Every so often the monitoring service stops and i have to manually restart it. Heres the trace log: trace log.txt

Noticed this on a couple of servers but after a restart the pcmonitor service doesn't start. I've double and triple checked that the service is set to automatic start and restart on any failures but still the service doesn't start. Has anyone else had this experience?

In one of oure servers when we launch the configurations manager everything is greyed out. I restarted the service bu no luck we can manage it from another server jsut wondering what could have gone wrong. Thanks

Hi there, Is there a way to monitor your anti-virus installations on your servers with the new update? I know it was mentioned but I not sure if it is something I need to activate or if I should rather just install that plugin.

Hi Having a bit of an issue starting the service This had been installed and working correctly but I think some windows updates were run on the server and I am unable to start the service now Keep getting the error "Unable to start service" when I open the PC monitor manager and try to start the service. Any help much appreciated

Snapshots display as a gray field, no image. Host is Dell PC with Win8 and Logitech QuickCam Pro 9000 with appropriate driver and application (working correctly). Handheld is iPhone 4s with IOS6. Wont display on webpage or Metro App either. Both Screen and WebCam options are set on the Host. Need help to resolve.

OK - I've been using the trial 3 licences for a week or so - and we love it ! So - looks like I need to but some more licences :-) A couple of simple questions I hope: 1) I have seen there is a command line install - but what about configuration - assuming I want the same settings on each server can I copy across a config file from a server I have already setup 2) I haven't seen any option to email (as opposed to push alerts out to registered device) - so I assume it doesn't exist as an alternative ? 3) Sort of related to 2 - ideally what I'd like is some staff to be able to be notified of an alert - but not have the full app on their phone (with ability to…

Hi I currently have 9 PC's monitored, 8 on a business network and my home pc. I'm trying to use the Remote desktop connection feature, but my problem is that all the business PC's are showing the same IP, so if I try to remote desktop it will only connect to the server no matter which pc I select. Is there a setting that I've missed that will change the IP number or something else I'm doing wrong? Thanks Nick

I cannot email a file. The systems say the file was sent, but i never receive it. I I go into the PC Monitor Manager and Send Test Email. I get the following message. See Screen Shot.

This may have been covered elsewhere, but I am trying to figure out how I can manage my remote agents...remotely. I can't get to every system all over the place, and was wondering if the Desktop Manager would let me remotely configure the Agent settings on remote machines. If this is not possible, it would be a great feature, especially for those of us who use PCMONITORS hosted server service. Thanks, Jason Braverman

On all the devices it says that my servers are offline. Yet this is not the case. Also I didn't get a notification that they went offline so I'm guessing something went wrong on your end. The only thing I changed is that I bought a subscription. I hope I just forgot to check some box or something. Thanks in advance for any help you guys can give me.

Hi, I can't log into my account via the website or PC agent as the emails containing my two-factor authentication codes are taking several hours to arrive, meaning that the codes are no longer valid when they do. Looking at the email headers, they seem to be being delayed before they get to my email provider (Gmail). Is there any way that you could disable two factor authentication on my account so that I can log in? Thanks, Andrew

I'm very interested in anyone who has managed to get the PC Monitor Linux service to run on Oracle Solaris 11? Solaris is 100% Linux Binary Compatible, and I am in the process of hacking around to see if I can get it to run and report on a Solaris 11 host (even if it's just rudimentary health status like system up/down, filesystem / network / RAM / ports / NIC etc) - has anyone had a go at this? Pretty much what the topic says - I would figure (hope?) this would never be the case, but worth asking. I assume that setting the monitoring service to "auto update" itself would never cause a reboot of the host computer, correct?

does anyone know of a way to change the way android receives notifications? like for example a backup notification is of low priority and doesnt need to be shown on the phone, whereas the dhcp service on the server being off is a high priority and it would need to be sent to the phone. we get around 40/50 notifications a night just for low priority and would like to narrow this down to just the high priority ones

For the "history" graphs show for things like: - CPU Usage - Memory Usage - Performance Counters What exactly is the time scale for these? It seems like having this available on the graphs themselves would be rather handy.

Currently we are using your paid service and are monitoring at least 20 servers (from memory). An employee of ours has left and the new employee with his new phone needs notifications sent to his phone. He is running PCmonitor on the phone obviously. There is a permanent connection to an American host (IP: 68.65.39.32) address Your company MMSOFT design Ltd.hat but according to the website based in Ireland (Ground Floor 14 Herbert Street / Dublin 2 / Ireland). How can I be sure that my data from the server be read in maintenance mode and be spied. PC Monitor is a powerful tool that can read down to file level data. I downloaded, and created an account to test your software. So far I think it is great but when I tried to test the remote connection potion of the software I was unable to connect. Is this only available to paying customers, or am I experiencing a problem? Also what are your payment options, do you charge monthly or for the whole year?

Hi there, Please stop me if I am wrong, but does your licensing mean I have to buy 5 licenses for ~$50 if I want to go pro for my home 2008 R2 server? I'd love to monitor all my services on my server, but can't justify the money when I can't use the full license. Surely charging $15 for one license would be more sensible? Thanks.

we have a main account and an associated account. is there a way that when the associated account adds a new client as themselves it shows up in the master list of clients and not just there own??

the pin code option for mobile devices is good, but is there a way that the PIN code can be forced onto certain clients?? so say i have an associated account that i want to have limited access to a group of clients (which i have done no problems) and i wanted the account to insert a PIN code in before they get to see the clients, is this possible or could it be? thanks gary

Just got a computer in that had not chimed in in over 109 days. Then noticed the user had uninstall PC Monitor. Is there a way for me to password protect the uninstaller? Another question. If a computer is not on the internet and they install or uninstall software will I get the notifications once the computer comes online? Is there a way to have the webcam take an image when a pease of software is installed or uninstalled. We have field computers that are used by many differnt users finding out what user keeps installing software is becoming a problem.
