tomas2
Dear Support, I tried the Mobile PC Monitor on my machine. It shows always a 0% CPU usage. My processor is a i7 2600K and Mainboard is Asus Maximus IV Extreme P67. Any hints?
Marius
We have seen a few isolated cases of this, usually happens on a new installation and it resolves after a computer restart. Are you using the latest PC agent (2.4.1)?
tomas2
Computer restart didn't solve the problem. Yes I am using latest PC agent (2.4.1). I have also restarted my Iphone. Could it be a BIOS-Issue? I have installed the freeware tool CoreTemp 1.0 and it shows me the correct CPU usage for example. So it's not a general readout problem with my hardware. Marius
Most likely it's not a BIOS issue. What Operating System do you have on that computer? We are using performance counters for reading the total CPU usage, are the performance counters working for you?
tomas2
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 (64-Bit). No, when I try to add a performance counter I get a critical error message. http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/843/performancecounter.png/
tomas2
That resolved the problem!! Rebuild performance counter with these steps: 1. Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box. 2. Right-click cmd in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue 3. At the command prompt, type the following line, and then press ENTER: Lodctr /r 4. You will receive the following message: "Info: Successfully rebuilt performance counter setting from system backup store" 5. Exit Command Prompt Marius
Marius
Great, glad it worked. Thank you for your support and for posting the solution.
Corey Bryant
Just for the record, I had the same issue with a Dell PowerEdge 2900 & Server 2003 OS. After running lodctr /r from the prompt, the CPU usage showed up right away on my phone. Note that in any Server OS, lodctr /r does NOT return any kind of message when it succeeds. It will just take you back to the prompt. Marius

Marius
Have you tried rebuilding the counters as suggested in this post?
custommediasystems
I have a single system that constantly shows 100% CPU utilization. I have rebuilt performance counters, reinstalled applications on desktop system and iOS devices and this has not resolved the issue. Â The system is running Windows 8.1 with all system updates. Administrators Paul Posted August 18, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 18, 2014 Did you run the "lodctr /r" command in an administrative command prompt?
custommediasystems
Did you run the "lodctr /r" command in an administrative command prompt?  Yes. No change.
Administrators Paul Posted August 24, 2014 Administrators Share Posted August 24, 2014 In this case I have no further ideas. Your performance counters seem to be broken. Try doing a WMI checkup too with the WMI Diag tools from Microsoft. http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ff404265.aspx
custommediasystems
On August 20, 2014 at 8:50:06 AM, custommediasystems said:  Yes. No change. I now have issues with 2 additional systems which are both new, and both systems have the same problem with 99-100% CPU utilization.  I have tried all suggestions on this forum and nothing has resolved the issue.  Let me know what to do here because this is now unacceptable from a product that I subscribe to. Administrators Paul Posted June 2, 2017 Administrators Share Posted June 2, 2017 Hi Matt, Have you ran 'lodctr /R' as an administrator on that machine? (Note the capital R in the command line). -Paul
Matt
Yes with the result "Info: Successfully rebuilt performance counter setting from system backup store." Unfortunately, there is no change in the CPU usage reported.
