  1. There is, you can share a computer with another account in read-only mode as Marius stated in his first reply. This can be fixed with an Enterprise Server which gives you access to account management. Consider this scenario you have 3 servers all under the same uber-admin account. From that account you create a share with your account with full-access and the other two read-only access in order to get notifications. The other admins can get full access on their servers too.
  2. Why not allow all devices to use access your computers?
  3. Hello, I would really love to know when my computer was last seen online (Date and Time if possible). This information should be included when the computer is offline. It's useful to know when the computer got offline if you don't actually monitor it's power state. Any comments on this? Thanks.
  4. No users are allowed to view other profiles for privacy reasons. You can still access your PM box using the envelope letter on the top of the forum ( two icons on the left of your name). Here is a quick link to compose a new message and here is a link to your PM box. Paul.
  5. It's not only dialogs that can be resized like this. It's more of a estetical bug. Nothing that can mess up the functionality of the application. I think it was designed like this to allow enlargments of forms.
  6. Nothing wrong with the OS and no war but I was just pointing out a few facts that cost does not mean quality. And yes everyone has the right to like / dislike anything they want .
  7. Apple takes a computer from it's factory price adds the brand and amplifies the price with 50% then sells it. No thank you . No offense intended but other than providing paid customer support and "We are sorry but for this type of question you must contact one of our phone support agents". I've been using some of their products and I can tell you for sure their products are highly overrated and overpriced. I find it shame to waste a lot of money only to buy from a brand. If you would like good support try approaching some enterprise level products such as HP or Dell. Apple is a successful company for it's brand not for quality products. If you're an apple customer please answer just one question, what do you do when your computer starts slowing down in time? [You buy a new one, everyone does. Nobody bothers opening one of their products to see that they apply some form of transparent glue that oxides the contacts and kills it in time.] I'm sorry but I just couldn't help it. I can't be a fan of a product made to die only to buy a new one. @Thread: I recommend you purchasing some SSDs as they are more safe and faster than normal hard drives. Paul.
  8. Hello, What is exactly happening when you start the app. It opens and closes by itself? Does it make an error message?
  9. +1 I like the idea. It actually promotes user activity and adds more kudos to the community. Let's see what the others have to say about this.
  10. Hello, This can be caused by incompatible .NET versions. Can you please tell me the directory contents of C:WindowsMicrosoft.NETFramework ? The folder contain a subdirectory for each .NET version you have installed. Paul
  11. I couldn't help to notice that you specified Remote Desktop connection links. Will it require to open rdp ports and use custom rdp ports for multiple machines in the same external network or it can traverse NAT on both ends? Great job by the way, love the new UI!
  12. Looks great so far. Quick question, can you collapse and compress groups?
  13. The red light remains red as long as there is a notification for that computer. There is not "Mark as read" function at this moment.
  14. Have you tried in CurrentControlSet too? Paul
  15. Try creating an account from the mobile application. Maybe PC Monitor is under maintenance. Paul.
  16. If it's a notebook try checking if it's still under warranty, if you already opened it then you voided your warranty agreement. Just to clear this out this was never caused by PC Monitor nor the bluscreen has anything to do with applications you installed, this is just a normal hardware failure.
  17. Yes, the problem is in the driver (less likely) or in the hardware. Try checking the connections of your drives and if that doesn't solve the problem you need to replace the faulty device. Before doing so you can try changing the connection port on the motherboard, low quality mainboards heat up and expand the socket ports thus loosing the connection with the data cable from time to time causing controller errors and in the end bluescreens. Paul
  18. Hello, Kernel Power events are not the cause of your problem. Those events are generated at your next login time of windows. You only need to monitor for disk and controller errors. A disk error will be logged and you will receive a notification if a bluescreen will not fire in that instance. Paul

    UPS

Hello, PC Monitor doesn't support UPS monitoring at this time, however I think it will only be posible only if the UPS manufacturer provides you a third party application that monitors the status and writes events in Windows Event Log or in a file. Then you can use PCM to read the log file or sent it to your email.
  20. +1! PC Monitor has an update system that unlike other solutions doesn't interrupt the user's activity and has a tolerance for faulty internet connections. If PC Dashboard get an auto-update system would be just great.
  21. Hello, The vmware module is not available at the web interface at this moment. At this moment only iOS supports vmware. Paul.
  22. Hello, I think Windows Backup generates events in the event log for successful or failed backup jobs. You can use PCM to monitor the specific event ids and have it deliver a PUSH or an email notification. Reports is a planned feature that will be added to the Enterprise server, however at this moment it's not finished. You can take a look at the Roadmap post to check out the current development status. You can also use PC Dashboard to deliver updated configuration among all installations and manage your notifications from one place. There is also a good reply from JeffVandervoort about the configuration of backup event notifications: Link. Paul.
  23. A subscription is not that bad, gives you extra computers plus gets you access to all features, including the vmware module that was just released in 2.6 . Think about how much time you save using PC Monitor, for me it's a great solution. It helped me a lot and it doesn't cost much, so in my opinion it's a win-win situation.
  24. All server modules got changed to enterprise or subscribers only. Any subscription will reactivate the server modules without any manual reactivation on the host agents.
  25. Hello, PCM Dashboard is already doing this. Try it out. You need to have the target computer online tho. Paul.
