  1. Hi, Here are the answers to your questions: a) Notifications Understand that there are 2 types of the notifications - PUSH and EMAIL. Have been able to enable them using the PW Manager. If both are enabled, does that mean all devices in my account that are PUSH capable will receive these PUSH notifications while at the same time, EMAIL notifications will also be sent out? Yes, that's correct. Notifications - Email I am only trialing the professional version, not enterprise. Understand that one is able to customize the email notifications in the enterprise edition, specially, what can be customized? Subject? Body? Footer? You can customize the notification email template (body + footer) and you have the option to insert the notification message anywhere in the template by simply inserting a token. c) Web Access http://my.pulseway.com is a little heavy. Note on the roadmap that a HTML5 revamp is on the works. Any ETA? We agree with you, Flash is a deprecated technology. We are working as we speak on a HTML5 revamp of the web application. While there is no official ETA, we don't think it's going to be a very long waiting time. d) Inventory Report This seems to be lacking. (Or perhaps I can't seem to find it). How do the rest carry out inventory reports i.e. in our line of work, we need to provide inventory reports (hardware/software) on a quarterly basis and PW doesn't seem to be able to fulfill this? How do the existing users of PW fulfill this? Pulseway can do a part of an inventory report (Software report is supported and Audit/Executive Reports provide a wide range of system information however with the upcoming HTML5 web application we will think on improving our report systems. 2. Hi, Welcome to the Pulseway community. Are you using the Pulseway Professional or the Enterprise plan? Pulseway Remote Desktop is currently supported only on the windows platform and you also need to have a trial subscription or a paid subscription to be able to use it. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
  3. Hi, Welcome to the Pulseway community. Please PM me the hostname and port of the service that uses the wildcard certificate (if it's in the DMZ) and we will investigate the issue. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
  4. Hi Darryl, VSS handle locks do not interfere with normal I/O operations of the operating system, they are only used to denote that there is a VSS operation in progress. We strongly believe that leaving the hard disk monitoring enabled will cause no harm to any I/O operations the operating system performs. As stated in my previous post, the handle locks may only interfere with third party applications that don't check if there is another VSS operation currently in progress. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
  5. Hi Aaron, Can you please contact the support team (support [at] pulseway [dot] com)? I will escalate it to the L2 technical support. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
  6. Hi, Check your route table to see which gateway is used for the 0.0.0.0 network and you will see which is the NIC that Pulseway uses to connect to the internet. Pulseway follows the convention to respect the route table for outbound connection. Use the following command to check your route table: route print Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
  7. Hi, The login command is used for logging into the operating system (so startup application can kick in and operators in front of the system can use the console session without having to know the access credentials). Regards, Chris Pulseway Support

  15. Hi, Welcome to the Pulseway community. It's possible that your operating system doesn't have the Digicert Global CA certificate. Download the certificate from here and install it in the Trusted Root Certificate Authorities certificate store under the Local Machine account using mmc. Download url: https://www.digicert.com/CACerts/DigiCertGlobalRootCA.crt Regards, Chris Pulseway Support

  18. Hi Darryl, This doesn't interfere with windows VSS but might interfere with third party applications that rely on VSS to run backups. Windows VSS backups queues up operations so if there is another process running VSS operations it will not crash, however some third party backup solutions don't seem to handle existing locks. 19. Hi, Q2 2015 ends in 31th of August, we don't think this will be ready by the end of this month. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
  20. Hi, What system are you trying to wake? What operating system it currently runs? Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
  21. Pulseway's sensor monitoring feature may cause VSS locks during notifications checks and may interfere with VSS backups. To prevent VSS locks you can disable hard disk sensor monitoring from Pulseway Manager -> System. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support

  23. Hi Henrik, We plan on introducing custom access levels in the upcoming HTML5 web application. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
  24. Hi, What we normally do to prevent unintended offline notifications on laptops is disable the Power Save feature on the network adapter. We'd rather not prevent the network adapter to sleep from our software as there may be some clients who don't wish this to happen. Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
  25. Hi, Welcome to the Pulseway community. You cannot use an online port checker to test the WoL port as it's an UDP port (that are connection-less). Also please note that if you disable the firewall you may have disabled the NAT triggering rules as well. Try adding your system to the DMZ zone temporary and see if it changes anything (do not leave it like this!). Regards, Chris Pulseway Support
