Change Group Name Via Automated Script?

Is there a script that can be used to change the group name on the Pulseway Manager client for a particular machine? This would help us reorganize a few machines without having the need to remote in to them.

Yes, it is possible. Please run the following script:

Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\MMSOFT Design\PC Monitor\" -Name GroupName -Value "New name for the Group"

Is there a script in order to change the system names via an automated script like I can change the group name?

 

Also, is there a mac equivalent to changing the group name via an automated script?

System names can be easily edited from PowerShell with help of the below script.

Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\MMSOFT Design\PC Monitor\" -Name ComputerName -Value "your_system_name"

 

Would you like to set your Pulseway computer name to the actual hostname simply leave the 'value' blank

Set-ItemProperty -Path "HKLM:\Software\MMSOFT Design\PC Monitor\" -Name ComputerName -Value ""

 

Unfortunately the same is not supported for MacOS, and any changes will need to be done manually. Really sorry about that...
