Hi, We are running a Linux based VCenter appliance. Do we need to install a Linux version of the agent on this appliance for it to show up as a separate entity under the server groups. Currently we have to access the VCenter from a server module from a different server. Many thanks.

I did search the forum for the answer to this but couldn't find any. What options do I have if the sysadmin when I'm installing pulseway and decides to use supervise to run the services. Any ideas what I put for DaemonType and any other options? Is much appreciate it!

Hi, I installed Pulseway Agent on my RPI like they said on the Website. I went to the "config.xml" and entered my Username and Password. When I now go back to the Website it just showes "No systems monitored. Download and install the agent on the systems you want to monitor." I did everything like they said on the Website. I also googled and found out you have to install some SSL stuff, so I typed the command they said on the forum (sudo apt-get install ca-certificate) and the Console just says, that the Package "CA-Certificate" could not be found. What did I do wrong?

We had a Rasberry Pi that I believe was offline during the upgrade to 6.0, I turned it on but it will not check in. I did try updating the login info, I don't believe the old Administrator account exists under the new user based system. But still no luck, I have noticed it does not encrypt the password when I restart the service if that is a clue what is wrong. Any ideas appreciated.

I am running CentOS 6 and I can track most of my /etc/init.d services just fine - except for iptables. When the service is running, Pulseway reports that it is down. For example, these lines work just fine: <Service Name="ntpd" DisplayName="NTPD Service" IsDaemon="true" DaemonType="SYSVINIT" Path="" StartParameters="" CanBeStopped="true" Enabled="true"/> <Service Name="crond" DisplayName="Cron Daemon" IsDaemon="true" DaemonType="SYSVINIT" Path="" StartParameters="" CanBeStopped="true" Enabled="true"/> But this one does not <Service Name="iptables" DisplayName="iptables Service" IsDaemon="true" DaemonType="SYSVINIT" Path="" StartParameters="…

Seems my server can't connect to ws0 thru the pulseway client, no, it is not a DNS or Internet error, the server in question can successfully ping the server. pulseway: Error while registering online:SOAP 1.1 fault SOAP-ENV:Server[no subcode]#012"No route to host"#012Detail: connect failed in tcp_connect() pulseway: Error while registering computer:SOAP 1.1 fault SOAP-ENV:Server[no subcode]#012"No route to host"#012Detail: connect failed in tcp_connect() These are the two errors I get in syslog.

I am attempting to install pulseway on my raspberry pi 3b+, and have downloaded and installed the correct file from the pulseway website, and made sure that my openssl libraries are up to date and correctly setup. I followed through with the given installation instructions and repeatedly the pulseway service is unable to be started. When executing the command sudo systemctl start pulseway, the command works and presents no errors. Upon checking the app or the list of all services, however, pulseway is not shown as a service and there is no devices connected to the app. See the attached images for the output of sudo systemctl status pulseway

Hi there, I have been using Pulseway for some months now and everything was good until yesterday when I rebooted the machine the agent is running on. This machine went throught Linux updates some days before so I think this is related. What I experience is that when the service starts, reads the configuration, but after a second the daemon exits with code 11 as you can see below. ● pulseway.service - Remotely Monitor and Control IT Systems Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/pulseway.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: failed (Result: signal) since Sat 2019-08-03 23:42:38 WEST; 1s ago Process: 23493 ExecStart=/usr/sbin/pulsewayd --…

My homeserver is running a pulseway agent and pihole (running dnsmasq) on debian testing. Pihole shows every 16 seconds a CNAME call of the homeserver to ws5.pulseway.com. All my other computers with a pulseway agent (Windows-10) don't call this much. My question is, how can I change my configuration to bring back the amount of calls.

Hello, I have just registered and configured two Linux-based systems (both openSUSE Leap 42.3) and have been able to receive notifications about system down/up events as well as notifications about services not being started. This works perfectly well. What received my attention is that: * Shutdown notifications are not being sent. I have found out on this forum that this may be caused by the event being sent after the network interface has been taken down, so I am just ignoring it. Nonetheless: can you confirm this behaviour? * Notifications about user login events are being sent correctly, whereas notifications about user logout events …

Hello. I am only extremely short with TestAccount at Pulseway. I hope I am just too stupid or have not found the info with my poor English. # Question Linux -> Performance Monitor? For Windows systems I see CPU, RAM, hard disk. With my Debian I don't see that. Agent is installed. Are there sample policies somewhere or what do I have to do? I hope this works. Thanks a lot, Lars

Several Linux machines behind proxy server are suddenly showing as offline. No changes to proxy or network so assume there has been a software update? I have tested with the proxy server configured as an IP Address, and hostname. The above is when configured with IP Address. config.xml

So I have configured Pulseway agent on RHEL 8 to monitor nginx. I have configured it as a systemd service and sure enough I get an alert if I stop nginx. But it only does this once. If I start the service wait a few mins and stop it again it does not re alert, even if I clear the alarm. The only way i can get it to work again is restart the pulseway service.

We recently got an Axe Effect Temperature monitor to keep an eye on the server room temperature. This is a linux based device and we've managed to get the device discovered on the Site Map and we can see the temperature values from the device via a SNMP variable that we have setup. The issue is that we want to have Pulseway send out an alert if the server temperature rises about a certain level. Trying to define a policy to monitor the snmp variables to flag on an overheat condition, I am unable to properly map to these variables, I am assuming it's due to the fact that SNMP only applies to Windows devices? Was wondering if there was a work around for li…
