Hi All New here, just discovered PC Monitor after years of messing around using several different monitoring solutions to look after 25-30 servers. So far I'm dead impressed with this software and it's associated applications I have a couple of questions 1. When using the desktop monitor application the only way I can get the servers to return to green after a notification is to delete the notification, does the software store a history or log of all the error messages on a particular server, or can I get the server to return to green as soon as the message is read without deleting, this also applies in the Android app. 2. At first everything was just brilliant.. it worked very good but since i shut down my computer and afterwards started my application on my sg2 showed me that the computer is in offline mode ( although it run ?) i pressed to long on the field of my computer ( sg2 ) a new screen opened that read... Remove pc.... and I just klicked on remove.. than i created a new account but now it reads : No monitored computer. HOW can i solve this . your APP is AWESOMMEEE

Have installed PCM on sons machine - fantastic product. However, his internet is time-scheduled, and when it turns off, PCM stops working. What website(s) do I need to allow his machine to communicate with, to keep PCM working. My router can allow exceptions ...

Hey there! Love this software! Very useful! I'm using this to monitor my CPU temperatures because I am Folding @ Home. If the temps get to high, I turn my PC off. But I was wondering how can stop the software? What I mean is PC Monitor shows "The service is running" all the time. How can I turn it off? I don't need it when I am at home. The only way I found to stop it is to select "I don't have an account" and then "Apply" and then when I restart the program, it needs a login to start PC monitor up. Also, how often is my PC's information sent to the internet? Is it uploaded only when my mobile device wants the information, or is it uploaded each, I don't know, 10 …

Hello, I would like to be notified when a particular event is logged in the Windows Small Business Server/Operational log. However, when setting this up in PC Monitor, there is no check box to select this particular log. Am I doing something wrong? Or does PC Monitor just not recognize this particular log? Is there any way to do what I am trying to do? Any help will be appreciated. Rick

I'm wondering how I can add an authorized device to Linux (ubuntu). I imagine this would be through the config.xml. Any details on how this can be accomplished? BTW - Fantastic product!!

Hi, Love the app! But I don't get any hardware details. In the Open Hardware Monitor util, which I see you are using libraries from, all temp and fan speeds show up, but not in PCM. Could this be down to a system setting on my part, or are you not using the libraries to get to hardware details?

Hi, Ive been reading a few topics and seen that the free limit used to be up to 5 computers, I don't have much intention of having more but could do with being able to link up to all 5 is this possible to do with out having to buy a subscription every year? im not using them for business just personal use should that make any difference. How can I create custom groups and move servers into them? By the way just wanted you to know I have been able to accomplish server admin functions quicker using this tool than my own workstation. Just amazing what you have done! CP

Just installed PC Monitor today, great application, the only problem is that on our iPhone monitor CPU usage on the monitored computer is a constant 0, but we know this isn't true as our monitored computer shows different in task manager. Overall though, great app, found it out through Pop Science and would reccomend it to everyone!

Hi Guys, I just tried to install windows updates via my iphone app on one of my servers... How does this work? There's no one logged into the server... how does it perform the updates? What if the windows updates needs user intervention to get by some prompts??... How can I check on this? I"m logged into the server now (on the console) and i don't see any "Windows Updates" activity.... Please advise, thanks!

Hello, I've been using PC Monitor since 5 computers could be monitored for free and this has served me well. PC Monitor is really great. I intend to replace 1 of them since I got my sister a new computer, but I'm not sure I will be be able to add the new machine once I remove 1 of the 5 in use. Will the new 3 machines limit be applied or old users still get 5? By the way, I would like to suggest a "light" subscription of up to 7 or 8 machines. That would cover most of the tech guys family needs (wife, sons/daughters, brothers/sisters, parents..) Regards, Gilson

Firstly - great product. This is just what I am looking for. Secondly, I am currently evaluating the free version. Looking to ugrading to the full version, are there any restrictions on multiple users/logons? Basically, there would be 2 people (myself plus one other), both with Android phones and using the desktop client. Is this possible with the "standard" version, or would we need the Enterprise version? Thanks in advance.

I have set up PCMonitor on 120 pcs, I used my IPAD as the the allowable device. I have need however to authorise another 2 ipads. Is there a quick way of doing of this? I have tried going to registered computers change settings, but cannot see it there? Any help greatly appreciated.

During account creation using the pcmonitor-manager (and also with the text only version) I was having some problems setting up an email address. I have 2 domains that I use for email, and neither seem to be recognised as a valid email address, I ended up making up a gmail.com address to get round the problem. Lots of admin types just about live in vRD. (If you've never heard of it, check it out: www.visionapp.com.) Happy to report that PC Monitor Dashboard 2.7 can be installed as an "External App", and 90% works. The 10% that doesn't is the menu bar. But I don't use the menu bar in Dashboard much after it's installed, so that works for me. Hi, One of my Windows PC's went down for a disk controller error. One time it restarted and another time it shut down. Checking the windows logs I found the disk controller error event and the Kernel-Power event (both in System log event). I trapped the events in PC Monitor but when all this happened again the only alert from PC Monitor was for the disk controller event but nothing for Kernel-Power. Just to understand. If a windows machine goes down windows has just the right time to log the event but I guess PC Monitor has not got time to alert. If this is right I guess I can't trap the Kernel-Power event. I recently found your software and have been very impressed. I would like to know how to make my GPU temperature view able on the iphone/ipad app. I can see the CPU and HDD, but not the GPU.

My account was locked out and while it was locked out I sent a request to reset my password. Once I reset my password this is the error I get now.
