SQL: Don't warn about longrunning BACKUP queries
Chris replied to Martin Stevnhoved's topic in Feature Requests
Hi Martin, 5 ... 4 ... 3 ... 2 ... No ETA is available at this moment but it's going to be at the beginning of June. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support -
Hi, Welcome to the Pulseway community. While we don't have support for offline computer configuration changes, we do support creating a policy that takes effect in all systems part of the group. To manage Pulseway Group Policies (not to be confused with GPOs) open Pulseway Manager on any systems and go to Manage Systems -> Manage Group Policies. From there you'll be able to change some settings centrally for all systems part of the group. If a system is offline, it will pick up the Group Policy change next time it connects to the server. Please note that Pulseway Group Policies take effect at runtime and are not reflected in the local configuration of the system (they take effect but you don't see them in the local Pulseway Manager's configuration). We plan on improving the configuration mechanism and procedures of the agents in the future to allow offline changes of agent configurations. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support

Plugin to monitor CPU/GPU (temp, fan, voltage, power consumption)
Chris replied to ZMachine95's topic in Windows Client API
Hi Martin, We strongly believe that our hardware monitoring library supports a wide range of chipsets is capable of reading most modern sensors. We do agree that there is room for improvement on the proprietary technologies that large OEMs use but we plan on adding direct support for each RAID adapter family in future releases. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support -
Hi, Welcome to the Pulseway community. Pulseway supports Android 2.2 (or higher) so it should continue to work on your Samsung Note 1. Can you send an email to support [at] pulseway [dot] com and our level 2 support technicians would be glad to assist you with your problem. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support

Hi Martin, Thank you for your feedback. We've added Windows Azure Backup on our internal todo list. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support

Hi, It looks like your device doesn't respect the SNMP convention by sending an empty IpAddress body (0x40, 0x00). That violates the standard, as the result should be a Null body (0x05, 0x00). IpAddress is defined in RFC2578, which is strictly of 4 bytes. That's why SNMP checks against 4 bytes. The check against 16 bytes is for IPv6 addresses. Can you try to update the firmware of the device to see if fixes the issue? Regards, Chris Pulseway Support

Hi, We apologize for the confusion that Pulseway Manager causes in regards with the Group Policy mechanism. We plan on improving the agent configuration by moving it to the upcoming HTML5 web application. This will definitely support Group Policy visibility so it's a feature that is coming in the future. Veeam Applications aware and client 4.7.4 - Cause Crash
Chris replied to cmaciag@charlottelaw.edu's topic in Bugs
Hi Clark, Welcome to the Pulseway community. The windows server 2008R2 that's being reported as a windows 7 is most likely running with the same identifier as the windows 7 machine. Did you import the Pulseway configuration on that machine or is it a cloned VM? To fix this stop the Pulseway service and delete the ComputerIdentifier registry entry from HKLM\Software\MMSOFT Design\PC Monitor and then restart the service. You should see a duplicate instance with the same name (delete the offline duplicate) and now it should correctly report the OS name. If this doesn't fix the problem, let me know. Regarding the problem with Veeam backup, this is not something that we can help you with. You should address all Veeam issues with Veeam support as they will be able to assist you further. Pulseway is not interfering with other software running on systems so we strongly believe this is not related to Pulseway. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support -
Hi, Does your file server require NTLM authentication for shared folder access? Keep in mind that the Pulseway service runs as the LOCAL_SYSTEM account. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
-
Hi Darryl, We plan on introducing the StorageCraft backup report as well and we already have on our todo list to do automatic report generations with a configurable occurrence. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support

Hi Fabian, Welcome to the Pulseway community. General questions - Is the any possible to create/write our own plugins for linux? Or only windows? Plugins are only for the windows agent, however you can use the REST API to create cloud instances. We plan to support linux plugins in the future as well. - Is there an german distribution/support? No, not at this moment. - For the Windows client is the documentation nearly perfect, is there any documentation for Linux client? The linux sample configuration file is thoroughly documented as well. Can you let us know what we missed in the linux documentation? - Is there a way to put groups in groups? * Like UNIT1/linux, UNIT1/windows UNIT2/linux and UNIT2/windows We don't have support for sub-groups at this moment but with the Pulseway Enterprise Server you can create a user account per customer and then have groups which is basically the same thing. Specific linux monitoring questions: mySQL (Linux) - Database Status - Test Connection - SQL Queries and analyse results MySQL (and MariaDB) server module is on our Roadmap. Oracle Database 11gR2 (Linux) - Status tablespace capacity - Test connection with user and specific sid I've noted the request and we will consider it for a future release. KVM/Qemu (Linux) - Status VM Guest I've noted the request and we will consider it for a future release. Linux - Harddisk SMART Values This is planned for a future release. - Software RAID status Also planned for a future release. - Check Ports This is already supported by the linux agent. - Temperatur, fans like the nagios check_sensor plugin Planned for a future release. Backups (Linux) - Check file timestamp? For this we plan on introducing a way to send notifications from a script so that you can write a cron job that does custom checks and then if needed, send the notification. Mailserver (Linux) - Check SMTP and IMAP Connection Can be achieved with the port monitoring feature. Update check Linux distributions - Ubuntu (apt-get) - Suse (Zypper) Both and yum is already on our todo list. SNMP - Enterprise Version required? No, SNMP server module will work just fine with the Professional plan. - Every device one license? No, you consume a license unit for each agent / cloud instance. If an agent monitors 100 SNMP enabled devices it will still consume only one license unit. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support

Hi Rasmus, I just received an update from the development team. We have resolved the issue you are experiencing and it will be included in the next release. I will send you a PM when we released the update so you can test it out. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
-
Hi Rasmus, Can you open a case with support [at] pulseway [dot] com? I will escalate it to the operations team. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
-
Hi, This is a great idea, I'm moving this to Feature Requests as it's not a feature we currently support. We like the idea of having scripts send notifications to Pulseway and we will be adding it in the future. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
-
Hi, Thanks for your update. All Pulseway server modules require an active subscription, you can purchase one here. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
-
Hi, Pulseway requires your subscription identifier in order to connect to Azure. If you don't have one, you will not be able to use Pulseway to monitor your Azure virtual machines. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
-
Hi Rasmus, We believe that your Enterprise Server hasn't updated yet. Can you run 'iisreset' to force an update on the enterprise server host? Wait for five minutes then restart the agent on one system and see if this fixes the problem. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
-
Hi, The feature is still in the development queue. It will be added by the end of Q2 2015. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
-
Hi, We don't expose the notifications in any of the available APIs at this moment however we have this on our todo list and it will be added in the future. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
