Linux installation and configuration

  1. Hi, I installed pulseway to my arch linux machine, the registration went fine. The machine is visible under "Account -> Manage Systems" and also "Sites" menu. However it is not visible under "Systems -> Systems" and also keeps sending me notification "There was an error retrieving the notification." I have tried to go through logs etc. however I cant find the problem. Can anyone tell me what seems to be the problem. Funny thing is that I have a debian server in the same network and I do not have any problems with it. UPDATE: nvm, found the problem, I have gone over the device limit. It would be nice if the notification would also tell t…

  2. I am trying to configure Pulseway on my Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS machine, but I'm having issues getting it to recognise systemd services. The services I want to monitor are smbd, plexmediaserver and clamav-freshclam. Regardless of what configuration I use, none of these services are even recognised by Pulseway let alone monitored. I have also tried setting each service as "NONE", "UPSTART" and "SYSVINIT" but nothing seems to work. The strange part is that ssh is monitored despite the fact that it's configuration is identical to the others. Here is a screenshot of my configuration: Can someone please help me out here? Is there something I'm missing? …

  3. Hello there, I was in the process of configuring my Pulseway agent on a VPS running Ubuntu Server 20.04 and I ran in this interesting bug. Even using the sample config provided by the agent, uncommenting the Ping Responses bloc throws this error in the log, and prevents the service from starting. vps pulseway: Starting Pulseway Daemon version 6.5 (2019082205) vps pulseway: Configuration: Values for 'Milliseconds' attribute at 'PingResponse' node 10.6.0.53(1) should be between 1 and 1000 vps systemd: pulseway.service: Main process exited, code=exited, status=1/FAILURE The PingResponse bloc in /etc/pulseway/config.xml looks like this: <Ping…

  4. Hello, I have just registered and configured two Linux-based systems (both openSUSE Leap 42.3) and have been able to receive notifications about system down/up events as well as notifications about services not being started. This works perfectly well. What received my attention is that: * Shutdown notifications are not being sent. I have found out on this forum that this may be caused by the event being sent after the network interface has been taken down, so I am just ignoring it. Nonetheless: can you confirm this behaviour? * Notifications about user login events are being sent correctly, whereas notifications about user logout events …

  5. Hi. I have a CentOS machine that I've been trying to get pulseway working on. I could not find anyone having the same problem. I have successfully installed pulseway, or at least the system thinks so. I edited the config file and removed the sample text from the name. However, when I attempt to start pulseway, the terminal gives me no indication of success or failure. However, when I check the systemctl logs, it claims that pulseway failed to start because of a missing file. I searched for the file, and it was indeed there. Can anyone help me with this? Here's what it says: "delta systemd[11600]: Failed at step EXEC spawning /usr/sbin/pulsewayd: No s…

Hello, For certificate checking I've noticed /var/log/messages is being spammed with the following (real domain removed): Jul 2 08:17:07 streamserver pulseway: Check SSL certificate: Identity for xxx.xxx not verified. Error: ERR_UNABLE_TO_GET_ISSUER_CERT_LOCALLY Jul 2 08:17:07 streamserver pulseway: Check SSL certificate: Expire date for xxx.xxx is Mon Sep 28 05:54:04 2020 Can someone guide me how to fix this? 8. I have installed the latest Pulseway agent onto a newly installed Ubuntu server and after a couple of issues getting the server registered i was able to do so, this was due to it not having a config.xml file after intallation I renamed the config.xml.sample and added my details and this now shows in my dashboard. Now that the server is showing in the dashboard it keeps dropping on and offline. The server has a stable internet connection and a windows 10 machine on the same network is not having an issue with dropouts. Any ideas as to what could be causing the issue are welcome.

I have set it up and it works. But it keeps going offline. The fact that it works temporarily indicates its not an issue with my router settings. I do have a proxy set up on Unraid but that is through a docker container which only applies to certain programs. I have tried disabling it and is still has the same issue. No VPN set up. This is the error coming up on the Unraid log May 26 14:20:18 Loki pulseway: Error while registering online:SOAP 1.1 fault SOAP-ENV:Server[no subcode]#012"Timeout"#012Detail: connect failed in tcp_connect() May 26 14:20:50 Loki pulseway: Error sending computer details: SOAP 1.1 fault SOAP-ENV:Server[no subcode]#012"Timeout"#012Detai…

My homeserver is running a pulseway agent and pihole (running dnsmasq) on debian testing. Pihole shows every 16 seconds a CNAME call of the homeserver to ws5.pulseway.com. All my other computers with a pulseway agent (Windows-10) don't call this much. My question is, how can I change my configuration to bring back the amount of calls.

  22. Hi there, I have been using Pulseway for some months now and everything was good until yesterday when I rebooted the machine the agent is running on. This machine went throught Linux updates some days before so I think this is related. What I experience is that when the service starts, reads the configuration, but after a second the daemon exits with code 11 as you can see below. ● pulseway.service - Remotely Monitor and Control IT Systems Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/pulseway.service; enabled; vendor preset: enabled) Active: failed (Result: signal) since Sat 2019-08-03 23:42:38 WEST; 1s ago Process: 23493 ExecStart=/usr/sbin/pulsewayd --…

  23. I am attempting to install pulseway on my raspberry pi 3b+, and have downloaded and installed the correct file from the pulseway website, and made sure that my openssl libraries are up to date and correctly setup. I followed through with the given installation instructions and repeatedly the pulseway service is unable to be started. When executing the command sudo systemctl start pulseway, the command works and presents no errors. Upon checking the app or the list of all services, however, pulseway is not shown as a service and there is no devices connected to the app. See the attached images for the output of sudo systemctl status pulseway

Seems my server can't connect to ws0 thru the pulseway client, no, it is not a DNS or Internet error, the server in question can successfully ping the server. pulseway: Error while registering online:SOAP 1.1 fault SOAP-ENV:Server[no subcode]#012"No route to host"#012Detail: connect failed in tcp_connect() pulseway: Error while registering computer:SOAP 1.1 fault SOAP-ENV:Server[no subcode]#012"No route to host"#012Detail: connect failed in tcp_connect() These are the two errors I get in syslog.
