General discussions about using Pulseway

  1. Started by cjs1976,

Hi, I use Pulseway Professional for our own computers. Now I think to change to the MSP Edition and offer the RMM service to some of our customers. I want to ask the people here to share some Pulseway expieriences/impressions with me, to be sure to don't miss anything when making this decission. I really like pulseway, but I know for example that the monitoring of RAID or simple HDD/SSD is not that easy... Thanks for every useful post. Christian.

Hello Everyone, I am currently considering providing internationalization support for my plugins. Is there any interest on this, can this feature help anyone? Thank your for your feedback. Paul.

  3. If I make a change to a policy those changes are not getting applied to the end servers. I have double checked that the correct policy is applied to the correct server under the configuration tab. Any ideas

  4. Hello, We are long-term Pulseway customers but lately the Pulseway client has developed a bug and continuously uses up to 20%+ CPU utilisation. We logged this with Pulseway on the 4th of July this year but they have been completely ignoring the ticket. I regularly reply to the email thread for an update (at least once a week) but I am ignored. The only time I had a meaningful response was when I threatened to cancel our subscription. This was short lived and now I am back to being ignored with no status updates on my ticket. We like the product but we have a handful of servers with this bug and I am simply installing other monitoring products on them. Today…

Hi, Is it possible to configure PC Monitor to send an email notification when a connection on a certain port in established, for example when an RDP or FTP session is established

Hey Guys - First, I love your product - especially the iPad interface. Thanks for the constant updating and addition of new features! I have a question about something that I've tried to locate, but don't know if it's offered. It would be an incredible feature if so... On my home server, I run a few python-based webapps as well as a few other services. Most of these all write to individual text-based log files (one or more) which are in various paths on the PC. Is it possible to set the Pulseway agent up to monitor a log / text-based file in a specific path - and/or - all log / text-based files in a specific path? If so, great! If not, below are the t…

Hi, Has there been any discussion on whether its possible to use Pulseway to prevent devices from upgrading to W11? I can't find anything in the forums. Is anyone using pulseway to manage this update and if so how are you going about it? We're on day 1 of considering this so way behind where we need to be. We have a large proportion registered in intune so we can manage those devices in there. But we also have a lot of standalone devices and pulseway may be our best bet. thanks

So, I'm currently dealing with a pretty urgent issue that unfortunately, I am at the mercy of whenever the devs look into it. None of my tasks will run which means I'm dead in the water for a lot of my custom automation. This is terrible. I assume based on talks with staff over time, that these are something like VPS instances that area spun up? I asked regular Support to reboot my instance for the sake of it as scripts run, but tasks to control them do not, they just immediately say skipped. It's amazing what reboot can fix at times, and then Support can dig in later to figure out what happened, if the reboot works. But I was told no can do, only devs have ac…

  10. Dear All, I'm having some trouble trying to run Windows Powershell commands via PC Monitor (Android App). When I send any command, I get back the following message: "An error occurred when loading the system Windows PowerShell Snap-Ins. Please contact Microsoft Support Services." This is displayed in the PowerShell terminal window inside the PC Monitor app. Has anyone seen this problem before? Or have any ideas how to fix it? I'm running: - one Windows Vista Home Premium SP2 machine. - one Windows 7 Starter machine. I get exactly the same error message when attempting to send commands to both machines. They both have the .NET framework that c…

Hi All, I tried to search the forum/site for an answer to this so please forgive me if I missed it. Can anyone explain the difference between the Pro and Team versions of Pulseway. I near as I can figure the Pro version does everything I need. My set-up is a simple 10 system small business set-up. I don't require any 3rd party services like Connectwise, AV or backups, etc. So what else does the Team version offer that the Pro does not? Thanks, David

  12. Hi I have a four computers on my account. I tried to log onto the PC Monitor website this morning, where I got this error message "access to this service is limited to active subscribers only". The client software is working (PC Monitor Manager) OK and I am receiving notifications on my phone. PC Monitor Dashboard has also stopped working. I do know my subscription has run out but I understand you can have up to 5 computers free for personal use. James

Sorry if this is in the wrong place guys - I couldn't find a dedicated area to your PSA application so figured I'd stick to the general enquiries. Is anyone able to clearly tell me how Pulseway's new PSA solution integrates with RMM? As far as I can tell, so far all that happens is tickets can be automatically raised by RMM notifications. Haven't done a deep dive yet, but I can't even see where a ticket would be raised against a particular enduser/client/company? Is there any other functionality available that I'm not seeing? Appreciating the solution is new, I feel like there is a heap of potential here that hasn't yet been unlocked. For example, it would …

Maybe someone can shed some light on this. Using the PSA system, I have gone several times now into the Service Desk module, selected hardware assets and assigned them to their respective clients. Every 24 hours or so, as I am entering in tickets and trying to assign a hardware asset to those tickets, I am finding that a bulk of the hardware assets are reverting back to my company as the client asignee. I have have to repeatedly go back and re-assign those hardware assets back to the clients. Besides the colosal waste of time, it makes me wonder if any other information is not being retained in the databse. Any clue? Shawn

  15. Hello, When we create a note from the webapp, we have a business process that notifies the client that a note has been added to a ticket, however, when we create a note from an email, it gets added to the ticket, but a notification doesnt go out. How can we configure a business process that emails a client a notification that a note has been added to the ticket (by email)? Thank you, dp

Is there a subforum for the PSA product? I'd be great to have a central place to connect with other users that utilize the offering. Thanks, -Chris

  18. Hello. Just started with Pulseway.... I have several ipFire firewalls that I need to monitor. I have already "tried" a little myself. However with moderate success. SNMP? SSH? I must say that I don't know anything about SNMP. Also I don't know the possibilities... Therefore... to come to a result... - Does anyone happen to have the ipFire - Pulseway constellation in use? - Can someone help me directly? - I would want to pay for the performance! Gladly! I would like to have a solution! # Questions - Is the system online? 5 minutes - alarm - What is the core version? (cat /opt/pakfire/db/core/mine) - CPU, RAM, HDD --> nice, but not necessary. …
