Paul reacted to Mirosław Malinowski in PCMonitorManager.exe removed
Well known for several AV solutions: http://www.gdatasoftware.com/ What is unique to them for now is that they are one of few only companies providing solutions for MS Windows Home Server 2011.
Just opened ticket with them, but no responce yet...

Paul reacted to Daniel Ramsay in Local IP Address
Hi Support,
Firstly I have to say that I really love this program, it has really put a spotlight on efficiency and making day to day server support a breeze.
I also have to commend you on your ongoing commitment to the community in providing updates and improvements.
As for my feature request, is it possible to have a LOCAL UP ADDRESS added either before or after the EXTERNAL IP ADDRESS option.
At the moment I have to fire up the command prompt widget and hit an IPCONFIG to get the address.
A quick visual would help improve remote troubleshooting when getting users to ping servers and such.
Thanks again for the great work
Daniel

Paul got a reaction from Marius in How to speed up refresh rate?
The main reason would be traffic. Faster refresh rates = more data passing through the server = more expenses.
I "think" this can be changed if you own an enterprise server.

Thank you Paul.
A question, when configure the plugin timeout, they are seconds or minutes?

Paul reacted to Mark in How to Uninstall PC Monitor from Mac?
To uninstall it use the following steps:
1. Uncheck "Show at login".
2. Delete PCMonitor from /Applications
3. As superuser (sudo su -) :
launchctl remove com.mobilepcmonitor.PCMonitorHelper
rm -rf /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.mobilepcmonitor.PCMonitorHelper.plist
rm -rf /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.mobilepcmonitor.PCMonitorHelper
rm -rf /var/root/Library/Application\ Support/PCMonitor/
The final 1.0 version will have an uninstaller.

Paul reacted to shakirmanaam in Mobile application login error
I can sign into my new account from a browser. But, the mobile application installed in my blackberry playbook always shows "invalid username and / or password (202)".
What should I do now?

The PC Monitor account username is different from the forum one.
Check out this guide to create a monitoring account:

Paul reacted to nugged in Install PC Monitor on W7 x64: Error 1001. InstallUtilLib.dll: Unknown error.
Thanks Paul. I got it implanted PCMon into mine WS and working.
But not exact as described there in your post, because I need to install x64 version, so I done that in that way:
1. Ran PCMonitor_x64.msi install.
2. When that mine error 1001 showed I didn't pressed "OK" but walked into "C:\Program Files\PC Monitor\" folder and copied all from there to temp folder.
3. Then I pressed "OK" on error message window, all installation rolled back, folders killed too, etc. But now I have full installation copy and BTW signed, etc, so:
4. I moved from temp back all to
"C:\Program Files\PC Monitor\" 5. Ran AS ADMIN (with elevated privileges): C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\InstallUtil.exe "C:\Program Files\PC Monitor\PCMonitorSrv.exe" 6. Reg updated with: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run] "PC Monitor Operations"="C:\\Program Files\\PC Monitor\\pcmontask.exe"
7. and this: http://pastebin.com/Gr0E8E1v (yes, warning that it's public pastebin, btw for now seems clean).
8. Started C:\Program Files\PC Monitor\PCMonitorManager.exe and successfully started service, phew.
It's, of course, didn't have install/uninstall info and etc but I leave it.
To developers: Maybe trouble comes when installing 64-bit on previous incorrectly uninstalled x86 version, so x64 calls to 86 InstallUtil or so?
Because of course better to get correct install/uninstall so I want to have solution if anyone meet something same later.

Paul got a reaction from Cptrico in Session Control Plugin 1.3
I am sorry but the API doesn't expose such feature, if you want I can add on the opened file details page an email button however this would work if:
I add email configuration to the plugin configuration form and you will have to configure it in order for it to work.
PC Monitor's API is getting changed to expose email sending methods.
I'm going to wait for a response from MMSoft to see what they think of this and I will post back with the results.
PS: Also if you would like to email to someone that is not pre-configured in the plugin's configuration form you will have to wait until API v3 will get released as it will include input boxes which will make it possible for you to write the email address you want to send.

Paul reacted to Marius in Unattended install
http://forum.pulseway.com/topic/332-unattended-installation-for-msi/ -
Paul reacted to Marius in Unattended installation for .msi
Pulseway msi files support unattended installation.
Pulseway_xNN.msi /qn config=FFF configpassword=PPP
where:
FFF - The UNC path for the configuration file (required)
PPP - The password for the configuration file
or:
Pulseway_xNN.msi /qn username=UUU password=PPP group=GGG server=SSS
where:
UUU - account username (required)
PPP - account password (required)
GGG - group name (optional). If not specified it will be "Default"
SSS - dedicated server address - used only if you have a Pulseway Enterprise Server and it's required in this case.
AD Group Policy can now be used to install the software. After the installation the Pulseway service will start automatically and you will be able to see the computer in the computer list.
The next version will add support for Computer Configuration Policy - the Pulseway Agent will contact the server to read and assign the policy assigned for it's specific group or a general policy.

Paul reacted to Marius in Removing a machine/online activity of phone app
If it's your PC, you can uninstall the app. That poses the question how a "hacker" managed to install the app in the first place.

Paul reacted to Cptrico in Session Control Plugin 1.3
Hi Paul,
Glad that you could use some of it
It's strange that you are having these issues then. I think when I created the two scripts I was on Windows 7, so they should defiently also work there(workstation), so properly also on Server 2008R2, which Nick123 also confirms this in his post.
http://forum.pulseway.com/topic/319-session-control-plugin/page__view__findpost__p__1389
Let me know if I can assist in anyway.

Paul got a reaction from Cptrico in Session Control Plugin 1.3
Hello Johnni,
My plugin is 98% based on the openSessions script from your plugin so I can tell you for sure that if something is not working on my plugin you will have the same problem with the script.
I am installing a SBS 2011 and 2008R2 right now to perform more testing.
Paul.

Paul reacted to digbyp in Session Control Plugin 1.3
Great work on this plugin and look forward to the command option.
I have tried on
Windows 2003 Std = Works
Windows 2008 R2 - Not work (6.1.7601)
Windows SBS2011 - Not work (6.1.7601)
When I say not work, what happens is tap List Sessions and on SBS2011, it shows (3 times) computername$ and then what looks like a MAC address underneath. Unlike WIndows 2003, which shows User name and IP address. On Wind 2008, it just showed 1 entry computername$ with MAC address
So for me, I see MAC instead of IP address
regards
Paul

Hello ,
Session Control allows you to view active sessions on Windows server machines and their associated files. No commands are currently implemented but I have in plan on adding a few like (Close sessions, List Shares, Delete Share).
Please take your time and read the 'readme.txt' file as it explains everything you need to know about installing, using the plugin.
My release is open-source bound by no license. That being said you can freely modify, distribute, claim as your work, sell and / or include in your copyrighted material as long as it doesn't breach Pulseway's license or terms and conditions.
Download Link: PaulCsiki.SessionControl.zip. (Version 1.3).
Changes Since 1.2
Added support for Windows Server 2012+ Changes Since 1.1
Fixed a bug where newer operating systems would not be recognized. IP address that resolve to a hostname will now print out the hostname along with the IP address. Any feedback and plugin ideas will be appreciated.
