tomas2 Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Dear Support, I tried the Mobile PC Monitor on my machine. It shows always a 0% CPU usage. My processor is a i7 2600K and Mainboard is Asus Maximus IV Extreme P67. Any hints?
Marius Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 We have seen a few isolated cases of this, usually happens on a new installation and it resolves after a computer restart. Are you using the latest PC agent (2.4.1)?
tomas2 Posted September 19, 2011 Author Posted September 19, 2011 Computer restart didn't solve the problem. Yes I am using latest PC agent (2.4.1). I have also restarted my Iphone. Could it be a BIOS-Issue? I have installed the freeware tool CoreTemp 1.0 and it shows me the correct CPU usage for example. So it's not a general readout problem with my hardware.
Marius Posted September 19, 2011 Posted September 19, 2011 Most likely it's not a BIOS issue. What Operating System do you have on that computer? We are using performance counters for reading the total CPU usage, are the performance counters working for you?

Click Start, and then type cmd in the Start Search box. 2. Right-click cmd in the Programs list, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type your password or click Continue 3. At the command prompt, type the following line, and then press ENTER: Lodctr /r 4. You will receive the following message: "Info: Successfully rebuilt performance counter setting from system backup store" 5. Exit Command Prompt Marius 1

Corey Bryant Posted May 8, 2012 Posted May 8, 2012 Just for the record, I had the same issue with a Dell PowerEdge 2900 & Server 2003 OS. After running lodctr /r from the prompt, the CPU usage showed up right away on my phone. Note that in any Server OS, lodctr /r does NOT return any kind of message when it succeeds. It will just take you back to the prompt. Marius 1

custommediasystems Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 I have a single system that constantly shows 100% CPU utilization. I have rebuilt performance counters, reinstalled applications on desktop system and iOS devices and this has not resolved the issue. The system is running Windows 8.1 with all system updates.

Top Processes: - WMI Provider Host (wmiprvse.exe): 0.42% - Pulseway Service (PCMonitorSrv.exe): 0.29% - Host Process for Windows Services (svchost.exe): 0.03% - Desktop Window Manager (dwm.exe): 0.02% - Host Process for Windows Services (svchost.exe): 0.01% - Host Process for Windows Services (svchost.exe): 0.01% - Host Process for Windows Services (svchost.exe): 0.01% - Local Security Authority Process (lsass.exe): 0.01% - 64-bit Synaptics Pointing Enhance Service (SynTPEnhService.exe): 0% - Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (AcroRd32.exe): 0%
