Is there a way to install pc monitor on Raspberry Pi running Openelec? I can connect to the Raspberry pi via ssh but commands are limited. There’s no dpkg command nor does apt-get work. Best option of course would be a normal xbmc add-on support. Would that be possible?

I was deploying the agents to a very large amount of linux clients (various flavours), we have a chef infrastructure in place so decided to leverage this. I have created a cookbook that gets the latest download .deb or .rpm and install it and configures the config.xml. You can use chef to set all the various options via attributes. feel free to use https://github.com/py-man/chef-pcmonitor and modify. cheers

Hey folks I have configured PC Monitor on my MacBook Pro, Ubuntu 12.04 and iPhone. I can monitor hardware stats like CPU Temperature from my MacBook Pro with my iPhone without any problems. When I try to monitor the temperature from my Linux Machine, I fail. What do I have to add in the config.xml to monitor the linux temps? Is this feature supported from PC Monitor? If not, are there some plans to add this feature in the near future? Thanks for help

  12. Hello there! I had three Linux systems monitored and everything worked fine untill yesterday. Then one raspbian was reported offline around noon, other some time later, and when I booted old laptop with Debian it reported coming online on my iphone, only to go offline few minutes after that. All machines were online all the time, only pcmonitor service stopped working and can not be started. Funny thing is that when I start it again it appears to actually work for few seconds before dying again. I can see that because iphone app says that system went offline few seconds ago. Besides that I montiror one Windows 7 PC and I have no problems with that. I haven…

Hey Guys, I am new to PC Monitor and Raspberry Pi, and I have run into some issues and I have some questions. I will start from the top. First, I am having issues with the RPI going offline. It seems to happen when I try accessing the RPI from the Iphone App (My main method). I have the RPI setup to ping a single device, and it seems that whenever I look at the ping responses on the iphone, the RPI drops offline completely. Usually after a while it comes back online. Today it actually went offline for a few hours. The only way I could get it back on was to restart the process. (It showed Failed When I checked the status of the process. Where do I go from here? Are the…

All other data (CPU, Disk, etc) is showing just fine for the two Ubuntu 12.04 systems, only network data is absent. I followed the install guide from this forum and edited the config file appropriately (I think). What am I doing wrong? Can anyone confirm they get network data on Ubuntu 12.04? My config and ifconfig output are below.
