I recently got a new phone, which is a Pixel 2 XL and I've noticed I never receive push notifications for when an alert is thrown out in the app.  I have had no issues with any other app throwing push notifications and have not modified any settings in how notifications are displayed on my device.

I am on Android v 9.0 currently if that matters.

We've released another update (v6.0.1) that addresses the PUSH notification deliverability problems. Please update and check again the PUSH notifications.

You need to launch the app at least once to get the device to register again.

Wow. The developers didn't even test the update before they pushed out the first update to verify that their changes actually resolved the issue? Doesn't give me a lot of confidence in this software.

We do have automated tests and our developers are testing each update before it gets pushed to the beta and production channels. That being said we support a wide variety of Android devices, we cannot test each device with each supported version so it's possible that a fix we're introducing may not apply to all the devices.

Rest assured as we are taking software quality very seriously.

After the most recent Android app update, I'm now getting updates again.  THANkS MUCH!  Just LOVE the service and very much depend/use the app to manage my home environment.  It's the easiest subscription I pay for each year.

The reason I made that comment: It looked like you guys pushed out a fix for the problem without verifying the fix actually resolved the problem. Generally as a developer, after you fix something you should verify that your fix worked before you claim you're done.

If that's not the case, I'm sorry for jumping to conclusions.

I'm glad to hear that this appears to be resolved now. I'll be testing it now to verify.

Looks like it's working for me.

I had to do a little bit before:

Settings
Details
Toggle 'Enable Push Notifications' off then on again

Thanks for getting this working again
