CFitz89 Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 Is it possible to set something within PC monitor to automatically restart a server a specific time or to setup a schedule to do this? I know it can be done through schedule tasks on the server its self and then you can monitor the task, but can it be done from within PC monitor?
digbyp Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 No it can't. But you have answered your own question in your last sentence. This is how I do it.
CFitz89 Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 Yes ut just sometimes it can be a bit unreliable and the task might not fire
digbyp Posted September 27, 2013 Posted September 27, 2013 I have been using scheduled tasks for a long while now with PCM and not noticed it not to work. If you are sure it does not work, perhaps turning on the diagnostic logs and testing and then sending results to PCM support to look into.
CFitz89 Posted September 27, 2013 Author Posted September 27, 2013 I don't think it is PC monitor causing the task not to fire. I was just wondering if it was possible within PC monitor
CFitz89 Posted October 1, 2013 Author Posted October 1, 2013 Does anyone think this may be a useful feature in future releases?
Administrators Paul Posted October 1, 2013 Administrators Posted October 1, 2013 Why not use a scheduled task to do it?
CFitz89 Posted October 4, 2013 Author Posted October 4, 2013 The scheduled task does not run successful every week. I cannot see any obvious reason for this
