  1. Started by longyklee,

Due to ads on Linus Tech Tips, I wanted to try out Pulseway. I currently run a Synology NAS at my house, but unfortunately I cannot find any version of Pulseway dedicated to Synology NASes. I would like to ask if there is a workaround (maybe a .pat file) or if Pulseway is officially implementing this feature soon. Thank you!

Computer dies at an office and I want to check warranty status, presently when I pull up the system in Pulseway I find it of line, when I open it I see its cmputer name and last known IP, no info on the computer such as serial number, vendor ect... that info was there when it was alive but gone when its dead or down. As the serial number is not going to be changing anytime soon lol or ever. if we could have data that retained on a dead system such as: Serial number mfg name hdd size ram processor This way when the system dies, I can say to the customer, it was 7 years old and its time was over it had 20gb of ram and a larger processor…

  3. Hi there! I think the workflows introduced in Pulseway 8.0 are powerful but not necessarily intuitive and easy to use.. My main concern is that you are only able to have one instance of a certain trigger enabled at once. For example "Service Stopped". I get the idea that you want to collect everything in one schematic, but it becomes problematic because you can't create branches directly under the trigger. Instead you have to add something like a condition first, and then create branches depending on the outcome, and then add multiple scenarios depending on what needs to be accomplished. In my case, I'd like to create a workflow where Service X is…

  4. Hello, I would like to see the ability to run dual screens viewable at the same time on the remote control. That way customers who need to run dual screens and have to work from home arent stuck playing swap between screens. I think either opening a second connection to the computer with one of the separate screen would be fine, but maybe there is a better way like how Remote Desktop works or Google Chrome Remote Desktop works.

  5. Started by itshero,

Hello, I'd like the ability to change monitors for the screen view option on pulseway. This will help me gauge if a user is actually working at their computer. Thanks!

  6. Hi. If it is possible I would like to exclude full automation scripts from the diagnostics log "trace.log". In normal situations it is fine with just an indication of the execution with the script name. I guess you could add one more checkbox like "Include full Automation Scripts" in settings, and let it be disabled as default. Best Regards, Martin.

  7. Hello All, I think that it would be extremely helpful to include information regarding the age of the computer, and more warranty information in app without having to purchases a third party integration such as WarrantyMaster. It would do this by pulling information based on the serial tag.

  8. I would like to request the ability to setup a system (server) as a central repository for patches and software per customer/site. Figure this could be along the lines of a probe node. A good example of this type of configuration would be ManageEngine's Desktop Central. This type of setup is a nice solution to reduce Internet bandwidth usage and allow direct management of the packages (software deployment).

  9. We use the Pulseway Dashboard to monitor notifications with the option 'Show only systems with elevated or critical alerts' enabled. This works really well for picking up almost every notification except for 'Send a notification when the public IP has changed' which turns out to be a really useful notification for when an internet services has failed over or failed back. Currently I'm unable to set a notification priority on Windows Pulseway Manager 8.0 or Pulseway for ARM 5.1.2 It seems unusual that this is the only notification in the Notifications tab that you're unable to set a Priority for, is this currently being worked on?

I noticed that there is no Asset info section for Linux agents. Can this be added? I know that the Dev team relies on OS built-in commands to gather hardware and BIOS info for this section, so I wanted to offer some insight on how to gather hardware and BIOS info in Linux using built-in commands. Here is a gist outlining the basic commands for your Dev team reference: https://gist.github.com/flatlinebb/87bba149eed8ce91b8553c20dfae027d For those that do not want to click on a link to an external website, here is a snippet: How to view the system specs in linux Open terminal and type sudo dmidecode --type. Don't click Enter yet! after --type, you can wri…

  11. Why is the "computer is started" notification not available as workflow trigger? I understand the "System offline" + "System back online" triggers in cases where you monitor servers with Pulseway (which are supposed to be online all the time). In our case we monitor remote workstations that get booted up and shut down daily. If we could use "computer is started" as trigger it would be ideal to run eg. an automation script once a system is booted up.

  12. Started by Jonathan Fields,

I get an alert on my watch, but would like to be able to approve log on with the Watch. I use DUO and Microsoft Authenticator and can approve the login from my Watch. With Pulseway I only get an alert that I have a request to approve. Seems like a simple option to add.

I would like to see IPv6 address information for each system alongside their IPv4 information. IPv6 is the future of the Internet. Many end users are now only receiving IPv6 allocations, as the IPv4 address space is running out. pulsewayd already uses IPv6 for some of its connections. All of these reasons point to the importance of IPv6 support.

