    Hi,

I am new to PC Monitor, but it look to me that it is only possible to add management of one SQL Server instance pr. computer.
Is that right? And if so ... is support for multiple instances on the list of upcoming futures? It would be very nice, because we have several servers with multiple SQL instances.

    Hi everyone,

I've raised a question about this with our development team and they believe that it makes sense that it doesn't work because:

Explanation: On Windows Vista (or higher) operating systems, Microsoft moved all windows services into a different User Session on the computer, namely Session 0. This change was done to enhance the security (and privacy) of the user so that Windows Services will no longer be able to interact with the User Sessions, behaviour called "Session 0 Isolation". Furthermore services run in separate WindowStations (console session runs in WinSta0 and session 0 into a generated WindowStation for each windows service). This is the reason why the Terminal or PowerShell features from Pulseway cannot launch applications directly into the Console Session. Since POTS is running in a sandbox in the Pulseway Service it has the same limitations as windows services do.

Solution: You could create a Scheduled Task (impersonate it run with your user credentials) and have it run the powershell script you desire. User impersonated scheduled tasks run into the console session and CAN interact with the Desktop the user currently sees. You can use Pulseway to start the scheduled task on demand.

    Hi guys,
We're planning to introduce this in a more general way which allows you to specify an account-wide priority filter per delivery mechanism:
    Email:
    Critical Elevated Normal Low Push:
Critical Elevated Normal Low Which allows you to opt out of certain priorities just like the Slack integration works.

I would like to 2nd this request.   We can do this for Slack, it is a real shame I can't do this for Email.  Because Windows Update notifications create so much noise, the usefulness of the Emailed Notifications is vastly reduced.  I want to email a distro group with Critical matters only, and keep low priority items in the dashboard.

Thanks Paul - thats the answer I was kind of angling for....
Although it's something we haven't experienced (yet) - but if we had a contractor or employee issue, we would like to cut the tie immediately without any disruption to our agent devices...
Look forward to it hitting an update in the near future (I hope)..
    Thanks - Grunta

Wouldn't it be better to use username and password just for registering the agent with the server and then exchange a key between both systems? This way it qould be easy to move systems between users without changing anything in the agent configuration. Even password changes could be survived by the agent.
    Regards
