to System->Wake on WAN over Internet, default is 9). Please make sure that the router forwards those packets in the LAN and that the PC supports Wake on LAN (check BIOS and network interface settings). The only limitation at the moment using Wake on WAN over Internet occurs when our cloud servers have the last p…

  3. Pulseway allows you to restrict access for Dashboard and Web Application by IP Address so only designated IPs will be able to connect. To add a restriction start Pulseway on a monitored PC and click "Change Account Details". On the account detail you can add IP addresses that are allowed to access either Dashboard or Web App or both.

  6. Good Day, I note that running a report for "Installed Applications" (Reporting -> Templates -> Applications) that the data seems to be outdated. If I confirm the list of applications via the Systems -> All Systems -> "Computer" -> Applications, I see an updated list. I assume there is some "data buffer" which is used by the report which is not updated immediately? Is there not a way, that I can instruct Pulseway to re-evaluate all systems data (Applications in my case) for a specific report run - taking into account that the report will then take some time to run which would be fine? Kind regards, Peter

Hi, I'm currently setting up a custom SQL notification query and I'm running in to issues: I am able to test my connection under the "Server Modules > SQL Server" tab, with a user that was created on the SQL Server I am also able to run my query when I press "Executy query". Yet, as soon as this query in ran in the background, I get an error: "SQL Filter MyFilterName has failed to execute in SQL Server on the computer ‘MyComputerName’ in group 'Default'Error Message: The server principal "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" is not able to access the database "myDbName" under the current security context. " It seems like Pulseway insist on using…

  8. Hello, I apologize if this is a newbie question and is answered somewhere else. I tried various searches on the forum and didn't find the answer. Is there a way to change the default (60 seconds) that the system waits for the user to confirm before starting a remote desktop session? I found the setting where it can be turned off/on, but have not been able to find a number of seconds to wait. Thank you! Rob

Hi, I am new to PC Monitor, but it look to me that it is only possible to add management of one SQL Server instance pr. computer. Is that right? And if so ... is support for multiple instances on the list of upcoming futures? It would be very nice, because we have several servers with multiple SQL instances. Best Regards, Martin Stevnhoved Abakion A/S.

Can anyone find the new in 8.5 feature "Network Monitoring" or know how to add a device?

  15. Its very frustrating if you want to add newly added apps to the Third Party patch management section that you need to check what apps you already have in the list; See screenshot. It would be better to remove items from the dropdown list if they already are in a rule. I understand that you will be able to have multiple rules (1 for install and 1 for update) But you would be able to make a Checkbox or some other solution to get this done. Or put a Checkbox in the dropdown list or whatever to quickly see what is already added to a rule. That way its easier to keep the list up to date since you are adding apps all the time.

Hi There all, Is there any way to create an policy for multiple endpoint to notify on any started services? On our schools kids play illegal games and we want to terminate these games when they start them, through pulseway workflows. Herefor we need to see if the service of the game is active. On the computer end we can setup service monitoring but we cannot do this global somehow. Hope someone has an smart idea about this

Good afternoon, We have installed quite a few synologies at customers for which I would like to monitor the free space. I tried with SNMP but I am not completely satisfied with it and the notification from SNMP was not made for this. Is there another way to monitor this? SMB share, mapped drives, ..? Thanks in advance! With polite regards, Chris

Hello, I first noticed this problem after performing a new install of agent 4.8.3 on an SBS 2011 server. I thought it was related to just this Server (which has been rebooted since install and the firewall is disabled), but found that this error occurs with a number of Windows 7 hosts as well. I can't immediately establish the reason why some hosts connect and others don't. I've not encountered this error before so am unsure where to start with troubleshooting. Appreciate any assistance.

  19. We use GFI MailEssentials for our anti-spam system, and we're having problems with the internal queues growing to a point where the system stops working. Does anyone know of a way to monitor the size of specific queues within Windows Message Queueing and of course notify at a given level. Please, no replies about our choice of anti-spam system...!

Hey Forum, Due to security issues our company has recently decided to close all Windows RDP ports and switch to using the Pulseway remote desktop feature, as we were already using Pulseway on (almost) all of our customers' systems. However, these connections seem extremely slow and laggy, even when we had a good connection using Windows RDP. Is this a known problem that we can fix? Is there maybe a workaround? I'm looking forward to your response, - Jaapyse

Hey forum, We're experiencing some trouble using the HTTP-GET feature. Our old monitoring system (Nagios) is able to monitor the availability of web sites, more specifically login pages for access points, perfectly well. However, when using Pulseway it gives a notification when it reaches the AP because it has HTTP basic authentication. This is not a problem, if we get that response we know that it is reachable. This should not be seen as a problem and should not give a notification? Could you fix this? Is there a workaround at the moment? - Jaapyse
