Will activating a device in Patch Management override the default behavior on the target machine? IE, if the client is set to receive all updates automatically and the policy is set to only check once a week will it stop the updates defined in the client without manual intervention? I assume that's the purpose but just want to be clear. What if updates are configured by GPO? Will it still override? Thanks

Hi Just taken on a client with laptops that have encrypted hard drives. They need a password when starting up so does anyone have experience/ideas with regards to remote support and monitoring. I use Pulseway to apply Updates, for example, in an evening but with many needing restarts I'm then unable to check all is well before the start of the next working day. Cheers, Andy

I have created a number of Automation scripts that I would now like to share with other Pulseway users of our Enterprise installation. How is this best done?

I am attempting to simply change the name of a client workstation form "Steve Doe" to "Brandon Doe" and it has so far been unsuccessful. I have tried from the client side, and from the dashboard manager. So far all attempts have not worked. When I attempt to do it from the client side, the client goes offline, and comes back up ~ 3 minutes later (it doesn't actually turn off, pulseway just detects it as offline). Doing it locally freezes application and forces it to be stuck at "Loading Scheduled Tasks...". I have ran into this before. I fear uninstalling will prevent a re installation. Hi, With the recent recommendation from NCSC not to use Russian AV as this could result in a Data Breach which under GDPR could be expensive for us and or customers! What is Pulseway’s stance on this, will you be removing support for Kaspersky? Maybe replace it with ESET or BitDefender? Paul

Hi there, I have installed Pulseway on 2 PC's and according to my subscription page. I get 2 free licences. I was using Pulseway quite successfully last night till I received an email saying I had reached the Notification limit and to remove this limitation I should consider getting a subscription. I have logged on today to try and purchase a subscription for 2 licences as luckily that is all I need at this stage but due to it saying the first 2 agents are free I can't purchase a full subscription for just 2 licences How can I get unlimited notification for my 2 free licences?

Hi Guys, Apologies in advance for the long post. I've been playing around with Automation Tasks and wanted to know what will cause the task to be flagged as failed or successful. Basically I created a test task with a test machine in a test scope, added a bunch of random scripts to the task and ran it. All looked good and comes back as executed successfully. It wasn't until I actually go into the Execution History and look at the output that I find that some haven't actually completed successfully at all. Hi. By default, when adding Pulseway agent to a machine, and monitoring services, it monitor all Automatic services. Thats fine. Some services are Automatic, but not started, as they get started as an when needed. Then I have a manual task of unselecting the services that are on Auto, but not started on all machines, so that the Pulseway agent does not trigger an alert, for example, "Software Protection" Then a couple days later, I get an alert stating the service I asked PW kindly to stop monitoring, is now being monitored, and has stopped!! Grrr.

Hi, I've been using Pulseway for a few years. Never noticed any real issues. For some reason my monitored processes are not generating notifications when they close. Just for the sake of this post I've chosen the calc.exe process in windows server 2012 r2 and have pulseway 5.3 installed: If I start of by deleting any existing monitored processes then select "calc.exe" from TM..... Then restart calc.exe...it will generate an alert for the first start of calculator. But it won't do anything when I close calc.exe again. Then it won't work at all until I delete and re add the monitored process. Can someone please help me out and list reasons why th…

Hello, I figured I would re-post this issue we have been having. Only to solve one issue this time. I have successfully uninstalled the pulseway application from a user's computer that was having major issues. (Deleted all pulseway services, related folders, and registry entries). However we are unable to install the program again. The user is using Windows 7 64 bit. Please assist, as I don't want the users PC to be not monitored.

Hey, If we receive monitoring emails from pulsway, they are blocked by the spam filter. Our spam filter is at normal level. I have had contact with our provider but that can not be changed. Hi, on a couple of systems the Pulseway Agent doesn’t start automatically. If I look into the services.msc I see that the service should start automatically, but it doesn’t. In the moment when I start the Pulseway Manager, I get an information, and I can start the Pulseway Agent. I am also able to start the agent over the services.msc. Any idea? Thanks, Christian.

Hi We're looking for a way to monitor our client UPS' using the PulseWay Monitor. They are all connected to customer's servers using either USB or network. Is there a way to use PulseWay to monitor these, and to then alert us if there's an issue / event? The UPS' are all APC based. I believe we can use the SNMP module to do this, but my testing so far has been unsuccessful. Thanks Matt

Having trouble finding where to do an exclusion in KAV for Windows. KAV quarantined some files that are required for some X-Ray software on a client. Need to make sure these files are not treated as a virus.

I was installed Pulseway on 16 Servers 14 show online 1 show offline but it was online from yesterday dashboard flashing up offline so I was deleted from server group and no idea how could I add back this server again to dashboard.Last server I just installed pulseway 2 hours ago wont cameup in dashboard yet. Hello, I have two devices that I need a notification when a ping to them is successful. In normal operation, both IP addresses are off. But if ther eis a problem the IPs may come on, and if they do I need a notification. Any Ideas?
