I have just tried it out on my machine and I reproduce the problem with Firefox 16.0.1 . Now let's see what the support will reply.

Hello, Basically you are saying that if you open up each computer and issue a Wake Up command, everything will work and if you browse a Group containing the same computer you previously succeeded into waking up, issue a Wake Up All Computers command nothing happens? If so, have you tried performing the same test using a mobile device?

You are right, this is a bug. Rest assured that the Development team frequently checks the forums and this issue will be resolved. Nice catch!

I think this is covered in the manual too, but here is an a short description: Maintenance mode disables all notifications on the computer. While maintenance mode is enabled you don't get notifications from that computer until you disable it. Hope that makes sense, Paul.

Or have a plugin send a notification for that -regarding my current project- .

I have just tested it out and I think Webcam and ScreenView features are not part of the trial subscription.

Viewing the S.M.A.R.T. data of a device can give you insight of hardware statistics and status, for instance my SSD gives me two counters for the amount of GB read and written and remaining life of the drive. On my HP SmartArray 430 I get RAID status and Raid health. Just google for smart values and I'm sure you will understand. The problem with SMART is that each manufacturer uses it's own set of value types and it's almost impossible of knowing each value id what it means, for instance SMART value id 55 can mean three different things if read on three different manufacturers. Also if SMART get's tripped you know if the drive is faulty and requires replacement.

Hello knoxlogic, Just some quick sanity checks: You have an active subscription on your account. You activated Screen View and Webcam View from PC Monitor Manager. You did not uncheck 'Screens' and 'Webcam' from the 'Available Features' tab in the PC Monitor Manager. You look at the same computer using PC Monitor mobile app or Web Application. Can you confirm that all those are true? Paul.

Hello, You will eventually need to manually install or use a deployment strategy to deploy the agent on your network. After you have deployed your agent you can use Group Polices (consult the user manual to see how they work) to provide some starter configuration, then you can modify it with the Dashboard application from one centralized place. Paul.

Well rather than asking for more you can buy yourself a subscription and get all those subscriber features too such as server modules and now web app. It's a good price to be honest and I think you would be actually doing yourself a favour by taking it. If you really want a free solution use the Windows 8 app to manage your computers.

You can catch all RAID issues by monitoring the disk source, by default Windows logs all raid events to disk source events.

Hello, This is a good question but in a bad context. As I've seen in the news post they have taken down the Web App because of a server upgrade and to ensure quality of service for current subscribers. I understand this decision and I am happy that it happened to be honest. Recently they have increased the number of computers you can monitor for free from three to five thus allowing you to do more for free. This has been done only to perform a favor to it's free users that don't want to spend money on a tool that keeps them connected with their PCs because we all know that if a company needs more computers to monitor they buy more licenses with no problem. However the decision on taking down the Web Application for free users must have been tied to the computer limit upgrade because they are trying to balance these two types of memberships and to offer high quality service and 99% uptime to everybody and we all know this is not an easy thing to do if your giving away everything for free. In other words asking for a date when this decision will change is out of the discussion because I'm sure if it would've been possible to keep it going there would have been no reason to take it off. Try to understand that now the decision has been made there is no way knowing when this will revert. Paul.

Hello In this case I would create a second filter along with the ones with keywords that will only include the following source filters: HpCISSs2,disk Paul.

Hello, If you don't want to be notified about windows updates you can always disable them from the Windows Agent. At this moment it isn't possible to mark as read or anotate a notification, however on the Roadmap is planned a Notification Report for PC Monitor Enterprise Server and I think the possibility of archiving notifications will become possible at that time. Paul.

Bravo, looks great and professional at the same time! I have no background in NoSQL technologies, can you tell me what makes it different from other transactional database engines? I'm always curious about new stuff and I'm interested in anything that's beating the performances of the tools I currently use. I will try out your plugin in the weekend, this has made me really curious.

With the release of input controls do you have any interest in updating my plugin to support some features like user creation, editing, reports. If so, what feature are you interested in?
  17. The idea of implementing a notification that will only send the amount of events per category is a lot better than receiving for each event in a category. Let's see what others have to say about this.

As much as I hate bumping old topics I would like to add that this is possible to be implemented as a plugin with great ease! Since the release of PC Monitor API 3.0 you can use input controls to send data back to your plugin. If you would like to try making a plugin for this just let me know and I will give you some help.

Hello Yves, I've been thinking on my reply and I realized I'm wrong. The settings I've specified change the refresh rates of computer agents with the server, not the Dashboard's refresh rate. I'm sorry for the confusion. I don't know of any option that can change the refresh rate of the Dashboard application. Maybe you should consider opening a feature request to see if it's possible to have it. Paul

I've been doing it for quite a while. It might help if we get some more community interaction in here, at the moment we only have support and development topics. You have any ideas except social networks? What can keep a forum moving and increase it's community by keeping on-topic discussions? I might start posting some tutorials that will explain how Mobile PC Monitor can help you on various situations. Any feedback on this would do good too .
  21. Hello, As far as I know there is no way to customize the web interface at this moment. However you can see a red banner if it has a critical alert (an offline notification if configured).
  22. Paul replied to grisardag's post in a topic in Dashboard
Hello, You can only change the refresh rates if you have an enterprise server and it can be done via the PC Monitor Admin utility -> Server Settings tab -> General subtab: Agent Minimum Refresh Interval : 2 Agent Maximum Refresh Interval : 10 (this is the refresh rate) If you are interested in an enterprise server, you can request a free trial from here . Paul.

Usually software companies prioritize features that are highly requested by a large amount of people, that's why I'm asking everyone to post their stories and ideas on this topic to attract attention of the development team. Also referring people to this topic and asking them to post feedback about the idea will only increase it's chances to get implemented. So, let's see how many persons think this would be a good feature for Mobile PC Monitor.
  24. Paul replied to Paul's post in a topic in Feature Requests
Ofcourse having a public repository of plugins would be a great idea, combined with the current PC Monitor Group Policy you would be able to choose which groups to download and install a set of plugins. However this can be further extended to the point of Provisioning computers and automating maintenance tasks. The part with high traffic loads on the server due to patch file sizes can be easily solved by enabling this feature only on the Enterprise Servers and providing a limited trial on the cloud ones. After all I'm not sure if large enterprises would even consider sending to foreign server scripts that contain sensitive information like private keys, encription passwords, user tables and so on. In few words you are giving a system administrator the power to perform complex (pre-configured) maintenance tasks from his phone while he is on the go to any computer even road-warriors (computers that are not in intranet). Edit: Can you think of any other usages of this solution? If so, please post them here.

The only way (at this moment) to do this is by Group Policy if all your computers are in an Active Directory environment by having startup scripts. If we would have this sort of Bulk Provisioning system all of this work would have been replace with a 10 minute job on a patch. Deploying updates to plugins, that's another great scenario where this feature could be used.
