Notifications

We have 55 machines that are being monitored by pulseway for various things. Of the 55 I am only responsible for about 36 of them. In my system tray it only shows the 36 I'm managing, however I still get notifications for the other servers and another member of our team that is managing the other half still gets notifications when my machines go down. How can we make it so that we are not getting notifications for each others servers? Thanks, Aaron Trujillo

Hello, At the moment I am working on setting up Pulseway for a lot of networks. I want to use SNMP to get a lot of data from the different devices in the network. Since we use a lot of the same devices I am already working on default files that I can use to configure the SNMP agents for NAS's, routers and other commonly used hardware. (Files that I only need to import and tweak to get the right values.) This is working properly. Here is the problem though: after importing the SNMP agents, I still need to configure all the notifications manually, and that takes even more time then setting up the SNMP agent in the first place. We've noticed a possible issue with local space monitoring. A server RAID controller went off-line(failed), the array disappeared, and we didn't get a notification of a disk space fault. Which is probably normal as the drive letter never hit our free space threshold. I was thinking of setting up a rule to monitor many drives and have it fall under 1 event. But performance counters seem to be based entirely on performance, and not appearance. Is there some place else where we can monitor local storage that turn up MIA?

I have this feature set to trigger a notification upon > 90% CPU load for 2 minutes... however, the list of running processes that are returned with this notification are always very low CPU usage (< 5%). This suggests that either the Pulseway agent is not monitoring ALL running processes or it is not measuring CPU load correctly...?

Hey forum, I recently had the whole thing running rather well in testing phase, so we decided to go for real. This meant getting different accounts to set the rights properly. This is what I did: puls.connect to connect the agents to the enterprise server. puls.adm to to manage everything (the only admin account). puls.myname to manage all the systems. puls.mycolleaguesname just like me. I linked all of the systems from connect to the others as associated accounts and gave all rights and notifications on. Here is the problem: I am getting almost no notifications whatsoever. I used Pulseway for several years but until 2 years the notifications did not work. When i ask for a test notification i receive a push notification on my iPhone but when my computer starts or shutting down or entering in suspended mode or resumed for a suspended mode i don't receive any notification. I have created a Windows cmd file to copy files nightly on one of my servers. If there is an error, the cmd file outputs the error to an error.txt file, thus updated the "Last Write" date on the file. My command file is working great, and outputs the errors to the error.txt, and the date stamp on the error.txt file is updated each time this happens. I configured the Pulseway Computer Settings via Notifications -> Storage -> Files. I added the error.txt and checked for notifications to be sent when the file last write date has changed. (see image) This works the first time, but the second, no notification is sent. Am I doing something wrong? Any pointers on…

Hi, We are monitoring around 15 servers using pulseway. But I want to configure different email ids for sending the notifications.( not the main emailid which is registered with pulseway). 10 servers notifications to 1 email id & remaining 5 servers to a different emailid.Is it possible to configure in this way ? Hi, just wondered if there was a way to specify any rules when sending emails, i.e. when a certain event happens send an email but not for other events? Also i noticed that for things like servers offline, the email notification keeps being sent over and over whilst the status isn't changed, is there a way of only sending one email untill the status changes again?

Hi, We are trying to use Event Log to send out notification on Event ID 65 as identified in the attached image. however, Pulseway fails to send out the notification.

I would like to be notified when a network device logs onto my wifi network. I can assign these devices static IPs based on MAC addresses. I know I can check to see if they are off of my network by pinging their IPs. However what I try to detect is the opposite. Any clue? These devices are my WDTV media players, android phones, and my TVs.

Hello and good day. Is there any way for Pulseway to notify me when the monitored system reaches a specific % threshold of RAM or CPU usage?

We recently started using notifications for the (+-50) systems we monitor. I was wondering how long the history will be kept for. We have a more atypical setup as the systems aren't servers but video editing workstations which come online/offline quite often, so the amount of notifications will grow quite rapidly. I have enabled lost of notifications on my pc but none of the show up, the did once or twice but not anymore, has anyone a idea why?

Is there a way to get notified if a chassis intrusion is detected. And furthermore, will it also be able to pick that up if the computer is opened while still running?

Is it possible to setup Pulseway to only send out alerts for a particular user for particular servers? We have a SQL admin who only wants to receive alerts from his SQL servers which we have Pulseway installed on, and not alerts from the entire list of servers we have it installed on. I already have his access restricted down to just the SQL servers and I thought that would include alerts, but he's still getting them for all of our servers in the organization.

Hi, I want to turn off the System registered notification. I have unchecked Send an email notification when new devices are added to the account In Admin > Configuration > Settings > General The notifications still come through. Are they enabled anywhere else? Thanks.

Hi Pulseway I am trying to enable 2FA on an account. When i try to add the device as a trusted device, the device is gryed out and says: Two factor authentication requires push notifications which are not enabled on this device. App permissions are all allowed and notifications for the app is allowed. I have tried to uninstall the app and delete the device from the web-app and reinstall the app again. I cannot get the Samsung Galaxy A10 to be validated as a push-enabled phone. What can i do? Best regards Joachim Riisager
