Can anyone point me to the Linux Agent 8.* /etc/pulseway/config.xml documentation?

I did search the forum for the answer to this but couldn't find any. What options do I have if the sysadmin when I'm installing pulseway and decides to use supervise to run the services. Any ideas what I put for DaemonType and any other options? Is much appreciate it!

Is it possible to install Pulseway on Alpine linux? I tried just installing the latest debian/ubuntu image, but it didn't work, so I'm wondering if there's any chance of this still working out

I have an Ubuntu server that Pulseway failed to work after the 8.0 upgrade. I left it for awhile and installed the new version which is now working. The group shows default site...... - Legacy. I stopped the service, verified the computer went offline and service had stopped, changed "Legacy" to my domain name, saved the XML then started the service. When it popped back online it still showed Legacy. I pulled the XNL and sure enough Pulseway changed it back. Did it again and again the service changed it back. Hi, We are running a Linux based VCenter appliance. Do we need to install a Linux version of the agent on this appliance for it to show up as a separate entity under the server groups. Currently we have to access the VCenter from a server module from a different server. Many thanks.

I am unable to register a machine after installing the package on the newest version of ubuntu. I get the following error: Would you like to register or unregister the system? [1] Register System [2] Exit Enter selection: 1 Please enter a username: MAIN Please enter the password: Use custom server? [y|n] n An error encountered while processing the request. We are having some issues regarding offline notifications. The problem is that when the servers are rebooted for whatever reason, this does not generate a offline notification. It will only trigger if the server has been down for at least 5 minutes. For Windows servers the notification "Send a notification when the computer is shutting down" is working great, only this does not seem to function on Linux machines. Is there another way to track when a server gets a reboot and is back online within that 5 minute period?

I am trying to configure Pulseway on my Ubuntu Server 20.04 LTS machine, but I'm having issues getting it to recognise systemd services. The services I want to monitor are smbd, plexmediaserver and clamav-freshclam. Regardless of what configuration I use, none of these services are even recognised by Pulseway let alone monitored. I have also tried setting each service as "NONE", "UPSTART" and "SYSVINIT" but nothing seems to work. The strange part is that ssh is monitored despite the fact that it's configuration is identical to the others. Here is a screenshot of my configuration: Can someone please help me out here? We had a Rasberry Pi that I believe was offline during the upgrade to 6.0, I turned it on but it will not check in. I did try updating the login info, I don't believe the old Administrator account exists under the new user based system. But still no luck, I have noticed it does not encrypt the password when I restart the service if that is a clue what is wrong. Any ideas appreciated.

Hi, I installed pulseway to my arch linux machine, the registration went fine. The machine is visible under "Account -> Manage Systems" and also "Sites" menu. However it is not visible under "Systems -> Systems" and also keeps sending me notification "There was an error retrieving the notification." I have tried to go through logs etc. however I cant find the problem. Can anyone tell me what seems to be the problem. I have set it up and it works. But it keeps going offline. The fact that it works temporarily indicates its not an issue with my router settings. I do have a proxy set up on Unraid but that is through a docker container which only applies to certain programs. I have tried disabling it and is still has the same issue. No VPN set up. Several Linux machines behind proxy server are suddenly showing as offline. No changes to proxy or network so assume there has been a software update? I have tested with the proxy server configured as an IP Address, and hostname. The above is when configured with IP Address. config.xml

We recently got an Axe Effect Temperature monitor to keep an eye on the server room temperature. This is a linux based device and we've managed to get the device discovered on the Site Map and we can see the temperature values from the device via a SNMP variable that we have setup. The issue is that we want to have Pulseway send out an alert if the server temperature rises about a certain level. Trying to define a policy to monitor the snmp variables to flag on an overheat condition, I am unable to properly map to these variables, I am assuming it's due to the fact that SNMP only applies to Windows devices? So I have configured Pulseway agent on RHEL 8 to monitor nginx. I have configured it as a systemd service and sure enough I get an alert if I stop nginx. But it only does this once. If I start the service wait a few mins and stop it again it does not re alert, even if I clear the alarm. The only way i can get it to work again is restart the pulseway service.
