Rittenhouseit Posted February 24, 2016 Posted February 24, 2016 I'm a little frustrated with the fact that I can't monitor RAID configurations and Drive failures and also can not monitor host resources on ESXi hosts. I love the remote features but does anyone have suggestions on how I could monitor RAID arrays remotely. Hopefully via Pulseway. Actually very frustrated Over this even though the product is good in other ways.
Staff Chris Posted February 24, 2016 Staff Posted February 24, 2016 Hi, Pulseway cannot directly monitor RAID arrays however you can use the following tools that redirect RAID events to the event log which Pulseway can detect and notify you. For HP you can use the "HP Smart Array Event Notification Service" and for DELL there are built-in event log writers in the drivers (documentation). Also check to see if the RAID Adapter supports SNMP which Pulseway can hook into and monitor the status too. Chris
Rittenhouseit Posted February 24, 2016 Author Posted February 24, 2016 Excellent work-around. Thank you. I will test and if I have questions, I will get back to you.
