Andy Raybould Posted April 8, 2019 Posted April 8, 2019 Hi I see 3rd party patching is now active but is an additional cost. This has been on the roadmap as an upcoming feature but additional costs were not made clear. Pulseway is now beginning to lose value? Regards, Andy

David Posted April 9, 2019 Posted April 9, 2019 I'd be happy to pay for reliable 3rd-party patching but I hope there are plans to expand the application list...
UTS Brian Posted April 10, 2019 Posted April 10, 2019 It is $0.30 per month per agent in the US. We are on the trial right now, but the list of software is so small we are not sure we will keep it. malvarez and lyoder 2
David Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 @Paul My patch policy for the 3rd-party patching trial is ""keep up to date if already installed" for all apps but I'm getting these logs.
David Posted April 11, 2019 Posted April 11, 2019 Also, why are these "error" tags present when no errors appear in the patch logs?
Administrators Paul Posted April 11, 2019 Administrators Posted April 11, 2019 @David Can you please send me a pm with the scan_results and logs folders archived from the c:\program files\pulseway\patch directory? I'll look it right away. @UTS Brian We're going to be adding an additional 9 software titles early next week and we're working on even more software titles as we speak. -Paul

Administrators Paul Posted April 15, 2019 Administrators Posted April 15, 2019 Thanks David. Looking at the logs it appears that we're reporting incorrectly to the server that the application is not supported when in fact there was no action to be performed as the product is either not installed or it's already on the latest version. We will correct this on the next release. -Paul
UTS Brian Posted April 16, 2019 Posted April 16, 2019 @Paul Do you have an ETA for the next release with the new software?
Administrators Paul Posted April 17, 2019 Administrators Posted April 17, 2019 Hi there, We're releasing new software titles on the 26th of April and then mid May another batch. We aim to have a new batch of software titles every 2-3 weeks. -Paul

Administrators Paul Posted April 18, 2019 Administrators Posted April 18, 2019 There were some delays but we're looking good for the next week's release, we're currently in the QA phase. -Paul
UTS Brian Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 (edited) DO NOT INSTALL THE 3RD PARTY PATCH DEMO - all of my OS patching ceased working, the best solution support can offer is to delete all 3rd party patch rules and hope it starts working again! Edited April 22, 2019 by UTS Brian
Administrators Paul Posted April 23, 2019 Administrators Posted April 23, 2019 Hey Brian, I'm sorry to hear that you've experienced issues with the patching feature, rest assured that the development team is actively looking into the issue. -Paul

Administrators Paul Posted April 23, 2019 Administrators Posted April 23, 2019 Hey everyone, After investigating all the cases we've determined that the patch policies are running as expected however there is an issue on the reporting feature. We have fixed the reporting bug and we will release an update in the next couple of days. The main point to highlight is that the patching is done as scheduled but not reported correctly. Thanks everyone for your support. -Paul
Administrators Paul Posted April 29, 2019 Administrators Posted April 29, 2019 Hey everyone, 6.3.1 is out and it resolves the issue with the patch history. -Paul

I also see you added some new software which is great but I have a request... with the licensing changes with Java its great we can remove it using Pulseway, but can you look at adding its free replacement OpenJDK? This would be very valuable as many Admins need to make this change soon.
Administrators Paul Posted May 1, 2019 Administrators Posted May 1, 2019 Hey Brian, Thanks for the update. Glad to hear it works now . We are having internal talks about OpenJDK, most likely we will be adding it to our catalog. In the meantime we will continue to provide update for the latest version of Oracle JDK 11. -Paul UTS Brian 1
