If you create a new ticket (post date of service), you can add a travel expense for a date before ticket creation. You can also change the expense date successfully if done from the expense entry inside the ticket. However, if you go to "My Expense Reports" and open the expense and try to change the date to before ticket creation, there is an error "cannot create expense before ticket creation date". Its easier to do this from My Expense Report and you should never be prevented from adding an expense dated before ticket creation. Thanks
  2. I had a big issue today where replies from clients were not adding the reply as a note, but instead creating a new ticket altogether. In the end, there were 2 causes. 1) In the default PSA email templates, the Ticket number was set as #Ticket No#. This looks really weird in my opinion, when referring to a ticket number its generally "Ticket Number" or "#Ticket Number". I had removed the trailing # on most of the templates. I searched the knowledge base and forums and there was no mention, so it was only through trial and error that I realized that you HAVE to have both # at front and end of ticket number for replies to work. 2) In some templates, I removed the Ticket number all together as it really had no purpose. I would much rather use a Subject line like: "A note has been added to your ticket regarding [%Ticket Title%]" Again, through trial and error I realized for replies to work the ticket number (formatted per 1 above) must be included in the subject. There was another forum post from someone having issues with replies on CC's. In that thread they thought the same thing I did, that adding the Reply Separator field in the message body had all the needed coding to enable replies to the ticket. I am posting this for anyone else who may be searching for this and to also request that header info be embedded in the Reply Separator field so that it is all that is needed to enable replies as notes back to the originating ticket. Also, some documentation on this feature and associated troubleshooting may be a good knowledge base article to post.
  3. I've been trying to automate as many of my maintenance tasks as possible with Pulseway, but I've noticed that the scheduled start time does not correspond with the actual start time. It's not consistent though, so it doesn't appear to be a time zone issue. Here's some examples: Sample: Cleanup Temporary Files Weekly on Thursday starting on 29 December 2016 at 20:00 16 February 2017 21:39 Took 8 seconds Result: Successful 15 February 2017 20:00 Took 15 seconds Result: Successful 8 February 2017 20:00 Took 15 seconds Result: Successful 1 February 2017 20:00 Took 22 seconds Result: Successful 25 January 2017 20:00 Took 1 minute and 42 seconds Result: Successful 18 January 2017 20:00 Took 18 seconds Result: Successful 12 January 2017 22:06 Took 1 minute and 3 seconds Result: Successful 11 January 2017 20:00 Took 20 seconds Result: Successful 4 January 2017 23:56 Took 10 seconds Result: Successful Other tasks have the same issue with scheduling. While basic maintenance scripts like time syncs, temp file cleanup are not time sensitive, Other tasks are. I have my complete weekly patch and update sequence saved as scheduled tasks, and I can't use it because the scripts are not guaranteed to run during my maintenance window. Any ideas?
  4. Hello, since some days my hard disk drives don't spin down anymore while not in use. I tracked the problem down with process monitor and found out that the PCMonitor Service is accessing the drives every minute through the WMI Provider Host Service (wmiprvse.exe). I disabled in Pulseway the storage notification of local disk space on all drives but it did not help. As soon as I disable the Puleway service, the disks spin down after the configured laps of time as they should do. I'am using Pulseway since some years, but the problem occured recently and was not there before. Thanks for your help. Michael
  5. I can't seem to update any agent settings remotely anymore. I normally use Dashboard to edit an agent's config and change the computer name as needed (hire/term). As of about a week ago, this no longer works. The agent config screen comes up normally after right clicking in Dashboard and choosing edit computer settings, lets me make my changes, and then gives the standard "this may take 30 secs" message when saving. But nothing happens, no update. If I go back in and look at the settings again the modifications are not there. This also happens with Pulseway Manager under Manage Systems. I don't see a way to update agent settings using the WebApp. I have not updated my Dashboard to my knowledge, still using 5.1.2. Agent version is 5.4. Doesn't seem to matter what OS the computer is running, happening with all PCs And i've installed the Dashboard on a different PC, same results. The only way to make the changes stick is to login to the computer in question and make the changes on the agent locally. Help!
  6. When adding a new contract, it always gets created with the auto generated contract #, ignoring anything you've placed in the contract # field yourself. You have to edit the contract again to correct it.
  7. When a new ticket is opened via email, the sender receives two confirmation emails. They are duplicates.

When we install Webroot from the "Agent Status" tab in the Pulseway WebApp, it continuously says that it is installing Webroot when in fact it is installed. I can't run any actions until this issue is resolved. What could cause this?

