Hello, I've been using PC Monitor since 5 computers could be monitored for free and this has served me well. PC Monitor is really great. I intend to replace 1 of them since I got my sister a new computer, but I'm not sure I will be be able to add the new machine once I remove 1 of the 5 in use. Will the new 3 machines limit be applied or old users still get 5? By the way, I would like to suggest a "light" subscription of up to 7 or 8 machines. That would cover most of the tech guys family needs (wife, sons/daughters, brothers/sisters, parents..) Regards, Gilson

Firstly - great product. This is just what I am looking for. Secondly, I am currently evaluating the free version. Looking to ugrading to the full version, are there any restrictions on multiple users/logons? Basically, there would be 2 people (myself plus one other), both with Android phones and using the desktop client. Is this possible with the "standard" version, or would we need the Enterprise version? Thanks in advance.

Thank you very much for producing a great product. As a home linux (Centos & FC15) user and I am using a free subscription and I have a couple of questions. During account creation using the pcmonitor-manager (and also with the text only version) I was having some problems setting up an email address. I have 2 domains that I use for email, and neither seem to be recognised as a valid email address, I ended up making up a gmail.com address to get round the problem. I can PM you with the email addresses I have tried. Is it possible to change the email address associated with my account, since I don't seem to be able to do this either in the iPad app or on…

  5. Lots of admin types just about live in vRD. (If you've never heard of it, check it out: www.visionapp.com.) Happy to report that PC Monitor Dashboard 2.7 can be installed as an "External App", and 90% works. The 10% that doesn't is the menu bar. But I don't use the menu bar in Dashboard much after it's installed, so that works for me. My settings in the Dashboard external app properties' "Options": Wait for exit: On Max wait time: 2 Try to integrate: On Max wait time: 2 Start as shell process: Off [Edit] Since writing that yesterday, I've decided to go for the record for the most tortured way to use Dashboard. Not only because it's highly useful in my…

  6. Hi, One of my Windows PC's went down for a disk controller error. One time it restarted and another time it shut down. Checking the windows logs I found the disk controller error event and the Kernel-Power event (both in System log event). I trapped the events in PC Monitor but when all this happened again the only alert from PC Monitor was for the disk controller event but nothing for Kernel-Power. Just to understand. If a windows machine goes down windows has just the right time to log the event but I guess PC Monitor has not got time to alert. If this is right I guess I can't trap the Kernel-Power event. Thanks Daniele

How can I reset my account password? I have managed to lock it due to to many failed attempts and cant for the life of me remember the password I set against the account on first creation. I also cant seem to find an option on the site to reset it or send a reminder to my email address it was created against? Anyone got an ideas or help ?

Please consider supporting Macintosh PC's. This application is something I have been looking for but would like to have the flexibility to control multiple platforms, as I use PC's at work but Macs at home. Thanks.

  9. Hi, First off, I always end up looking for that ultimate admin app in the market. I found it. This setup is awesome! Every option I find that does this is priced for the likes of huge enterprise clients like HP and Google, not a small IT consulting firm. Just ordered the 50 PC subscription and I am loving it. I have a few questions for you. 1. When I open PC dashboard on my pc, it signs in fine. When I open a monitored Pc and select the settings tab, i get the following answer after a few seconds: " Unsupported configuration version, please upgrade the software on this computer." I am running PC Dashboard v2.4 and PC Monitor 2.5 x64. My PC is a windows 7 6…

Is the "Enterprise Server SB Edition" only for the Microsoft Small Business Server edition or is it just how you named the package? meaning you can use it as long as you stay within the 50 servers?

I have 2 machines that failed due to hardware issues and are no longer in use. I have no access to the previous OS so I'm unable to remove the service. How can I remove these 2 machines from the account?

Maybe a stupid question, but I don't get it. Where can I remove a monitored Computer? I've deleted the service on the client - but still see the Computer in the App and the Online Page. By the way - keep up with the very good work!

On one of my machines, an SBS 2008 box, PCMonitorSrv.exe (2.4.1) takes about 30% CPU, while a SVCHOST.EXE instance that appears to be related to it takes about 20%. The SVCHOST instance stops with the PCMonitorSvc, so I'm assuming they're related. When the service is started, it runs 0-5% for anywhere from a few minutes to a few hours; then jumps to 50% (total of the 2 services). To my knowledge, this is the only machine (of 10 so far) that does this; at least it's the only one I've noticed. I'm in the process of adding a "Service" Notification on the other 9 to alert me if the service uses > 10% CPU for > 3 minutes to see how widespread it is. I've restart…

G'Day, I'm really loving your product and so far only have it installed on 2 of my machines. Ideally I would like to put it on all of my main machines here at home which is 4 machines or 5 if I include another laptop. I'm wondering if there is any chance you might consider raising the free usage threshold from 3 to 4 or maybe 5 machines? These days almost all homes with computers have one for each person so that is most likely going to be 4. Raising free usage to 4 or 5 would still not really allow it to be used for free in a commercial environment (which I firmly believe should be paid for) but would allow greater home usage. From this may come more word of…

  19. I'm wondering if I could be explained how security is implemented in this application. I'm basically leaving enough information via the PC-Monitor's server, that if information into the wrong hands, they could take full control over my server and PC's.

Hi, I've noticed that you have to be logged in inorder for the computer to be listed as online on the mobile app. I assumed that if the service is running you shouldn't have to be logged in. But if I log out and check the app, it says the computer is offline.

Thank you guys for this great software! It's been a huge help to me in the past couple of months! I love the rapid development and seamless upgrades! Is it currently possible or in development to be able to change settings at the group level? I'm thinking about things like mail server config in File Browser or services to monitor. Thanks again! Chris

Hi First of all, great job!! These are the kind of apps that keep me going on in my work I was wondering, If I buy a 25 PC subscription and after a month I need to manage other 20 PCs (45 PCs in total) what can I do? do I have to buy another 25 PC subscription or a 50 PC subscription? Also, do the two subscriptions make a sum of PCs? ex. 25 + 50, 75 PC?. Sorry for my english (I'm writing from Italy, Rome) Hope it is not too confusing Thank you for your time. Daniele. Keep up the good work!

I just wanted to say thank you for a great product. We use Kaseya where I work and I can use that on my home machines if I want but right now I am using PC Monitor because it is just so easy and the mobile notifications, as opposed to emails, is more immediate and noticeable. I recommend PC Monitor to friends where Kaseya is either too expensive or just too complex. If I could make one suggestion .... please add some form of remote control other than RDP. At the moment I am using Teamviewer as well as PC Monitor but it would be great to have it all in the one package. Keep up the good work! David.
