Marius Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 Is there anything in the Application Event Log related to PC Monitor? Also, could you export the configuration from PC Monitor Manager (without the account details) and send it to our support email address? Thank you
TheAnomaly Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 I am also having this problem. Hope we can resolve it soon. See attached.pcmonitorfault.txt
Marius Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 Please download and run the Microsoft .NET Framework Repair Tool from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=30135 It should fix the issue, please let us know.
TheAnomaly Posted October 24, 2013 Posted October 24, 2013 I ran the repair tool and this issue seems to be fixed for me. Tx. Although I see also that the monitor has been updated to 4.0.5 from 4.0.4 so it could be either.
Marius Posted October 25, 2013 Posted October 25, 2013 Great, thanks for the update. The upgrade from 4.0.4 to 4.0.5 happened after the 4.0.4 was able to start successfully.
TheAnomaly Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 Okay, its not really working for me. It works for a few days then stops and I have to manually start the service. I have to run the repair tool every time to get it to work for a few days but then back to bad habits.
erik_m Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 I have the same issues here running windows 8.1 64 pro. The service seems to start a couple of times, then stops working and the computer is not monitored anymore. I read somewhere this happens when a windows update is installed? Anyways - this seems to pretty critical, so any idea how to fix this? The .NET Framework Repair Tool seems to not help.
Marius Posted November 1, 2013 Posted November 1, 2013 This is not an issue with our PC Monitor service but a .NET Framework issue that occurs on a very limited number of cases. Unfortunately we don't know when it will be fixed or what the fix is just yet. By enabling the diagnostic logging we determined that the OS does not initiate a service start at all. Could you please set the PC Monitor service to start Automatically with a Delayed Start and let us know if it makes a difference? Thanks.
Marius Posted December 5, 2013 Posted December 5, 2013 Hi, We've just released a new Windows Agent - 4.1.2 - can you please install this version? It should fix the issue.
