VirtualPanther Posted February 23, 2017 Posted February 23, 2017 Greetings, I was wondering if there are plans to add remote desktop capability to mobile clients, specifically, to iOS. I am looking forward not having to use overlapping services. However, current implementation still leaves me needing Logmein or TeamViewer...
Administrators Paul Posted February 23, 2017 Administrators Posted February 23, 2017 Welcome to the Pulseway community! We're going to implement the RD first on the webapp and then we're going to make plans on having it on the mobile apps. I reckon iOS is going to be first. -Paul
VirtualPanther Posted March 1, 2017 Author Posted March 1, 2017 Look forward to it. Thank you for the update.
Sander Verkerk Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Hello Paul, Â Any update to the implementation in the webapp?
llebihan Posted July 31, 2017 Posted July 31, 2017 Wouldn't it be easier to implement a hook into Splashtop RMM client or Teamviewer instead of building it from the ground up?
Staff Chris Posted August 1, 2017 Staff Posted August 1, 2017 We already have our own RD connection, but we need to modify this application so that we can initiate it from the Pulseway WebApp.
llebihan Posted August 21, 2017 Posted August 21, 2017 I realize you already have your own RD connection, and I use it often, but once it's hooked into the pulseway webapp what's the roadmap for features like file transfers, quality settings, proper scale settings, faster screen switching, chat, etc and an iOS app? Â Thank you Chris
Staff Chris Posted October 19, 2017 Staff Posted October 19, 2017 We are still working on this. The Pulseway RD connection currently doesn't support file transfer, however we will introduce this option, when we will introduce the P2P connections for the Pulseway RD connection. This will greatly increase the Pulseway RD connection speed. Also we are planning to add the chat option via Pulseway RD. This is our roadmap.
mink365 Posted August 12, 2019 Posted August 12, 2019 Hi, Any updates on this? There are actually two open source projects you could borrow here MeshCentral2 or Remotely and make the feature available in the web app. At the moment I have Meshcentral2 installed on all my computers so I can work from my iPad (browser) Thanks
Darius Posted January 10, 2020 Posted January 10, 2020 There an update on this project? Will this also include profiles(for locking down the iPad) and allowed/disallowed what apps to install/run. Will you be interfacing into Apple business manager for easier access into the devices? Many questions little time, I would like to see you guys in this market.
Staff Chris Posted February 26, 2020 Staff Posted February 26, 2020 Hi @Darius, We already support Remote control option for Windows from IOS devices and it is planned to add remote Control option for MAC systems into the future.
JasonRoberge Posted July 23, 2020 Posted July 23, 2020 I am also looking to add a remote desktop on iOS. If anyone gets the best solution please help me to add a remote desktop.
Administrators Paul Posted July 23, 2020 Administrators Posted July 23, 2020 Hi Jason, The remote control functionality for iOS devices is already available for paying customers. If you have a free account drop me your username and I will be activating a trial subscription. -Paul