  14. Hi, I use high CPU notification to notify me when the CPU usage has been over 90% for the last 30 minutes. Even though I have added more minutes to the time period, I still get a lot of these notifications. I would really like to know what is causing these long periods of high CPU usage but the content of the notification always displays processes with very low CPU usage. Can something be done to get this list sorted by the highest CPU using process? Here is an example of the latest notification: The CPU usage on computer 'XXX' in group XXX -XXX -XXX' is above 90% for the last 30 minutes Top Processes: Windows Explorer (Explorer.EXE): …

  15. Hi Team, I wanted to request that Frontapp be added to the 3rd party management tool since we have about 150-180 users who use it. https://frontapp.com/ This is becoming increasing necessary since we are adding remote phone system to the Front app . Let me know if there is anything i can do to facilitate this need. Thank you, Sean Faria

  16. I was curious if there was a way to display multiple screens on the remote desktop for those that are working from home. I know about the toggle but I mean simultaneously, much like the Chrome Remote Desktop or even if we had to remote into the same machine twice and use two windows (which would work perfectly). It would make a lot of peoples life easier particularly during these times!

  17. Hi there! I often find myself running scripts on our machines in a way that demands follow up/verification, so I thought it would be a good thing to be able to add scripts to a queue in Pulseway to have them run at a later point in time when a system becomes available online. Currently I tend to keep a document with all the machines listed, so I can mark them one by one in order to know which ones are done, and which ones remain. This is kinda tedious because our machines (especially laptops) tend to be offline for longer periods of time, and I have to follow up on a daily basis until the script ran successfully on all of them. I know about autom…

  18. I was getting the policies configured for my new setup and I noticed that Patch Management only allows you to select categories of patches and just decide to install them as a whole or not. Unless I'm missing something, there's no ability to approve or deny patches on an individual level. This is a somewhat vital part of any RMM suite as we may often need to decline individual patches that are known to be causing issues (a common problem with Windows 10 these days.) I'd say this is something vital for Pulseway to get implemented as I've worked with a number of RMMs over the years and it's the first one I've seen that doesn't offer this.

  19. Remote Control really needs the ability to both trigger a reboot and to automatically reconnect when the system you're connected to completes the restart. Having it immediately disconnect when a reboot is triggered (usually if it's running as a service, it should be able to hold the session open for things like the first phase of installing Windows updates) and having to manually try over and over again to see if the machine has completed its reboot is really frustrating when you're trying to solve an issue remotely that requires a lot of reboots or even when you're just trying to do a number of updates to a system.

  20. I just signed up for Pulseway to monitor a small client of my side business. I am in the process of setting up patch management for workstations. I would like the systems to prompt the end users to reboot upon installing updates but Pulseway seems to be very restrictive in how it lets you set that up. It looks like all I can do is have it reboot immediately or give the users a 5 minute warning with a generic message. I work with a competitor product at my day job and it allows us to specify whatever message we want, set whatever timer amount we want and allow the users to defer the updates as many times as we want or force a reboot after a certain number of deferment…

  21. Started by Bren,

Currently, any machine that is offline displays only the last know public IP address. It would be very useful if it could display all last known information. Such as serial number for example.

  22. After playing around in my trial account for a bit, I have a few suggestions regarding policy configuration. Allow the creation of policies that inherit settings from other policies and track which settings were overridden. This would allow MSPs to create one or two "Global" policies (Servers/Workstations) as a base, and then create individual policies (for each client) that inherit settings from those global policies. Allow overrides to policy settings on specific systems, track which systems have policy overrides in place, and allow reverting the overrides to the policy defaults. Allow attaching scripts/tasks to policies to run during on-boarding (as …

Hi, It would be nice to have an Section in the overview page of a System what Windows Version / Patch / Update is installed. Like Windows 10 Pro 1909 for example. So we know on what build / CU they are.

  24. New enterprise user coming from Kaseya. Would be great to see access to services (start, stop, restart, configure), the registry (view hives, and add keys/etc.), and file transfers from within the web app. File transfer works great from remote desktop, but here are times we simply need to copy an icon/file and it would be nice to not disturb the user for a simple file copy.

Hello, I think I saw something about this in another post and wanted to follow up. It sounds like there may be updates to the reporting feature. Do we know when? It would be great to have more reports and report options. Reports are a big help in customer meetings and show our value.
