Hi, First off, I always end up looking for that ultimate admin app in the market. I found it. This setup is awesome! Every option I find that does this is priced for the likes of huge enterprise clients like HP and Google, not a small IT consulting firm. Just ordered the 50 PC subscription and I am loving it. I have a few questions for you. 1. When I open PC dashboard on my pc, it signs in fine. When I open a monitored Pc and select the settings tab, i get the following answer after a few seconds: " Unsupported configuration version, please upgrade the software on this computer." How can I reset my account password? I have managed to lock it due to to many failed attempts and cant for the life of me remember the password I set against the account on first creation. I also cant seem to find an option on the site to reset it or send a reminder to my email address it was created against? Anyone got an ideas or help ?

How much data is sent when using notifications, I have a metred internet on my mobile and would like to know if its similar to sending emails, thanks

Hello, I've been using PC Monitor since 5 computers could be monitored for free and this has served me well. PC Monitor is really great. I intend to replace 1 of them since I got my sister a new computer, but I'm not sure I will be be able to add the new machine once I remove 1 of the 5 in use. Will the new 3 machines limit be applied or old users still get 5? By the way, I would like to suggest a "light" subscription of up to 7 or 8 machines. That would cover most of the tech guys family needs (wife, sons/daughters, brothers/sisters, parents..) Regards, Gilson

How can I create custom groups and move servers into them? By the way just wanted you to know I have been able to accomplish server admin functions quicker using this tool than my own workstation. Just amazing what you have done! CP

I'm wondering how I can add an authorized device to Linux (ubuntu). I imagine this would be through the config.xml. Any details on how this can be accomplished? BTW - Fantastic product!!

Hello, I would like to be notified when a particular event is logged in the Windows Small Business Server/Operational log. However, when setting this up in PC Monitor, there is no check box to select this particular log. Am I doing something wrong? Or does PC Monitor just not recognize this particular log? Is there any way to do what I am trying to do? Any help will be appreciated. Rick

Hey there! Love this software! Very useful! I'm using this to monitor my CPU temperatures because I am Folding @ Home. If the temps get to high, I turn my PC off. But I was wondering how can stop the software? What I mean is PC Monitor shows "The service is running" all the time. How can I turn it off? I don't need it when I am at home. The only way I found to stop it is to select "I don't have an account" and then "Apply" and then when I restart the program, it needs a login to start PC monitor up. Also, how often is my PC's information sent to the internet? Is it uploaded only when my mobile device wants the information, or is it uploaded each, I don't know, 10 …

Hi, Is anyone using pcmonitor for checking if webservers are alive, something like open this url and expect this string returned? I'd also like to know if anyone has a way of checking if an IP is blacklisted? Perhaps this should be sent to feature request, but I though that I'd start here and find out if it already is supported and I just had missed the features.

On some systems I am unable to see any databases using the SQL Server module and the iOS app. I have several virtual database servers running different versions of MS SQL Server. On most I can see the list of databases. I have one installation of SQL Server 2008 that I am not able to see any databases from the iOS app. I can see agent jobs, server info and the like, it just reports none found. I understand from elsewhere in forum that you limit a notification to not repeating for the same event until the first one is read and cleared Is there any way to control this at all ? I'm looking at setting up a filtered event notification to see if nightly backups have completed OK / not (i.e. I want a success notification as well as just a failure notification) I can see that not being swamped by events is a good idea - but as I understand it that means if I haven't cleared last nights successful backup event I won't get tonights. Ideally I'd like to be able to set the interval (e.g. don't send the same event within an hour or 12 hours if not cleared etc)…

Hi Guys, I have been looking at the web app to monitor a few things on our servers and I noticed I could look at the bandwidth, but I have no idea what the graph is saying. I guess one colour is sent and the other colour is received? could someone help shed some light on this please? cheers

Planning on playing with this more on my personal laptop, but everytime I run the iPhone Apps, it sends me a notification that the server modules evaluation has ended via email and also a notice on the app itself. This happens everytime I open the app or some other notice comes in. If I disabled all the server modules, how come I still get these notices? *Tried to search on this topic, with no luck*

I am new but so far very excited about the product I have read the online documentation a couple of times but cannot figure out what maintenance mode or service is supposed to do.

Is it possible to set pc monitor to ignore certain updates or types of updates like 'recommended'? Reason being pretty much all machines that I do updates on list things like Bing, windows live etc and I have to uncheck them every time so they don't get installed. Thanks

I got everything installed and setup last night. This morning I started looking at the monitor on my iPhone. I navigated to the Hard Disk section and expected to only see information about my drives and functionality statistics, but to my surprise, I saw a listing of every file on my computer! I navigated to a personal folder and saw some very private files; although, I could not open them at all, which is good. This still really concerns me, and I have to ask if any of my file contents are sent to your servers. Is this the case? Thanks, Tony

Hello, I've reinstalled the software on a rebuilt PC and its been a while since I last used it. My account was recognized and validated but to make changes I need to log in. However, the password is not what I thought and I tried a reset but no emails have come through to my Gmail. Its not trapped in spam either. Should I just start a new account or is there something I am missing?

I have been using PC Monitor for a few months now to monitor my servers behind our corporate firewall and all has been well. Last night, all servers reported being offline which seemed unlikely. As of today, they are still not reporting but I confirmed they are working. I believe that my main office may have some ports offline or blocked but I can't find any documentation on which ports are used by PC Monitor so I can report this issue to my IT group. Where can I find port and communication methods that PC Monitor uses?