Can someone tell me why this script works locally from the server but not from Pulseway. I've tested running the script both with impersonation enabled and disabled. Both tests were done on server 2012 R2. One with default Powershell version and one with 5.1. This script runs perfectly fine from the server itself just not through pulseway. I have several scripts that give the same type of error. I'd appreciate any help so I can figure this out. It seems like Pulseway doesn't like certain characters? ForEach ($COMPUTER in (Get-ADComputer -Filter '*' | Select -ExpandProperty Name)) { $key = “SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\WindowsUpdate\Auto Update\Results\Install” $keytype = [Microsoft.Win32.RegistryHive]::LocalMachine $RemoteBase = [Microsoft.Win32.RegistryKey]::OpenRemoteBaseKey($keytype,$Server) $regKey = $RemoteBase.OpenSubKey($key) $KeyValue = $regkey.GetValue(”LastSuccessTime”) $System = (Get-Date -Format "yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss") if ($KeyValue -lt $System) { Write-Host " " Write-Host $computer "Last time updates were installed was: " $KeyValue } } This is what it looks like when ran from the server without involving pulseway

Hi Guys, We've noticed that some of the ticket titles from the RMM system to PSA are way too long, please check the attachment. Other events like backup failures/successes are fine but CPU and Memory usage tickets are massive. Would you be able to look into a way to create less obtrusive ticket titles from RMM? We've also noticed that the RMM priority doesn't necessarily map to a PSA priority. Is there a way to do this or is this something to come out in the future? Many thanks, Martin

I was attempting to create a task on Pulseway, and got an error after attempting to save / publish the task. I am using the current version of Google Chrome. Something went wrong. The formatter threw an exception while trying to deserialize the message: There was an error while trying to deserialize parameter https://webapp.pulseway.com:parameters. The InnerException message was 'Error in line 1 position 1046. 'Element' 'ScopeName' from namespace 'http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/MM.Monitor.Types' is not expected. Expecting element 'IsScheduled'.'. Please see InnerException for more details.

Hey Pulseway, Just a small thing: when "Collect historical data for charts" is enabled and you go to the graph in the web interface, it shows the incorrect unit when hovering over the line. If I go to a ping graph and then to the temperature graph it says "38 ms"; If I go to the network adapter graph and then to the temperature graph it says "38 B"; I even got it to say "38 Connection failures" from a performance counter, but never 38 °C. I think you get the point, it's minor, but it's still a bug. - Jaapyse

Hey forum, It's me again (how could two weeks go by without me asking any questions...). The problem I'm facing is every once in a while I open a remote desktop connection and when ordering the command "Ctrl+alt+del" it doesn't respond. Clicking the accessibility doesn't do anything either. Usually I can Pulseway RDP into another server in the network and from there MS RDP into the server I'm trying to reach but that is obviously not the way. For the moment it's not too much of a problem, but one of these days I'm going to run into a network with only one monitored device and no MS RDP available and by then I'm in trouble... I hope I'll have a response before then. - Jaapyse

  17. Hi, Long time user just for my home systems and just built a new gaming rig and installed Pulseway and as per the title am unable to set a notification for any hardware monitoring on the CPU, which is an I7 6700k ? I've installed Pulseway and rebooted but no joy? Running on Windows 8.1 Pro adn when viewing the new device in Pulseway monitoring it show the CPU usage (%) and the BIOS version etc. but unable to add the notifications? I know both the Motherboard (MSI Z170 M7) and CPU (Intel i7 6700k Skylake) are very new, so is it just an update of Pulseway needed or am I missing something ?

I'm getting an error in the Ping status on my Linux server, running Debian 8 (Linux x86_64 3.16.0-4-amd64 according to the agent info) It says there is an error, but there are no details on what the error is. When I manually ping 8.8.8.8 from the Command Line, it works fine, both from the server itself and from the Webapp terminal. Here are the relevant lines from the config file: <!--Ping - Server: server IP address or hostname--> <Ping Server="8.8.8.8" Enabled="true"/> I checked the sample config file, which I copied and edited for my needs, and I noticed there is no </Ping> statement. Most other sections have a starting statement and a closing statement: i.e.: <MonitoredPorts> </MonitoredPorts> Could that be the problem? I also can see that there is a background process with the ping command: root@xxxxxxx ~ # ps aux | grep ping root 16329 0.0 0.0 8464 756 ? S 12:03 0:00 ping 8.8.8.8 So the system is at least trying to ping, but maybe the Pulseway agent is not capturing the output. Any ideas/suggestions/fixes?

Hello, I have found that running chocolatey install or uninstall commands via Powershell through the webapp results in the client showing "offline" in Pulseway. I have experienced this with Windows 7 Professional and Windows 10 Enterprise. After checking the system I dont see any errors in the Application or systems logs and the Pulseway service is still running. I used a command like this "choco install skype -y" which should just install the skype package from the chocolatey repository. After restarting the pulseway service on the client it appears online again, but for me this is quite a problem since I update third party packages via remote powershell and chocolatey. Thanks Dan

  21. Hello everybody A monitored server was offline in Dashboard all the time. Tried to reinstall --> no change. Delete device from dashboard and reinstalled again. Device is activated and even connected to, (Test notifications and validating account is working to.) But it still doesn't appears in Dashboard or mobile app and so we aren't able to perform any action on this device. In addition to that we are encountering this problem: When i try to establish performance counters I'm getting this: "Name der fehlerhaften Anwendung: PCMonitorManager.exe, Version: 4.7.6.704, Zeitstempel: 0x5598214a Name des fehlerhaften Moduls: ZIPPerformance64.dll, Version: 9.0.4.121, Zeitstempel: 0x546d2dc8" This dll is belonging to EXTREMZ-IP AFP Services
