B14CK_H4WK Posted November 18, 2018 Posted November 18, 2018 Guys WTF is this. I specifically use pulseway to help automate solutions and fixes based on rules and now its not supported? What release was this removed? No wounder why i see such a influx of ticket now... Why is this function removed? I will gladly removed my subscription if this is the case
Administrators Paul Posted November 20, 2018 Administrators Posted November 20, 2018 Hi there, This feature was removed from the Pulseway Windows agent as it's coming up as a component of the upcoming automation module update where you will be able to setup custom event based triggers for Tasks. The rules functionality on the agent is now used only for sending notifications based on the conditions you've previously setup. -Paul
dpbklyn Posted November 25, 2018 Posted November 25, 2018 Hey Paul, Is there a timeline on this release? I was just trying to automate some tasks and got totally tripped up because the Rules were deprecated. Thank you, B14CK_H4WK 1
B14CK_H4WK Posted December 30, 2018 Author Posted December 30, 2018 I'm told these are being implemented back into the next update, but this is killing me in support requests that were previously automated
B14CK_H4WK Posted February 1, 2019 Author Posted February 1, 2019 is there any ETA at all when this will be back?
Gary Haberl Posted February 6, 2019 Posted February 6, 2019 (edited) I think it is fantastic that Pulseway is finally doing something with automation. But why remove our only option to automate something before you release the new feature. No wonder I am not getting my backup notices any more. I thought they were just working better. Now I need to go look again and find a new way to automate the task. (Back to Zabbix to monitor our backups.) One step forward, 3 backward. Well, on the plus side, if I did not see this post I would have missed our backup issues for clients. Edited February 6, 2019 by Gary Haberl
B14CK_H4WK Posted April 4, 2019 Author Posted April 4, 2019 Yeah i agree this is ridiculous at this point, im sure it took more effort to remove the automation that did exist then to just leave it. Its been almost 6months at this point don't expect me to renew.
spicysupport Posted April 4, 2019 Posted April 4, 2019 Trigger would be great to have any update when this will be released ?
colin.ferguson Posted December 23, 2019 Posted December 23, 2019 Has this really still not been addressed?? We need to be able to automate tasks based on alerts. Why did you remove this feature when the "replacement" feature is not ready? This makes absolutely no sense at all. By all means replace this with a more advanced option WHEN the new one is ready but who's bright idea was it to remove this nearly TWO YEARS before the replacement is ready. Absolute madness.
