Feature Requests

A few things I think are missing: 1. Basic support for Microsoft DHCP/DNS. 2. NPS notifications for radius login etc 3. Windows firewall with advanced security. edited: removed services (I didn't realize this feature already exists, I just had to enable it)

(Before I get in to the post, I wanted to thank everyone for their hard work creating PCM plugins. It is amazing what can be accomplished while I'm working off of the tablet and getting a late night caffeine fix a local cafe. Simply amazing). I handle Windows (OS, Microsoft apps, third party) patch management for around 200 machines. I also have a WSUS setup at home for the machines at the house. There are are few statistics and alerts that require quicker response than the normal monthly update cycle. For example: * Machine(s) that have not reported to WSUS after XX days * Machine(s) with XX pending updates or higher * New machine in Unassigned Computers …

I am trying to setup Pulseway to send me a notification every time my NPS Radius Server (Windows 2008R2) generates a Access-Reject packet. The purpose of this setup is to know when someone fails authentication on cisco ipsec gateway (I use NPS to auth VPN users against Active Directory.) The "NPS Authentication Clients" counter has an "Access-Rejects" that increments on each event, however I can't set a notification because the only "Value Comparator" options are to check if "greater/less than/equal" to the value. What is needed is a new "comparator" that has a checkbox that says "value incremented". Any thoughts?

hi there, is there any way that the pulseway app can send a notification when a new network device is connected to the network and gather some info on what it is?? then once it has got this info, run a report to show what devices are connected to the network at a given time?? just floating ideas out there thanks in advance Gary

So, I have been doing a big de-clouding of my life, largely for privacy reasons. I have used Enterprise Server at work, and it's a great product. I would love to use it to monitor three to five machines at home, but obviously it's priced well outside the zone for that. I am really looking for more products which allow private server options at an affordable rate for small use. Since I started using PC Monitor/Pulseway for home use, I've always been a free user. The paid versions simply don't offer anything compelling. A reasonable price to run the software without relying on a cloud service though, would easily earn my money.

Hi - I think the Dashboard is a really important tool for alerting and giving visual assurance, but it's a bit limited when you have a number of monitored systems or groups as the dashboard quickly ends up with multiple screens, meaning some machines aren't visible? I can't quite imagine how this would work well with 50 or more monitored machines as so much information would not be visible? If you've got a single machine in a group/category...it takes up an entire row on the dashboard, with a huge amount of wasted space to the right of the machine icon...it would be great if the dashboard could be more like "tiles" than "rows", with monitored systems shown as a 1x1 ti…

Often times we will install a new application during production hours that will warrant a restart post-production. Right now, we place calendar reminders to restart. It would be much better / easier to schedule restarts from inside the application post-production.

I'd like to see in addition to Windows Updates being controlled by patch management, the ability to update and patch things like Adobe Reader, Silverlight, Flash etc. A lot of these items are attack vectors and it would be nice to be able to patch them as well.

Hello, it should be possible to add an dynDNS Host beside of the external IP. Many german providers have dynamic external IPs that change every 24 hours. The App only knows the latest external IP. If a PC is offline for e.g. 3 days, starting with Wake on Lan is not possible. I hope you understand my problem? Regards, Thomas

Hi, upon first-time configuration on new server I spend a lot of time to configure MONITORED SERVICES, one by one, having another window with SERVICES.MSC open and comparing services one by one, if it is running and whether to check it or not. I'd suggest better approach here: Improvement 1 would be to have a button under SERVICES tab, saying "Select all running services". Hi, After servers are rebooted PC Monitor always tells us that a handful of services is not started. Most of them has the start up type "Automatic (delayed)", but other services just uses a longer time before starting up. Could it be possible for PC Monitor to wait a few minutes before reporting failed services after a reboot? Then we could avoid a lot of ghost alerts. Br, Martin.

Hi, Under performance notifications it would make sense if you monitors the Page File Usage. To day we can set up a performance counter notification, but it would make sense to add it to the cpu/memory section. Here is an example of the current performance counter notification we do configure. Hi all, I would really love to see the dashboard update notifications when an alert criteria has been corrected. For example, if I have an alert that says your ping response is longer than 300ms, I might not do anything about it but keep an eye on it; I would love for that ping to keep going and then alert me again when the ping dips back below the 300ms again. We currently monitor network connections down to Latin America as well as to the Philippines and we get network drops all the time; whats important is when we see the systems come back up whether its on its own or after we've fixed a problem. It'd be wonderful if mobile device could be put into 'quiet mode' during user-specified hours. It's a bit annoying having my phone and iPad alerting me to things at 3:00am !

I would like to request the ability to export your current list of notifications to a file for archiving purposes. This way you can clear all current notifications but retain the information for reference purposes. Thanks for a great product!

Adobe has issued a security update for Flash Player 15 ActiveX. It updates from version 15.0.0.189 to version 15.0.0.223. It is immediately obvious for the apps, which version is installed. On the report, however, it only reports Adobe Flash Player 15 ActiveX. I do not know of any other applications where this is an issue, but it makes checking the Flash update a much longer process for me.
