  2. Pulseway allows you to restrict access for Dashboard and Web Application by IP Address so only designated IPs will be able to connect. To add a restriction start Pulseway on a monitored PC and click "Change Account Details". On the account detail you can add IP addresses that are allowed to access either Dashboard or Web App or both.

Pulseway supports Wake on LAN and Wake on WAN over Internet. The mobile application will send a magic packet in LAN while on WiFi. As well, our cloud servers will send the same magic packet to the public IP address on UDP 9 (you can change the port number and assign a different port number for each computer using the Pulseway app installed on your PC, go to System->Wake on WAN over Internet, default is 9). Please make sure that the router forwards those packets in the LAN and that the PC supports Wake on LAN (check BIOS and network interface settings). The only limitation at the moment using Wake on WAN over Internet occurs when our cloud servers have the last p…

Is it possible to set something within PC monitor to automatically restart a server a specific time or to setup a schedule to do this? I know it can be done through schedule tasks on the server its self and then you can monitor the task, but can it be done from within PC monitor?

  7. It occurs to me that I could monitor for an associated eventlog entry for usb device unplugged to catch a removed mouse or keyboard but wonder if there's a more elegant way. Thanks, Bill

  8. Hello, I apologize if this is a newbie question and is answered somewhere else. I tried various searches on the forum and didn't find the answer. Is there a way to change the default (60 seconds) that the system waits for the user to confirm before starting a remote desktop session? I found the setting where it can be turned off/on, but have not been able to find a number of seconds to wait. Thank you! Rob

Good afternoon, We have installed quite a few synologies at customers for which I would like to monitor the free space. I tried with SNMP but I am not completely satisfied with it and the notification from SNMP was not made for this. Is there another way to monitor this? SMB share, mapped drives, ..? Thanks in advance! With polite regards, Chris

I hope this is the right place to post this. I was looking over the different forms for an answer but was not able to find one, and this topic is related to probably all versions of PC monitor other then enterprise. I currently am running PC Monitor on probably close to 15 windows machines right now and just recently noticed that certain computers are no longer reporting stats or notifications. After looking into it a little further it looks like all machines from that location has stopped connecting to the PC Monitor Server. I have been working with a few of our other IT guys and we thought it could be the firewall but was unable to pinpoint the IP address used to tr…

  14. Good Day, I note that running a report for "Installed Applications" (Reporting -> Templates -> Applications) that the data seems to be outdated. If I confirm the list of applications via the Systems -> All Systems -> "Computer" -> Applications, I see an updated list. I assume there is some "data buffer" which is used by the report which is not updated immediately? Is there not a way, that I can instruct Pulseway to re-evaluate all systems data (Applications in my case) for a specific report run - taking into account that the report will then take some time to run which would be fine? Kind regards, Peter

Hi There all, Is there any way to create an policy for multiple endpoint to notify on any started services? On our schools kids play illegal games and we want to terminate these games when they start them, through pulseway workflows. Herefor we need to see if the service of the game is active. On the computer end we can setup service monitoring but we cannot do this global somehow. Hope someone has an smart idea about this

Hey forum, We're experiencing some trouble using the HTTP-GET feature. Our old monitoring system (Nagios) is able to monitor the availability of web sites, more specifically login pages for access points, perfectly well. However, when using Pulseway it gives a notification when it reaches the AP because it has HTTP basic authentication. This is not a problem, if we get that response we know that it is reachable. This should not be seen as a problem and should not give a notification? Could you fix this? Is there a workaround at the moment? - Jaapyse

  19. Hello, I recently installed the PC Monitor app on a Microsoft Surface (Windows RT) device, and the PC Monitor Manager software onto our backup server. I'm quite impressed with the capabilities of this application! It is quite nice to see, in real-time, the various stats of the server, especially on the Surface. Remote management is a snap! One area I am curious about is integration with Microsoft System Center: Data Protection Manager. I doubt I would see such integration any time soon. But is it even possible? As a backup administrator, I'm regularly connecting to the server and checking on backup job status, data source protection, the amount of space available in…

Hi, I'm currently setting up a custom SQL notification query and I'm running in to issues: I am able to test my connection under the "Server Modules > SQL Server" tab, with a user that was created on the SQL Server I am also able to run my query when I press "Executy query". Yet, as soon as this query in ran in the background, I get an error: "SQL Filter MyFilterName has failed to execute in SQL Server on the computer ‘MyComputerName’ in group 'Default'Error Message: The server principal "NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM" is not able to access the database "myDbName" under the current security context. " It seems like Pulseway insist on using…

Does anyone know of a way to monitor the size of specific queues within Windows Message Queueing and of course notify at a given level. Please, no replies about our choice of anti-spam system...!

Hi, I am new to PC Monitor, but it look to me that it is only possible to add management of one SQL Server instance pr. computer. Is that right? And if so ... is support for multiple instances on the list of upcoming futures? It would be very nice, because we have several servers with multiple SQL instances. Best Regards, Martin Stevnhoved Abakion A/S.
