All the best to developers of PW at all extent, that's least what they deserve. I really love it very much, that PW idea is not dead, love to see development taking places and things going forward into new dimensions. BUT I also love to criticize what bothers me. And this time it is that flat, anemic, Windows 10-like design, which got rid of colors, titles are all of the sudden not bigger and bolder, but smaller and barely seen, my eye cannot rely on blazing fast brain functionality to distinguish between different colors, because colors are gone, so I need to read what each icon means, especially under a bit stronger sunlight. And to my frustration I realize, that i…

e.g. processor, ram, serial number Pulseway has gathered that information, it is stored somewhere, it is useful information for supporting customers (whether the machine is on or off), it is available via the rather cumbersome reports - so why is it not visible via systems or groups when the asset is offline? Or am I missing a setting somewhere to make it visible? Thanks EndzoneHero Offline (no asset info): Online (asset info!):

I have a Windows 7 machine with the application installed. From "netbios -b -f", I noticed that the PCMonitorSrv.exe process, which is use by Pulseway, is making connection with random ports to random IP. What are these for? Hello, What tools are available for me to monitor my 200+ Windows 7 clients to see if Windows 7 backup completed successfully and drive has remaining space? I'm assuming pulseway monitors drive space and alerts me if it's low but I wasn't sure about easy way to find out if backup has been done last night and possible notification. Thanks, Serge

As a test I've installed the client service on an eee netbook running Windows XP Home SP3. A few times a minute, there is a an application log information event from PC Monitor "PowerEvent handled successfully by the service". Timing is random - between events I've seen as few as 6 seconds and as many as 30 or so, but it's at least twice per minute since I installed the service. I don't see these events on my other machines (Asus G73 notebook Win7 x64 and HP DL380G3 Win2003 Enterprise x32). I've determined that the events are being spawned because of the "Microsoft ACPI-compliant control method battery" device driver (but which is also present on the G73 without the e…

I have no clue where to put this so MOD's feel free to move... OK, for the past couple of days I keep getting alerts on 3 endpoints about Windows Defender needing to have an update installed, even though WebRoot is installed and Windows Defender was disabled. After going through the processes, I noticed that Windows Defender was and was not disabled. Heres what I found when looking at the Startup under Task Manager. There are two (2) Windows Defender installed and one was disabled, the other not. After research, it appears that going from 1709 to 1803 installs the second Windows Defender with so far no way to remove it. So I just manually disabled it and also di…

I had a conversation yesterday with Vick at Pulseway and discussed my solution to the problem of the Pulseway service not starting reliably 100 percent of the time. I always set the service to run delayed in Windows. I have had to do this with ScreenConnect as well. If I do not, every once in a while, on reboot, I will find the service not running. This is a real problem if I only had the remote built into Pulseway as my remote control, but I run ScreenConnect. What I find, is that Pulseway may not be working but ScreenConnect is running, or it works the other way. I would like to see an option on install of the agent, in the form of a radio button that I…

I am evaluating Pulseway and understand that for various reasons Windows Feature Updates are not included as part of the automated or manual patch management. I was told that they can be distributed via a Pulseway script. Two questions: Has the community built/shared such a script? Can the update be downloaded once and installed enterprise wide, thus eliminating the need to download these large files multiple times? Thank you

I signed up for a free trial a couple of hours ago, and the iOS app seems great (but for a couple of bugs), but the Windows browser based interface is just awful . The scroll bar is exactly 6 pixels wide which is so thin that I can't hit it accurately. The normal browser scrollbar is 20 inches wide (IE and Google chrome), so you made it 70% thinner for no good reason. Making things worse, the space bar and the down/up arrows can't be used to scroll the window either. After playing with it for about 10 minutes, I just gave up. This is just poor interface design. It seems that you concentrate on mobile apps, but the Windows interface could really use some work. …

Hello users. Yesterday I've installed PC Monitor for android to remote control my PC and It is great! The only thing I am concerned about is that I need to turn off my windows password in order to allow the app to log in into the system after I turn it on from a distance. Is there any way I could still have my windows password-protected and use PC Monitor? Like... It could type it automaticly when the windows is starting or something? For now, to access my computer, I have to shut down the password completely, so system can get to the desktop after just turning it on. But this way my system isn't protected from anyone that could turn it on manually from home.…

Maybe I'm using the wrong search tags but I can't seem to find the answer here. When I restart my computer using pulseway, windows boots up and sits there waiting for a password. I can't seem to find a way to enter the password in the pulseway app. Is there a way to do this or a specific script to run instead of restart, or is the only way to remove the windows password?

Hello, I've just started using this software and think it's great and it will save me a lot of time, especially for installing Windows Updates. It works great for installing critical & important updates. We run Windows 7 Pro on all of our computers and I was wondering if there is a way to install the optional windows updates as well? Thanks, Gerry

What if the windows updates needs user intervention to get by some prompts??... How can I check on this? I"m logged into the server now (on the console) and i don't see any "Windows Updates" activity.... Please advise, thanks!

Hi Everyone, As everyone knows Windows Updates are not bullet proof and they cause problems periodically with examples being flashing screens on logins for touch screen machines, lost audio abilities, files going missing and so on. The goal of this Topic is to provide a way for all the members of this forum to report issues with KB's either that they've experienced or that have been reported elsewhere thus allowing all those participating to determine if they want to adjust their global policies to hold off on a KB or make other changes. Your participation is greatly appreciated and I'm sure other tech's will be thankful for the information provided. If you need to l…

We have a very low server count and manually perform patches via the pulseway mobile app when necessary. We also have another app that scans each system on our domain for patches/software that is primarily used only to deploy to workstations. Currently our servers show we are missing KB4537819 and KB4538158 via Windows Update (no WSUS). The other app is set to ignore preview updates, so in turn shows we are missing updates KB4519108 and KB4530745. Is there anyway to get these patches to show up in the general windows update scan so we can deploy them via the pulseway app?

So, Wake on Lan seems to work as my machine wakes up (being sent from iPhone, outside of network). However, I still get a "failure" notice and then my machine wakes up. Is this a bug, or something else I may have configured wrong. I did change the port from the default "9" to something else in your system settings. Is it possibly also trying to ping old port settings? Just want to make sure my installation is secure. Thanks.

Does anyone know if there are load limits to generating workflows. We are triggering scheduled workflows every 30 minutes, for all ~80 servers. (Yes I know that is fairly small numbers compared to most of you). Has anyone had issues with workflows hitting a performance/load limit. We may want to increase the frequency of the workflow, and definitely increase the server count. Each workflow is fairly simple, updates custom fields, tags, and runs simple powershell scripts. Cheers Simon

just finished my first .NET Cloud API application. a cloud instance named WorldAgent that is fired from a web-application which allows other monitoring systems like nagios creating http-calls that end as a pc monitor notification visible in all pc monitor clients the nagios apps just call http:// {myenterpriseserver/wa/?message=the_message&priority={normal|elevated|critical}&code={auth-code} and the notification is fired. there is no need to wait for the http answer so it can be implemented nearly everywhere. an easy to use API to use and sell the excellent pc monitor clients to clients that already have set up other monitoring systems and do not want to throw…

Today I just downloaded and installed 32 bit debian Pulseway on a Linux (Ubuntu 12.04) machine. There is 12GB of memory installed and 1GB in use. In the Pulseway client (W8 Phone in this case, but I've seen it wrong in other clients) - the client shows 4GB installed and 3GB available. I have tried installing the 64 bit debian, but the Ubuntu installer says its the wrong architecture. Any ideas? Thanks, Richard
