Feature Requests

On any computer, let us select all Ports that are currently listening. On Windows boxes, if Windows Firewall is running, allow us to narrow that choice to all inbound ports open in Windows Firewall.

Fantastic software! I've been wanting this exact type of product for years now! I've got a couple of requests... Exchange DAG/database Monitoring: Viewing the status of databases and copies (healthy, mounted, suspended, ect) and being able to mount or activate them. This can all be done via PowerShell which I see is on your roadmap. Sort Processes by users (beneficial on Terminal Servers) or in the users logged on section, show processes by that users selected and have the option to kill. Once again great product! Planning on migrating many of my clients over to it! Roadmap looks impressive!

Currently, when I view an Event, then close it to return to the Events list, the list returns to the latest Event. This means that when I've scrolled down through (say) 20 "pages" of Events to get to the Event I want to view, I then have to scroll down those same 20 pages to get back to the next Event. This makes the Event log feature nearly useless unless it's a very recent Event. When I close an Event, please return me to the same page from which I opened it.

I would like to suggest that a ticker gadget be made for Windows 7. I would love to monitor my systems, but dont want to take up alot of space on my screen. This would be great if it was scalable.

Hope these are inspiring. --Notifications to add: - Would it be possible to detect the difference between a Sleep and Hibernate (for a suspended state) I am pretty sure windows broadcasts a WM message, or sends it to some WndProcs or something similar to decypher the difference. - Under the users section, could you add: When a user locks the computer (and report the user name that locked it) When a user unlocks the computer (and report the user name that unlocked it) - Supporting the 12 hour clock would also be nice, since I am use to that, and its easi…

Hello, I've been thinking these days about a way to know the latency between the host computer and the end device, this feature can be useful in identifying lag spikes and network functionality between a monitored server and mobile device's network (the one you're testing). This can be performed in a series of ping tests between the host and mobile's network. This can be troublesome if the router or firewal on mobile's end is blocking ICMP requests. Let me know what you think about it. This would be a great tool when you need to connect vpn clients in a new network to know how bad it will work . Paul.

I'd like to be able to set Event Log notifications for logs in the "Microsoft" folder & subfolders on Win 6.x. (And other vendors' folders, if found on the system.)

Ok, I know I've been requesting a lot .. lol but I love this software and can't help but think of things that would make my life easier as a network administrator while I'm using it... so please dont take my "wants" as a criticism... I would love some type of customized short cut page/tab.. Currently, to see my locked out users I have to navigate through 4 levels and same with VMWare and IIS stuff.. Do you think it would be possible to add the ability to "pin" or "bookmark" our favorite sections? As user I would like to see the next or previous event in event log from currently displayed event detail so I can check event log faster. Thank you.

Hi Thanks for a great app i have been using it now for almost 4 months and think it is one of the best monitoring systems i have used Not sure if anyone has asked but it would be great if we could log events server stats notifications etc to a lcoal database eg an access database from the dashboard App This would allow us to do automatic server reporting for my clients eg average server loads, Uptime stats etc Thanks again for the App Cheers Peter

An option to download and delete a remote file would be awesome. There are a lot of files which can't be previewed and would be cool to download them from wherever I am and use the corresponding application.

I think it would be good to add Maintenance option for whole group of computers. Often one group is a HOST and 5-10 VM machines so having host offline starts 50 messages popping out :-)

i have several techs who have pcmonitor on their phones and manage my customer systems. is there somewhere where i can see a log of what actions they are peforming from there phones etc. Ex. The previous solution we used for monitoring and alerts was a home-made application which uses WMI queries to monitor systems on the network. Mobile PC Monitor is a much more robust solution, but I would be interested in having the option to add "agent-less" computers by adding them to an existing computer with PC Monitor installed, defining which objects to monitor on the remote system (a workstation or laptop), then having that remote system appear in Mobile PC Monitor and the Dashboard application as a normal PC.

I noticed that there is a hide known system processes option. But even though I have that checked, it still shows PCMonitor.exe in the running system processes. The security in which this software has is very nice. But the ease of someone just pressing ctrl, alt, del and ending the process altogether seems to defeat the purpose of the security. Is there any possible way to add such a feature that either the processes simply do not show or not allow a user to end the process in the way that ie. 'System Idle Process' will not allow you? Or maybe there is already a way this could be done? Please let me know. Thank you.

Hi - is it possible to show why a pc is not online ? eg offline(hibernated), offline(suspended) etc ?

I'm not sure if this is able to be done, but a WSUS module would be awesome. Something that would let us sync up the servers and approve updates. Combined with the existing ability to install updates from PC Monitor, that entire part of my job would be able to be done from a phone.

I was wondering if there was a plan to monitor website like the ping check but it would go onto a website and look for a specific string of text every X minutes to make sure it is loading correctly. Maybe it could even be a plugin? This would be great and we could use this for all our monitoring not just the base servers. Thanks Allan
