I have installed PC monitor on two linux machines (Ubuntu 11.04) and the program appears to be using a huge amount of memory, between 200MB and 400MB as measured with top, htop and ps. Is this normal? Can it be configured to use less memory? Niall

So, Wake on Lan seems to work as my machine wakes up (being sent from iPhone, outside of network). However, I still get a "failure" notice and then my machine wakes up. Is this a bug, or something else I may have configured wrong. I did change the port from the default "9" to something else in your system settings. Is it possibly also trying to ping old port settings? Just want to make sure my installation is secure. Thanks.

Hello, Let's assume I have configured all the necessary settings that I need using PC Monitor Manager. Does the API allows me to add custom logic such as "If PC X is down, perform my own custom logic"?

Ever since the IPhone update I haven't been able to look at screenshots of my computer. I am also unable to use the webcam function because niether of them show up on my phone menu. But on my laptop it says both are checked off. Am I doing something wrong?

Hi guys, so, i've installed PCM on my Ubuntu Server (10.10) along with a peerguardian-type software called MoBlock http://moblock-deb.sourceforge.net/. So, after i start MoBlock, i get the notification on my phone saying the server is now offline. I can still see my CPU usage and Memory Usage via my Android phone, but it insists that the server is offline. I'm just wondering what do i need to tell MoBlock to allow PC Monitor's notifications to talk between my devices? Please advise. Thank you.

I have a batch script I run from the command line on my machine that does some dsquery & dsmod statements. When logged in as myself, it runs fine. When executed remotely from Terminal, it says the account does not have permission to execute. I know it's possible to do this because my install on my previous machine did it without hesitation. What user account does the software use to execute Terminal commands? Or how can I force the app to use my account?

Hi, Is it possible to execute / run .msi files via the web or iphone app? I have a new machine with PC Monitor installed and now I need remote access to the machine. We use ScreenConnect and I have the .msi installer file on the remote PC but now need it to run to install it. This is a remote PC with no one at the site to run the installer fo rme. 1) Have been using MPCM for a couple of weeks now - great app. One of the machines I was monitoring had a disk crash. I've replaced it, but can't seem to get rid of that machine in my list of monitored machines ... please don't tell me I need to rebuild the machine, to uninstall the software to remove it from the list. 2) Even when I am not running the (Windows) Phone app, it seems to be polling the servers. Is this correct ? Is it continually running in the background ? Can this be disabled, or modified ? I don't want to be racking up data charges all the time ....

Last night i setup my pc and my pc monitor android app to work over the internet and 3g. Last nite it worked flawlessly but this morning it would not wake up my home pc. I kept getting network offline error. I came home from work, booted up my pc and boom! it worked. Why is it inconsistent? I have port 9 udp forwared an im running windowd 7 ultimate with a netopia 3347-02 router/modem with att dsl. I am also using a dyndns static ip updater as well. Thanks for any help

I'd also like to know if anyone has a way of checking if an IP is blacklisted? Hey there! Love this software! Very useful! I'm using this to monitor my CPU temperatures because I am Folding @ Home. If the temps get to high, I turn my PC off. But I was wondering how can stop the software? What I mean is PC Monitor shows "The service is running" all the time. How can I turn it off? I don't need it when I am at home. The only way I found to stop it is to select "I don't have an account" and then "Apply" and then when I restart the program, it needs a login to start PC monitor up. Also, how often is my PC's information sent to the internet? Is it uploaded only when my mobile device wants the information, or is it uploaded each, I don't know, 10 …

Hello, I would like to be notified when a particular event is logged in the Windows Small Business Server/Operational log. However, when setting this up in PC Monitor, there is no check box to select this particular log. Am I doing something wrong? Or does PC Monitor just not recognize this particular log? Is there any way to do what I am trying to do? Any help will be appreciated. Rick
