Need to search ticket to find work done that is posted in tech notes.
We are having issues finding work performed for clients in the PSA search.  The issue is that the ticket “Title” and “Details” do not always include the data you are searching for.  (ie. When working with a supplier, we get info from them (ticket numbers or data) that we put in a ticket and can not search for.)
It would be nice to also search the “Time Logs” – Notes and Internal Notes fields for key words to find data.

We'd like to use workflows when a specific eventlog item is triggered.
Now everything will send by email if you use workflows.

It is possible to send an email when a new system is registerd. It would be nice if you can also have a item in the workflow which states the total of the specified group.
    Thanks

You can do both of these things already in regards to triggering workflow off specific event log item as well as sending an email on new system registered.  The only thing it doesn't do is the total in the group.

Hello, I have the exact same problem. When I'm trying to go to pulseway.com (on Chrome with LAN connected), I get kicked out for "403 - Forbidden: Access is denied". Every other website on the planet is working just fine, so I don't undestand how this bug isn't fixed since two years ago!
I would really recommend looking at this error to maybe get some more customers. (I can't go to any page, so no downloads, log in etc.)

    Hi,
    Have you tried this: https://intercom.help/pulseway/en/articles/5488944-oauth2-0-for-microsoft-o365-with-psa-email-parser
I have just setup a email parser here and it seems to work.

Jamie Taylor reacted to Mark G38 in What do the numbers under the System Name represent?
    @BurseyC It's 100% the system uptime.
#1 rule, Never trust an end user.  They don't enough to be able to accurately say one way or the other in most cases. To an end user, turning their computer off every night could mean sleep mode, hibernation, logging out, or turning off the monitor.
#2. In Windows 10, a shutdown doesn't actually clear the system up time if Fast Startup is enabled (which is the default setting).  Only restarts clear the uptime in this scenario.  You can disable this or force reboots.

    Thanks Mark,

This client does not want me rebooting the computers to apply updates because it might disrupt the Users.  My idea was to use the System Up Time as a quick visual gauge, are users getting & applying updates on a regular basis by the uptime being under 3 days.  I realize that the quick visual gauge was no guarantee of no patching errors, but good to know that users are rebooting / shutting down their computers every few days.
Looks like that is not going to work so It's either:   Patch Management - History  OR  Reporting - Templates - Patching - Sample: Patching for All Systems
Thanks Jamie and Mark, appreciate the effort.

    Hello,
I would like to enable "Create Restore Point before installing" in Patch Management > Policies > My Policy
This policy is run in a schedule. However because of storage concerns I would like it to remove the previous restorepoint before creating a new one. (It would even be better if it is possible to keep 3 restore points and only deleting the oldest one.)
Is this possible either with a script or in some other way?
    Thanks in advance!

@Circumflex Are you strictly looking for a script to be able to do this? Because you can set storage limits in Windows for restores, and it will simply store as many as it can up to given limit, and then start deleting older ones to make room for the latest ones.

    Hi Folks,

My first post,  please be gentle.
When I look at the Systems, on my mobile app or via the web interface, you get something like this, if the machine is online:
    Craig - HP
    Windows 10 Pro(21H2)
    5 days, 0 hours, 44 minutes
I am interpreting this to mean the length of the time the system has been turned on.  I had users who has 30-60-100 as their days number.  I sent an email to all users, please reboot your computer every day or two, this will make sure the software updates are done in a timely manner.  Two users responded, they turn their computer off every night, but their "days" numbers are  showing 12 and 17.
I checked the manual and it did not say what the Days, Hours and Minute numbers represent.
    Please enlighten me?

    Thanks,

    Craig

I would like to see additional 3rd Party Patching Options made available, specifically one that I would find useful in my own environment would be Microsoft Power BI. Currently this is a product that we must manually patch through PDQDeploy, as Microsoft doesn't offer any type of automated update of this product through things like WSUS/Windows Update.
They no longer offer a .msi download (only .exe) so I can't configure it as a Custom Title.

@Randula All you need to do is log onto 1 machine that has the Veeam and create the needed event log monitor through the Pulseway Manager on the local machine, than export that.
Go into Policies on the PWA and it allows you to import there.  It will the apply to all machines under that policy.  I have several custom alerts set up using a custom event log that I created and write to, and this is how I had to do it.  I have a "dev" machine that I use to create and test alerts and export from there into my policies for my clients.

    Hi,
My objective is to monitor Veeam backup and agent jobs in the most efficient way.
Since there's no feature to monitor Veeam backup, the only way I know is to make use of Windows Event logs. When I tried to setup a new policy I found out that Pulseway web app only allows you to monitor "Application, Security and System" event logs. Problem is Veeam event logs are stored in a separate section under Windows event logs (Application & Services logs -> Veeam Backup). So according to my understanding this wouldn't work for Veeam.
The other possible way of doing this is to configure to monitor Veeam backup event logs from the Pulseway Manger in a server. Though this would work, implementing this is a repetitive task when there are many servers to be managed. A policy compared to this looks way less time consuming and more easier to manage.
What I want to know is there a more efficient way of getting this done other than configuring pulseway manager to monitor Veeam event logs in each server?
    Thanks,
    Randula.

Jamie Taylor reacted to Mark G38 in How to start an application via a script using powershell
@Greg Candido I'm going to guess by now that you've probably have resolved this perhaps with one of the given methods.  But I wanted to bump this thread because of another way to accomplish this, which is actually probably easier than the other methods suggested, and it will work well for others needing to run scripts as users.
There is a PS module on PSGallery called RunAsUser which allows you do just that.  You can very easily implement this and run through Pulseway.  As an example, using the same scenario I did above where I wanted to launch Chrome as the user, look how much less work this is lol.
    ###Check if module is installed and if not, install it### if (!(Get-InstalledModule | Where-Object { $_.Name -eq "RunAsUser" })) {     Install-Module RunAsUser -Force }   ###Whatever code you want to run as the user### $ScriptBlock = {     Start-Process "C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" }   Invoke-ASCurrentUser -ScriptBlock $ScriptBlock
Adding link to the module for reference: https://github.com/KelvinTegelaar/RunAsUser

Happy to help and yes, sorry about that should be reg_sz as you mentioned.

Jamie Taylor reacted to Mark G38 in Possible to prevent windows 11 upgrade?
@Gregory Candido That's correct. It will apply to ALL patch policies you have in place.  You can create rules for new ones as well yes.
However, you can also do the registry entries as mentioned previously.  They will prevent auto updates to anything past what you set.  Obviously, this may need to change as Windows 10 continues to release updates, but we will have to wait and see if they alter version numbers so that Windows 11 is different from Windows 10 in that regards.
For now, you can script these reg entries or deploy via GPO if you have an AD environment.
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\WindowsUpdate.
Create or update the Dword TargetReleaseVersion to 1.
Create or update the Dword TargetReleaseVersionInfo to 21H1.

I think this is supposed to be a String rather than DWORD.

We don't have an AD environment but I'm still able to use automation within Pulseway to make all of this happen. Thanks @Mark G38for the help!

Is there a way to automatically tag computers that have been offline for a certain length of time?  If so, would it be possible to remove them so I don't have to scroll through each list?

@JoeS In light of what Paul mentioned, you could set up a custom event log alert to monitor the backups through Pulseway in the meantime.

    Hi Joe,
You can't. Pulseway uses PowerShell cmdlets to integrate with Windows Server Backup which are not supported on Windows Server 2008R2.
