Pulseway 9.14 🔥

Windows installation and configuration

  1. Ideally I would like to utilize Pulseway to prevent my users from upgrading from Windows 10 to Windows 11. Since there isn't an ideal way to do this (at least not that I've come across), I'd like to know if there is a way that I could setup a notification so that I am alerted if someone does this. Any suggestions appreciated. Right now I am doing manual spot-checks of the Systems under Configuration > Organizations.

  2. Hello, I've been using Pulseway (PC Monitor) for years and love the app. I just went from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and I find Pulseway is not allowing me to remote start. Also, after a startup, it doesn't notify me that it's up and running. If I go into my app on my phone, it shows it's up and running. If I send a test notification from the PC, it notifies my phone. I have the power setting set for Turn on fast startup is OFF. I also tried the delayed start and that caused it to not start the service at all. Everything worked perfectly in Windows 7. I also ran the compatibility auto checker and it set it for Windows 8. The app allows me to shut down the PC with no…

We just installed windows 8 on a couple of computers and so far mobilepcmonitor works almost as expected and with no difference from windows 7. Almost that is, because the wake-up function does not seem to work anymore. Any idea what could be causing this? No settings on the router were changed after swapping to windows 8. cheers, e

Hello ever since upgrading my machine to Windows 8.1 the PcMonitor service no longer automatically starts. I did confirm that the service is set to start automatically. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled a few times. If I start the service manually it works. My event logs show: Log Name: Application Source: Windows Error Reporting Date: 10/22/2013 11:31:47 AM Event ID: 1001 Task Category: None Level: Information Keywords: Classic User: N/A Computer: xxxxxxxx Description: Fault bucket 136968820, type 4 Event Name: APPCRASH Response: Not available Cab Id: 0 Problem signature: P1: PCMonitorSrv.exe P2: 4.0.4.0 P…

  7. I want to send a batch file command through jenkins that will alter the config files for all the windows machines (i do this easily on my Linux machines). Reading through the documents here i see instructions for importing config files but that is it. Am i supposed to create my own config file and import it into my pulseway file? If so how do i go about this, I am having trouble understanding where to go from here. Thanks, Aaron

Is this OS supported? I got around one issue during install but remote desktop does not show any active sessions in Dashboard. Appears all other features work just fine.

  9. When I install this way: "\\GP1-LAB-FSVR01\Software\Pulseway Agent\Windows\Pulseway_x64.msi" /qn username=my user name password=my password group=Default server=my enterprise server a folder is created and I can access it, but there is no desktop icon and it does not appear in the programs and features section (when i look to uninstall). I am attempting to do a mass deploy of Pulseway across multiple windows machines using Jenkins via batch or powershell. I need to be able to configure a notifications file but i dont see anything to configure. I would appreciate any help with these questions. Thank you, Aaron Trujill Total.care

  10. Hi All! I am excitedly coming to the end of a trial and about to commit to deploying Pulseway, so I hope I will be a regular contributor to this group. A niggling issue I am having is we have a number of devices with HostNames greater than 15 characters. When I install the agent, and it displays in the UI it is truncating any additional letters after the (NETBIOS compliant) 15 characters. Anyone else also experiencing this issue? Any guidance on how to work around it? Cheers Simon

  12. We have recently upgraded the SSL certificates on our servers to SHA-2 256 and this might cause a connectivity issue for some Windows 2003 servers. To resolve this issue please install the following hotfix (you will need a Microsoft account): https://support.microsoft.com/kb/968730 You can also download the hotfix for the (English only) directly here: Windows Server 2003 (x86, English) http://hotfixv4.microsoft.com/Windows%20Server%202003/sp3/Fix262679/3790/free/375510_ENU_i386_zip.exe Windows Server 2003 (x64, English) http://hotfixv4.microsoft.com/Windows%20Server%202003/sp3/Fix262679/3790/free/375531_ENU_x64_zip.exe Windows XP (x86, English) …

Hello, We have noticed a possible issue on 2012 server Non R2. Firstly Asset info is not available, but more importantly The cpu can spike upto 50% on the server when making the request and then closing the app on my phone. Also a client was having performance issues with a database application and once pulseway was removed the performance issues have gone. We have 4 monitored 2012 standard servers that all seem to show similar oddities with pulseway. They are all HP Proliants All our 2012 R2 servers are fine. Anyone else seeing this?

I get the error by validating that there was no endpoint listening on "myservername"/server.svc. Maybe caused by incorrect addrees of Soap action. It says see innerexception ( what I cannot find) I did install the client as described in the manual, the same on my I-Pad. What is the reason and what do I have to do. It is my first install of Pulseway

Hi, I'm having trouble configuring alerts for Windows Server Backup. I have enabled and configured PowerShell User Impersonation, but when I try to 'Validate Requirements and Settings' in the Windows Server Backup section under Server Modules, it returns with error 'ExecuteChecks timed out after 15 seconds'. The system is Windows Server 2012 R2 datacentre edition configured as a workgroup machine (not on a domain). Thanks in advance! :-)

Hi guys/gals, I have a client that in the past i made a user account for so he can use the windows app store Pulseway to keep an eye on his systems and it worked great. I gave him access to his group only. However, he brought me a new system that I added the agent to but this system does not display in his app. (It does in my systems fine, but I am an admin and he is a user) Where do I go to set what systems he has access to view? I have picked through all the settings and just can't find it again like I did initially several months ago. I just figured that since he should have read access to his group...and this new system is IN his group, it would appea…

I am very happy that Pulseway finally released a way to deploy Feature Updates. That being said, we don't use WSUS any longer, we only rely on the ability of the Pulseway Agent to download and apply updates according to the rules we have setup. I am just curious if anyone using the Windows update GPO to control any of the Windows Update features on workstations that have Pulseway installed? I guess, is there any need for it and if so, what do you like to control? Do any of you disable Windows Updates entirely on your workstations and only rely on Pulseway to manage updates?

I can't seem to get this to work properly. Seems OK from over the LAN if the PC is in sleep mode. Does not WoL from hiberation or powered off....that would be nice to get that working to and get true WoL functionality. I've even got port forwarding on my ASUS RT-N66U router forwarding ports 7 and 9 on UDP to the static IP of my PC. But no WoL over the WAN. Has anybody got this to work properly?

  22. iptime Broadband Route is in use. I'm trying to boot my computer from a cell phone to a cell phone. For example, the DDNS address provided in iptime Broad Bridge is referred to as ABC.iptime.org Is there any way to boot the computer from outside? Currently, it doesn't work well if you want to boot your computer and boot from the outside to the outside of your computer. However, it works well with other applications.

  24. Hi I'm getting this message when I try to connect to XenApp. Any ideas?

  25. I installed the x86 version and had no errors during install. Yet, the service will not start on the PC. I have checked the services to verify that is it listed and it is NOT. Upon uninstalling, an error came up as unable to uninstall since no service is listed. I re-installed the program, again with no errors, with the same issue resulting of the service not starting. Any ideas?! Have looked through registry but nothing stands out as obvious. Thanks!
