Hi Remko,
You can use the Pulseway Manager app -> Manage Devices to define access policies for each device.
In this way you can block the access on certain systems from specific mobile devices.
With an Enterprise Server, this can also be done by creating user accounts and grant access to only certain systems that are monitored using a system account - this can be done using the Associated Accounts feature.
You can find more info about these two methods in this blog:
http://www.pulseway.com/blog/configuring-mobile-device-access-policies-and-user-accounts
Hope this helps.
Best Regards,
Marius

Chris reacted to itfocusllc in Pulseway Applet
Any chances you guys would consider building a desktop applet that has the look and feel of the phone app? Real quick navigation always on etc.
The web portal is nice but when you are consistently on the road using the phone applet stopping and opening the desktop web portal seams clunky to me. 90% of the time I will return to the phone app (Android) to perform the usual commands.
In our case we have a Rds shared apps that locks up users periodically and we quickly log in and disconnect the user. This function is painful on the web interface. Too many clicks besides the fact it is constantly disconnecting you.
The web interface is great for updating and creating tickets from certain events manually and we absolutely love the feature of Autotask integration. Love the reporting
Thanks for your time,

Chris reacted to Marius in KB: Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP usage
If you plan on managing VMware vSphere from a system that is using Windows Server 2003 or Windows XP operating systems you must follow a few extra steps to get it working due to a known VMware issue with SSL Ciphers.

Chris got a reaction from Marius in Unattended installation for .msi
Hi affer,
You will need to use Orca MSI Editor to remove the shortcuts. Here is how you should do it:
Open the MSI with Orca Go to the Shortcut table and delete the ones you don't want to show Save and close Orca Install the msi and note that the shortcuts are no longer created Regards,

Chris reacted to nullmem in Pulseway to monitor Plex Media Server service
This is a few days old, so I don't know if you figured this out yet, but I will post this anyway.
1. Make sure your add your username and password to this line:
<Account Username="" Password="" UseCustomServer="false" CustomServerAddress="" />
2. Add your hostname to this line:
<ComputerInformation Name="" Group="Default" />
3. in the <MonitoredServices> section add the line:
<Service Name="plexmediaserver" DisplayName="Plex Media Server" IsDaemon="true" DaemonType="UPSTART" Path="" StartParameters="" CanBeStopped="true" Enabled="true" />
If the service shows it's not started in Pulseway, then change DaemonType to SYSVINIT. a couple years ago there was a problem when Ubuntu switched to upstart. I haven't used Plex in a few years, so I don't know if they made a upstart version for Ubuntu. Newer versions of Ubuntu will run most sysv inits just fine and it doesn't hurt to try to see which one works.

Chris got a reaction from Matt in Pulseway Manager - hidden settings
Hi Robert,
Thank you for your feedback. We disagree with preventing administrative users from uninstalling Pulseway from their systems. An administrative user should always have control over installed software. Pulseway needs not to be hidden from the user, would you hide an antivirus product from a user? You need to explain to your users that Pulseway is there to ensure that their system is secure and monitored against unauthorised intrusions and it's not used to spy the user's activity on a system.

Hi Newton,
Welcome to the Pulseway community. We recommend you reduce the user rights to "Limited user" privileges so that they will not have access to uninstall Pulseway. An administrative user account should always have access to manage their systems.

Chris reacted to dmonroe55 in cannot get user login notification
it was a group policy. We didnt have the user logon monitor checked in the group policy because we didn't want to get notified about every computer in the group. We simply turned it on for the pcs we wanted and it was never turned off by group policy. We just turned off the group policy.
