General discussions about using Pulseway

  1. Support, I have created a new Organization with the correct Site and Agent Group. No different to my all other Org setup. On my laptop, I can see the new Organization with the Agent. On my PC, the Organization is missing. I've un-installed and installed the Remote Desktop Client and is now on version 8.7.1 My current workaround is using Pulseway Dashboard to access the client remote agent/pc by right-mouse click and Remote Control option. Please advice how to refresh or how I can add the new Organization in my Remote Desktop Client on my PC.

Send an automatic email alert to the administrator whenever a user initiates remote control of a specific computer.

  3. I have about 20 clients who remote in using Pulseway Remote Control. I have three computers I use to remote in to my clients. So far , 4 computers can no longer remote in. I've followed every guide I can find. I have remove and reinstalled the Remote Control software. I have disabled firewalls and switched WiFi providers. Windows 10 and 11 are the same. I have ensured TLS 1.2 is active. I have made the appropriate registry entries. And now I'm at risk of losing my business. I'm in serious trouble, and I have tried everything I can think of. Please let there be someone out there who found the solution or can guide me in the right direction.

Hello all I am getting an error message trying to remote control into some assets. Not all, just some. Any troubleshooting tip? "Could not find the requested active session" Thank all

  5. Hi Pulseway and fellow community, I'm trialling Pulseway on 5 PCs as a possible RMM deployment to 40-50 PCs soon, however Remote Desktop capability is the real decider as to whether or not we will go ahead. With Remote Desktop (Beta), I am able to establish connection with the PCs and open a remote session with no issues - however I am unable to keep the session open for longer than 30 secs-1 min before it freezes and completely drops the session. I am able to reestablish the session shortly after but again, it drops out after 30 seconds or so. Is anyone else experiencing these sorts of issues? The computer I use to connect is connected to a wired network with…

I saw the email that came out today about remote desktop being add and in beta, but I tried this out but all it seems to do is just be an RDP session that needs port forwards open to work. What I'm seeing and what it looks like in the screenshot is two different things. I'm using the dashboard 4.5.2, is that right or am I missing something?

Hi, I have an error message when try to connect the systems behind a Corporate firewall. (see message capture). But, any system that has public IP, it works perfect. Do I need to open specific port for this service at firewall? or allow traffic from specific network? Thanks

  8. Hi, I'm currently using Pulseway for personal use, and I wanted to use remote desktop between my computers. I thought we got two computers with pro free, meaning we can use remote desktop on the two. I only have two computers connected to my account, so that's not the issue. Could you help me figure how to get Pulseway to allow me to use remote desktop?

  9. I have just tried to use the new Remote Desktop client on Windows 8.1. I am at a location which means I am behind a proxy server (MS TMG). I have entered the correct proxy server details into the Settings dialog, but always get "An unknown connection error occurred". I have tried installing the TMG client but that didnt help. Any ideas what might be wrong? G.

Hi I currently have 9 PC's monitored, 8 on a business network and my home pc. I'm trying to use the Remote desktop connection feature, but my problem is that all the business PC's are showing the same IP, so if I try to remote desktop it will only connect to the server no matter which pc I select. Is there a setting that I've missed that will change the IP number or something else I'm doing wrong? Thanks Nick

I am in the process of testing PC Monitor and I noticed Remote Desktop Connection in the dashboard. I completely turned off the firewall on client's computer but it still comes back with error "Remote Desktop can't connect to the remote computer for one of these reasons" My questions are: 1. is it enabled in the free account or do I need a valid paid subscription? 2. is it to control that particular computer just like sitting at it? 3. is it available for a client's computer running other than Windows Pro? Thank you.

Hello everybody I'm currently evaluating Pulseway and it's remote desktop client. We want to monitor several devices and some of them are going to have portrait screen orientation. Unfortunately the remote desktop client seems like it can't handle portrait settings (see attached image). We're running on full HD resolution and it looks broken with both smart resizing switched on or off. Are you aware of this? Any fixes available? Thank you

I am testing the free version for the company I work for to make sure this is what we want. So far this program is perfect for what we are looking for. The only problem is that we have computers out in the field that I need that I need to be able to remote into and I cant get the remote desktop feature to work. When i set it up here in the office on our network I can connect, but when i have a computer setup on a wireless card (different network) I can connect. Is there a feature or a service i need to enable to make it work? I did change to settings for the IP address when it changed networks. Hopefully I can get this issue resolved because this program is awesome and wi…

First off compliments for such a great product that i'll be using for a long time. I understand the remote desktop is in beta however i have not seen any doucmentation on whether multiple screens will be supported. This will pretty much be my deciding factor whether i can go without getting teamviewer... everyone at my company has at least two screens so this makes the feature unusable if i cant see multiple screens. Thanks.

Hello, I have been using the (PC Monitor) Pulseway Remote Desktop on my machine for quite awhile. I decided to uninstall the old pc monitor client to replace with the pulseway, after that I could use the remote desktop anymore. Getting this error; I noticed the file; pcmrdp-agent.dll is missing. I tried forcing the client to update but no luck. All the others pc I have runs Windows 7 they all have the file but not Windows 8.1. When trying adding a file in to the folder I get access denied even tho I'm the admin. So there a easy way to get this fixed?

Hi At the moment I'm running a 30-day trial of Pulseway Enterprise. Our users are working on terminal servers. Is it possible shadow a remote session through the Pulseway App for Windows Phone? I have added one terminal server and enabled "Remote Desktop" in the Pulseway Manager. But in the mobile app I can't see any option for remote desktop. Rgds

  21. I spent a while trying to find this issue here but didn't so I need to ask: How can I ensure the Pulseway service stays on for each of the remote devices in my domain? I set them all up and now many of them are turning off all by themselves. Some won't stay on at all.

  22. A customer switched to a new IT company and I no longer have access to the server yet the PC monitor app is on it and I am concerned they will try to use an application to try and decode the asterisks that you see for the password in the app. Is there any way to remotely uninstall the app or delete the user account info used?

Hello. I no longer need to monitor the 6 systems I was monitoring. I've deleted them from the Web app's Account / Manage Systems section, is that all I need to do? The subscription is valid until June 2022, can I get a refund for the time not used?
