Jamie Taylor reacted to Matthew Kendrick in Custom Type URL - Hyperlink or Button
We're looking to leverage the custom fields to add links for external documentation specific to the account or project to records in Pulseway PSA. The only data type that seem suited is "Free text" but then you need to copy paste the link to view it. Can we get an option for URL that creates a hyperlink or button?

Jamie Taylor reacted to Matthew Kendrick in Additional Date Codes
The 2 date code formats are insufficient. In Canada we use YYYY-mm-dd as the only official date code and that is not an option. Currently using European as it is close but backwards. Can we get the ability to code it ourselves how we want or more options?

Jamie Taylor reacted to Mark in com.pulseway.PulsewayHelper on mac using 100% CPU all the time. Drains entire Mac M1 battery in less than 1h - How to uninstall it?
Pulseway is not available in AppStore. Native M1 agent is in QA and will be released in 2 weeks. (at the moment the agent is emulated via Rosetta 2 on M1)
You can un uninstall the agent via Terminal:
sudo launchctl unload /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.pulseway.PulsewayHelper.plist sudo launchctl unload /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.pulseway.PulsewayHelper sudo launchctl unload /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.pulseway.PulsewayCommandHelper sudo rm -v /Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/com.pulseway.Pulseway*

It works now! Thank you! Just what I needed.
Have a great day Paul!
Quick followup question: Any way to copy the notification settings associated with a host in the same manner?

Hi Jamie.
Restarting the PW service seems to have done the trick. I'll watch it throughout the day to confirm.
Thanks again,
Brant

Jamie Taylor reacted to OpenTechNW in Installing MacOS Agent with Kandji
Hello,
I'm looking to deploy the MacOS Pulseway Agent using kandji. It Installs fine but I'm looking for a good way to have it automate the server registration with a post installation script.
Is there a config.xml like with the Linux agent? or some way i can automate the registration process?
Thank you,
OT

Jamie Taylor reacted to dock999 in Cannot create a personal account for home sever.
From the : Get Start" page , I was asked to fill " company email address" . even when I fill with " personal" in " business " section , the webpage will not let me go to next page .
From another route, I managed to setup an email address ,user name and password , and have completed the email confirmation process However when I used the App in phone , I still got " Account error" with the user name and password.
Is Pulseway now a pure business program?

Jamie Taylor reacted to RandomBagel in Email file on android client and web client not showing up
I'm trying to email myself a file from another PC managed with pulseway, but even though I set up the SMTP server in the dashboard (and send a test email, confirmed it is working), the option to email a file on the android and web apps do not appear. I've tested this on two PCs and both have this issue. My account is a free account, so I'm wondering if this was moved to a premium only feature? If it did, are there any alternatives to somehow getting a file from a managed PC to my android phone?

Jamie Taylor reacted to Scott Range in See latest ticket update on title hover
I'd like to request that when we hover the cursor over the title of a ticket in the queue/view that it enables us to see the latest activity of that ticket, whether is is an internal note from a technician, or a reply from a customer etc

@Jamie Taylor Can you also let us know here if this was a defect or a planned changed? If its a defect, would be good if it was fixed at the next opportunity. If it was a planned changed, being transparent around the reasoning would help us (the customers) get some understanding :-)

Jamie Taylor reacted to Fred_BD in Uptime / Downtime Reporting
@Jamie Taylor Sorry to pile on here but we're also looking for this feature.
If we aren't eligible to have it enabled for us, can anyone think of a workaround to get roughly the same results? I am thinking of a daily task that runs a simple script (ping 127.0.0.1?) which will fail for a system that can't respond back and will report as such, but that feels messy and may bring in false positives. It also would only occur at a particular time during the day, which would exclude any computers operating outside of when the task runs. I guess I can have multiple tasks running at different times during the day, but then I'm compiling that data and... it would just be easier if this were a built-in feature, I'm concluding!

Jamie Taylor reacted to Mark G38 in Pulseway network counter for a specific port over a specific time period
No it can't. You are better off with some other tool to look at network traffic.

Jamie Taylor reacted to Mark G38 in Patch Management: Reboot if Required
I don't have an official answer for this, but honestly I think your idea of how patch management works is a bit off. You understand that Windows doing updates, often times requires a reboot before it can move onto the next patch/update, which may also require a reboot. So in general, even with other RMMs I've worked with, will install updates and reboot more than once if required all within the allowed patch window specified in the policy.

Jamie Taylor reacted to Mark G38 in Remote desktop and windows credentials
Unfortunately you cannot save credential login info with Pulseway's Remote connection. You'd need to use some other remote access tool.

Jamie Taylor reacted to WYE in Reboot notification
I don't think this can be done natively, as end user email addresses and other user details are not stored in Pulseway.
I think you'd need to call a script called from within a workflow that does this:
create an email address variable based on the username (following your organisational logic\syntax), sends the email via an API SMTP service (MailGun, SendGrid etc) Of course.. if this is something you want from Pulseway.. you know what to do.. raise a feature request over at... https://pulseway.featureupvote.com/
